Has anyone had their reception/Escape dinner in the Napa Room

I would love to see it all set up and decorated...

If you could give me ideas of the menu, time, and if you had a great view of Wishes I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!!!

Hello,

I had my rehearsal dinner in the Napa Room and we had a perfect view of Wishes. The event started around 7:30 and Wishes that night was at 8. They turned out the lights in the room and piped in the sound from the show, so it was a great surprise and treat for all the guests.

We had the room booked from 6 to 10 pm. We were there from around 7:15 until 10.

We didn't decorate the room since it was just the rehearsal dinner, so I wasn't concerned about centerpieces or anything, but the restaurant put centerpiece bowls of fruit in the middle of each table which looked really nice and fit well with the fresh California food theme (and the fruits were really good cuz my friends and I ate them later, lol).

For the menu, we had flatbreads first with different toppings--some were truffle oil andmushroom, some were with chicken, some were with tomato. Really good and pretty filling.

Then we had a Wine Country Salad with Marinated Dried Tomatoes, Olives, Sourdough Croutons, and Cabernet-Herb Vinaigrette.

The dinner course consisted of 3 different entrees:

1.) Slow-roasted Atlantic Salmon with Farro Wheat Risotto and Crustacean Sauce

2.) Sliced Oak-grilled Beef Tenderloin with Roasted Fingerling Potatoes,
Caramelized Onions, and Red Wine Butter Sauce

3.)Oak-fired Chicken Breast with Semolina Gnocchi,
Wilted Arugula, an Sauce Vierge

The dinner course was brought out family style on large platters to each table so everyone was able to have some of each type.

Dessert was Banana Bread Pudding with “Drunken” Butterscotch, Toffee Bits
and Banana “Bisque.

The children had veggies and dip for their first course. Then they pizza, and for dessert they had a rice krispy plate.

There was an appetizer course and a sorbet course as well but we cut those out to shorten the meal and to cut cost a bit (it was the night before the wedding, we didn't want to have a ton of food or a neverending event).

Good luck!

Thank you so much, the menu sounds great. Where drinks included in your price?

Ohh - I didn't know they did that! Was there an extra cost for the music, or did you just have to ask? That sounds like a great idea!

im glad you asked this i really want CG for our Escape wedding reception

We had our Welcome dinner in the Napa room; we had a guest list of 45 so it was the perfect size. We had the room from 6pm-10 pm and were there the whole time. The view of Wishes was spectacular: the CG timed our meals so that we had a break before the entrees and everyone went outside to see Wishes. We didn't do any special decorating beyond the centerpieces which our florist created (square vases with hydrangeas and a black ribbon around the vase). The food was spectacular and we couldn't have kicked off our wedding festivities in any better way: all our guests had a great time, they raved about the food, and the fireworks. We were beyond pleased!

Our menu (98$/adult):
Brick oven flatbreads
Goat cheese ravioli with sundried tomato
Tuna tartar with cucumber, sesame, and soy dressing
Sorbet (we had the break after the sorbet course)

Entrees were family style:
Pan seared snapper with rice + coconut curry sauce
Sliced oak grilled beef with with potatoes/onions and teriyaki sauce
Oak fired chicken breast with gnocchi + arugula

Dessert was Valrhona cake with ice cream.

We went with the premium bar package for the welcome dinner for 4 hours (41$/adult, 20$/underage guest). Also, there was a separate kids menu (22$/kid - cheese plate, mickey mac & cheese, rice krispie sushi) which our younger guests just loved.

Here are some pics (hopefully the links work):

We had our reception there! It was sooo beautiful! The view is incrediable. We had the spring rolls but I am a vegetarian so they were not pork :) We also had the Goat Cheese Ravioli which was the most amazing thing I have ever eatten. The meat eatters got chicken and the vegetarians had squash ravioli which was VERY good The kids got salad and mac and cheese! For desert they served Creme brule and myself and the kids got Rice Crispy treat sushi! It was so cute! If you have any more than 45 or 50 people it is WAY too crowded so just keep that in mind :) We had open bar and the bartender and the wait staff were amazing...they were serving my husband and I in a room off the hallway while I was being bustled!!
