Question regarding upgrading AP's!

Hi all,

We are DVC members but are taking advantage of the "Buy 4 Get 3 Free" offer for our trip in April and staying at DSS. We didn't have anymore points to use this year and we didn't want to borrow into next years points. With that said....they give you Magic Your Way tickets with this package but we already have AP's. In fact they will expire in the middle of our April trip......does anyone know if they have any offers towards us renewing our AP's with this package? If not how much will it cost us to upgrade to Hoppers for 2 adults and 1 child on an 7 day Magic Your way pass?

Sorry this is so confusing.....Hope someone can help....

You can upgrade the MYW tickets from the package to any type of ticket you want. Just use up your APS, then use the unused package MYW 7 day tickets as a credit towards the cost of your renewal. You can do that at any guest relations location.

Subtract the cost of the MYW ticket from the cost of the DVC AP. If you include tax for both tickets, you'll be very close.

One thing that is being said is that you can upgrade the pass with the package to a 7 day MYW NON-EXPIRING ticket. But because of the 4/7 deal, your cost for this ticket will only be $286, the cost of a 4 day MWY NON-EXPIRING ticket.

When you get to Disney and need to upgrade, use this ticket to enter the gate so it becomes activated. Once you do that, you will get credit for the full price ($360) of the 7 day ticket toward your AP renewal.

Sounds like it works the same way it works when you buy discounted MYW tickets. You get credit for what you paid if the MYW ticket is unused and gate price if at least one day is used. You do have to make sure to do the upgrade within 14 days of the first use.
