We're back from the most wonderful cruise ever!!!

About me: The biggest Disney fan of the family.

About DD: The biggest Dolphin lover! She has tons of Dolphin stuff. We are really excited because she will be doing the dolphin excursion in Nassau.


First thing I bought for the Cruise was her dress. I really didn't "buy it" though. It was given to her and I had to pay $18 for alterations. Not bad!

I am really having a hard time finding me a dress. I just can't find anything I like. So I might just have to wear a pant suit. I'm still looking around.

Which dolphin excursion is your DD doing? We did one on our 3-nighter and it was soooo much fun. Just wondering if it might be the same one that we did!

I have her booked for the Blue Lagoon Dolphin Encounter, but I'm hoping for an "upgrade" once we're there. I've read on here that if they have availability, that you can upgrade to the dolphin swim for an extra fee.

So, I thought I'd share pics of my FE & gifts. I have to admit I am not crafty at all! So my FE was bought from ebay. And all of my gifts were bought at Party City. (Think birthday party gift bags) I wish I was crafty, but I'm just not. I have seen the thread of pictures of homemade FE gifts and I really wish I could do some of those crafts. But I hope my fellow Dis cruise mates will forgive me for my "not-so-crafty" gifts. The most crafty these are, is the red ribbon I curled with scissors. That's as crafty as I get!

Thanks. I don't want to give the surprise away in case anyone from our cruise is lurking. But imagine if you're going to a Disney themed birthday party, what might me in the party loot bags.

And I'm happy to say that I'm going with PLAN A. My DD's teacher emailed me with the make up dates for that test.


Next installment, while patiently (yeah right) waiting for our trip, some of our little road trip travels. We love to road trip!!

I'm glad that you got things figured out with DD's school...that has to make you feel a lot better!!! Will y'all be staying onsite since you're driving down early?

I'm all about the road trips, so bring it on! I can't imagine how excited you are to only be two weeks away! Have you received all your travel docs yet?

We're not staying onsite. I found a great deal on a hotel just 1 mile from Disney for $32 a night. Couldn't pass that up! And the "value" resort stay would be $140 a night!!! Where is the value in that?

Yeah, I've got all my docs and I've printed my online check in stuff. I'm still working on getting my addresses together to put into GPS.

Oh, yeah. One thing you all will notice is that most of our pics are
of each other and only a few together. Because we're always by ourselves, that's how our pics turn out without having someone to take our pic together!

That's why I LOVE Disney....Photopass!!!!

Thank you! I dread the dating years! I'm raising her by myself, so I don't have that "father figure" to help keep her straight. But so far, so good. She's on the track team, which keeps her pretty busy.

OK, I need to talk to you all about a problem. I'm talking about a scaredy cat problem. Since we're going to MK before the cruise, I'm getting in the scaredy cat mode. Here's why. I can ride anything at MK except for the
"3 mountains". My DD told me I had to ride Big Thunder Mountain!

I've got to either suck it up & ride it, or disappoint my DD.
I have panic attacks. And I will seriously get sick feeling just thinking about riding that thing. The attacks used to be really bad, but not so much now.

Funny/sad/embarassing story from last year at Epcot:
I was fine all the way through the Test Track line , actually looking forward to it. Well, we get into the car, it starts rolling along. I see the uphill thing. My heart starts racing.
"Oh, no, I can not do this!" So I get a CM to let me get out of that thing, leaving my DD behind. She said she was going to ride it anyway.
I have the ride photo and it's so sad, but she still thinks it's funny!

Awww, bless your heart. I'm sorry to hear that you get freaked out about the "mountains". I wish I knew something to say to help you get over your fear, but I love those rides. What is it that scares you about them? Have you tried closing your eyes or anything?

I think it's the panic attack problem. I don't like to feel "trapped".
Two more examples:

1. Stitch Ride: My DD had rode it before, but not me. Well, last year she begged me to go on it. I had no idea what it was about. (The year before, I just peeked in and seen the shoulder harness and said no way!) So anyway, I really didn't want to do it because I thought it moved or something. So my DD went up to a CM and said "Please tell her this thing does not move!" After the embarrassment, the CM reassured me & I went on in. But I held onto my DD for dear life. Another incident that was funny to her.

2. Plane ride to Texas: Oh my gosh, on the first plane, I could've died I was so nervous. But after the first layover I was OK from then on.
