For those of you that have been there done that, which did you find were the best excursions that you enjoyed and for what reasons?

Me and dh, ds (15), ds (12), ds (8) and dd (7) and
our friend, with her ds (15), ds (12) ;)

We have gone to Chankanaab for the dolphin encounter. The park is very clean and nice and the encounter was great fun. We booked it again for our next cruise.

We did the stingray excursion in Grand Caymans. Very cheap and a great, fun experience!! There are a few of them but this one had a catamaran and even though they took pics they didn't push them on you to buy them....they didn't even ask me to come look at them and I almost forgot,lol.

We did the dolphin thing, just the standing on the edge petting, kissing them. It was worth it once but I'd never spend that kind of money for that again. Plus the taxi drivers are real jerks and do not want to take you there with the promise that the park will pay them (taxi is incl. in the price), then after they do they complain they didn't get enough!!

In Mexico take a cab to Playa Mia beach, they have great water toys like a floating ice berg and a water trampoline great fun for your age group( my Daughter loves it at 14 y/o) so do I at 47. Also you will not spend an arm and a leg to have a good time:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We loved the turtle farm in Grand Cayman. WOW just the size of sea turtles :scared1:

On the Grand Cayman Tour you just stop at the turtle farm. However, there is now an entire park associated with the turtle farm that you can go to separately.

Do you think this is something that can fill up a portion of the day? My DD is a huge animal fan and I want to plan something that she will enjoy but not be too incredibly bored.
Of course I probably should have checked out your link first prior to posting. :rolleyes1 Any comments/suggestions are greatly appreciated. I love the Dis. So much knowledge in one space.

We have booked the Boatswains excursion for our upcoming trip. Besides the turtle farm, they have an aviary, a predator tank with shark feedings and iguanas. There is also a snorkeling lagoon and a freshwater pool.

Is the encounter the one that little kids can do? I think that's the one we'll do with our 5 year olds.

We booked with DCL at the 75 day mark. You hug, kiss, shake fins and interact with the dolphin while standing on a platform in the water. My DD was 7 at the time and loved it. This year we booked the Swim Adventure through Dolphin Discovery directly and get to go out in the water with the dolphin for a dorsel pull and belly ride.

:banana: My kids are going to LOVE that. :banana:

we did the stingray city excursion as well, we booked it ourselves thru chip whitney @ http://stingraysailing.com/index.html

we had a fablous time, our dd's 11 and 7 were amazed, the nice part is with chip whitney you only have up to 20 or 25 people on board and it's very comfortable, we met him @ the dock @ 0800 and we were back at the ship by 130, perfect amount of time in the water with the stingrays and snorkeling

AAAAAA+++++++++++++++++++ trip all the way
