We are planning our October 2009 vacation and have decided to stay at the Beach Club Villas in a studio.

What kind of views are available for the studio category and where are the studios located on the property?

Thanks for all your help!

We stayed in a BCV studio last October. The villas are a different color than the hotel part. One is blue, the other green but I don't remember which is which. When you are facing the front entrance of the BC, the villas are on the left side. Our studio faced an inside garden area and we were on the main floor. We were close walking distance to Epcot.

Just subing since we will be staying in a studio in May for the first time. We asked for a pool view because we didn't want the road view. OP...I'm impressed that you got a room at BCV for October at the 7 month window. Wow, that's not easy to do.

We've had the pool and road view. We enjoyed the pool view the best, but also didn't mind the road. It was fairly quiet. I don't think there are any "great" views at the BCV, but I like it because it's one of the smaller DVC resorts.

I personally like the woods view better than the pool. Many of the pool view rooms also have the parking lot view. Plus there is the smoking section at the quiet pool so you get to watch the smokers!!!!

I think I liked our view last time the best. We were right off the elevator, almost directly over the Ariel statue area so we got to do a bit of people watching from the balcony down into the courtyard.

I agree with PP's though, there are no GREAT views from the BCV.

We stayed in a studio last November. We had asked for an Epcot view and were told we got it but... when it came time for fireworks, we couldn't see them. Our view was a walking path/woods that connected to the back of the resort. It was really convenient to walk to Epcot and would do it again. Next time I will ask for a fireworks view. We were in room 275.

Is there a way to find out how many of the studios are Handicap accessable? (love the link posted - thanks)

The studios are mixed through out the building as they are at all resorts.

We book at studio at BCV for our October trip. Honestly,I don't mind the road all. We always ask for an EPCOT view. One year we lucked out and had a view of the ball and the back of Imagination (wish I could remember that room number!). We have had a various assortment of rooms including the back of Canada and trees, trees, trees. No complaints - BCV is great.

We're staying at the BCV for the first time in April. It has been many years since our last stay at the BC (so long, that the BCV wasn't built yet, LOL!)

I'm looking forward to our stay, but I do recall our last stay at the BC was in a room above the quiet pool...and it was anything but quiet...even at midnight!

So, can anyone who has stayed over the BCV pool tell me if there are usually people out there past midnight and if it is noisey? Does the noise travel easily into your room? We're used to the thick impact windows at SSR so you barely ever hear outside noise there. If the pool area at the BCV is noisey then I would then request anywhere but a pool view. Thanks.;)

Also, are there toasters in the studios there?

We had a pool view and it was not particularly noisy. We didn't expereince any noise at night.

We had a pool view one bedroom (third floor) in June. It was really awful - people were in the pool way past midnight doing cannonballs and overall yelling and screaming. We called security and it would take 30 minutes for anyone to show up. It was bad enough I sent a letter to the dvcmember satisfaction team (I found the email address thanks to this board). I had a phone call from them two days letter and they seemed serious about taking care of the problem. All I think they need to do is post the signs that say the pool is closed (they have no problem putting them up when the weather is bad) and have security just do a pool check. Hopefully they will have these procedures in place when you are there. I have also stayed in a studio at BCV with the woods view and I would say I much prefer a view of a bunch of trees!

Yes, that was our experience when we stayed at the BC and our room was over the "not so" quiet pool...we weren't pleased so that's why I'm a bit apprehensive about staying by a pool.;) The "woods" area sounds great to me. I saw it on the map on another thread and I think I'd be thrilled with it as long as it's not on the road...I will request the woodsview and keep my fingers crossed!:goodvibes OH, and thanks Bobbi for answering my toaster question. I thought there would be one but didn't see it listed in the "official" listing so just making sure! Thanks!

I can't remember the room no., but we had a courtyard view on the first floor. The good thing about our room was that it was right at the entrance. When we came home from the parks, we just opened the door and walked across a tiny lobby and we were home. Then, we just opened our door, walked across a tiny lobby, and we were out by the quiet pool. This is kind of funny. We were going back and forth to our room for margaritas (in plastic glasses of course) one day. There was a lonely DVC salesman in the lobby and he was making comments about our comings and goings. I guess you had to be there. (lol)

This was our fifth floor woods view that we had in Dec. I thought it was pretty and it was quiet and peaceful.
