Hello there! :wave2:

I just got back yesterday from the Tastiest Place on Earth! :mickeyjum

My traveling party consisted of me (23), my mother (29 obviously), and my father (much older than my mother of course.) While this is my first full dining report (I did one review back around Christmas time) it is far from being our first time to the World. So come join us on our culinary adventure. We have the following stops on our tour (perhaps some more in case I forgot any.)

Casey's Corner
Aloha Isle

Citricos
Main Street Bakery
Yak & Yeti Local Foods (CS)
Margaritaville (I know it's not Disney, but it is tasty, and we're huge Parottheads!)
Tokyo Dining
Epcot Tasty Beverages and People Watching
Bistro De Paris
Prime Time Cafe
ESPN Club/Jellyrolls
Cape May Cafe
MK Snack
Gardenview Tea
Earl of Sandwich
Kona Cafe

Phew! That's a lot of food for 5 days

~~**Updated**~~
On 2/28-3/1 I headed down to "celebrate" my birthday at Disney! We have a new character added to the cast, my boyfriend. He hasn't been to Disney since the 7th grade...and he's dating me...poor boy :rotfl:

Added to the list:
Tangerine Cafe
Snacks at Epcot
Kona: Dinner
Kona: Breakfast
Wolfgang Puck Express

We totally did that on our last trip too! It was so much fun and forced us to relax and look at things while we were waiting for our ADR's.

I can't wait for the reviews!

Here we go! We got to the MK around noon, so our first stop was of course for lunch. The sole purpose of picking the MK for our first day was to get these little beauties:

DisneyTrip09_17.jpg

:cloud9: I love Corn Dog Nuggets from Casey's. They're like little gems of joy! Terrific. The only problem is that while the nuggets are fantastic, I don't know what goes on with Casey's. There can be a short line and it always takes forever to get through the line. But it's worth it, let me tell you :lovestruc
Oh, and I always see people looking for tables right outside. Here's a little tip: if you go across Main Street and down, there's a bunch of yellow tables. It's right by a smoking section, but it never bothers me because those who smoke tend to stay right by the trash can and there are usually plenty of tables available. So while it was the chillest day of the trip for us, it still was gorgeous to sit and eat...

And in case you're curious, this is me:

We also took a stroll through the candy store on our way to Casey's. So while these aren't entirely restaurant related, they're still pretty close to food porn ::yes::

After walking for a few hours, we decided to grab a snack. My Dad had a soft pretzel, my Mom had a twist Dole Whip, and I had a Pineapple Float Dole Whip. YUMM-O.

Very pineapple-y. So if you haven't tried one and you don't like pineapple, you may want something else! But if you like pineapple, then it's definitely worth it!

Next up: Citricos!

Yum!

My dd and I love Casey's but we have never had thier corn dog nuggets. In May we are going back and taking our 12 year old cousin who is corn dog crazy. This is a must stop for all of us! Plus I can still share a hot dog with dd and steal one of our cousins nuggets -- so I get the best of both worlds.

I am so happy I found this.

The dole whip float looks amazing. This is on my list of things I must try.

Can't wait for the rest!!!

Casey's is a must for us too...but we don't do the corn dog nuggets...just cannot pull ourselves away from the hot dogs!

Since I am unable to add to my food porn while working I cannot wait to read more of yours!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with planning a disney vacation around the food!!!:goodvibes That is my favorite part of Disney. :lovestruc
Can't wait to keep up with your review!!!

sounds good, I planned our last trip around places to eat as well! Loved it!;)

Jumping in with both feet! ;)

:flower3: Welcome!

I think maybe you need to order just one corn dog nugget so you can split it with everyone you're with. Just to taste their goodness :thumbsup2

We usually plan just the ADR's then the parks fall in around it. This time we planned our CS too! :rotfl:

Citricos is coming up next! I'm getting antsy :rolleyes1

So first up on our culinary journey around WDW:
DisneyTrip09_64.jpg

This trip was full of "firsts" for us. It's amazing how many times we've gone to WDW and still manage to find new things to do! We've been to all of the signature restaurants (Bistro was a first too) now, so we had to go to Citricos since we had never been there! I haven't gone to Yachtsman, but my parents have, so close enough!

Anyway...we started at the bar, Mom had a Cosmo, Dad a Diet Coke (Woo! Party!:woohoo: ) and I had a glass of Pinot Grigio. Great bartender.

Then moved to the table, where we had some bread:
DisneyTrip09_59.jpg

And my parents laughed at me for taking pictures of the bread...oh well. Here's the menu we perused:
DisneyTrip09_58.jpg

My Mom and I had the same dinner pretty much. We each started with the Goat Cheese Truffles:
DisneyTrip09_60.jpg

Goat Cheese Truffles - Tomato, Cracked Pepper, and Sesame "Truffles" with Arugula, Frisee, Nueske Applewood Smoked Bacon, and Peaches
Sesame one was my favorite :cloud9:

My Dad started with Arancini Crispy Risotto - Italian Sausage, Quaitro Formaggi, and White Truffle Aioli. I tried a bite and it was really really good.

My Mom and I each had the Lamb Chops:
DisneyTrip09_62.jpg

The description of this one isn't on All Ears, but it was 2 Lamb Chops, 1 Scallop, on a risotto. Tasty. First time I had lamp chops.

I think my Dad had the filet. Both of my parents had a glass of wine with their meals. It was the one that was the "suggested" wine. I stuck with my Pinot Grigio. They both liked the pairing.

Onto DESSERT! (The best part really...)
Menu:
DisneyTrip09_63.jpg

The desserts here were unbelievably beautiful. I had the tropical fruit creme brulee.
DisneyTrip09_65.jpg

My Dad had the lemon cheesecake. He's a cheesecake fiend.
DisneyTrip09_66.jpg

My Mom had a spoon.

So here's what I think: The food was great. Only thing is that their medium rare (on the lamb) was more like medium and their medium (on my Dad's dish) was more like medium well. But everything was so tender it was great.

The service was rather slow. What was weird was that it was fine during the meal until we got to the dessert and then it really dropped off. And we like to relax during a meal, so we appreciate slowER service. But when we're done and looking around for the check, it gets annoying. Had to ask for the check. Which is standard in a French restaurant, but it wasn't a French restaurant.

So those were our only two complaints. Not too shabby. I think if you want a nice meal at the GF but don't want to spend the prices at V&A, I would definitely chose Citricos over Narcoosees.

One other thing: my parents loved walking out of the restaurant and hearing the band. They were playing "Moonlight Serenade" which is one of my Mom's favorite songs...
DisneyTrip09_67.jpg

Enjoying your reviews and pictures! :goodvibes

I've found, and heard the same from others, that Disney wait staff often does that disappearing act around dessert time, both before and after. Not so bad when lingering over coffee, but if lingering over the last dregs of a Diet Coke and have already been in the restaurant a couple of hours, one tends to wonder where they disappeared to!

That's a great photo of your parents listening to the band, so nice they were playing a favorite song of your mother's at that time.

You have a great user name and avatar too....Figment and Dreamfinder are favorites of mine! Looking forward to the rest of your reviews.

Really enjoying your reviews so far. I love citricos and that lemon cheesecake is so pretty!
Looking forward to more.

Oh WOW, you've got me really excited about Citrico's! We've been to Narcoossee's and enjoyed it but we weren't really wowed by it.

AAWWW, I really like the picture of what I assume are your parents. So cute.
