Free dining for September 2009?

Does anyone have any guesses about whether they will be doing free dining this September? When would they announce it? I've never travelled during that promotion so I'm unsure how it works.

We booked free dinng last year, I believe they released the promotion to the general public in April.

Since 2005, Disney has been offering the Free Dining promo for Magic Your way packages with a 3 night minimum and a 14 day maximum (Basic Dining Plan; 1 TS, 1 CS, 1 Snack per person per night) during the last part of August until the end of September, give or take a few days. The free dining offer is usually announced during the first week of April. The first couple of days it will only be open to Disney Visa holders and then will open up to the general public. The booking dates for 2008 for the general public were August 24 through September 20 and you had to book by June 22 to receive the FD offer.

I received a pin code and it appears that this years dates for free dining will start 8/16 and go through 1st week of Oct. cannot remember the exact date but it is the first Thursday of Oct. I booked it last year the day it came out. Watch this web site and mousesavers for info starting the end of march. Check every day as the info will come out once the deal opens to Disney Visa cardholders for the first two days, then typically to general public after that. I booked my Sept 09 trip when I was there last Sept for free dining on the bounceback offer. Good luck and keep watching for it!

The pincode starts on 8/16 and ends 10/01.Bounceback starts 8/23 and goes thru 10/9? My guess is that the general public dates will fall after 8/23 and end before 10/01. The codes and bounceback would get longer dates(which is usually the case).The general public offer has traditionally been shorter than the UK promotion and the code and bounceback offers.

Yes you would get it your whole stay

How I wish we can booked a trip as early as anyone here. We just got there last Christmas holidays and the experience is really wonderful. Now we are planning to go back for the next holidays. But I want as early than that.

We did that last September....we checked in on the last day of FD for the public and we got it for the whole trip...but I recommend always asking the CM to make sure...and if you don't get the answer you like...always ask more than one CM...crazy, I know!

I would love to do FD again this year. We have done it for the last two years. It just makes our vacation more memorable, being able to see our favorite characters without waiting in a line.

No, the WDW camping/rv sites do not qualify for the free dining promo. The FW Cabins do qualify though.

None of the resorts are exempt from the free dining offer, persay. Some may have limited availability depending on how many guests booked the bounceback offer and with the free dining pin code.

If I book my vacation before they announce the free dining, can I still get free dining if I go during the time period. Looking at the time period mentioned in this thread, we will be going during when it might be/will be offered. I'm just not sure I want to wait until April to book my tickets/package.
