Can I put my credit card down for my card, but put a cash limit on my DD's card?
(I am hoping I can put a limit on hers so she can't go crazy buying stuff!!)

Nope, sorry but each traveller can either have charging privledges or not. There can be no limit established on a specific card. The only limit is if you put cash on your account for the whole cabin instead of a credit card. Then you can only spend the amount of cash that is on your account.

I found so many KTW cards just laying around the deck that I wouldn't allow any of my kids to have charge privileges. I didn't see the cast members looking for other ids when kids were charging souveniers at Mickey Mates and there were no cast members around at the video arcade when you went to load up a video card. Maybe most of us are honest, but an extra 40 bucks that isn't yours sure could take some fun outta a vacation.

I turned in at least 5 cards to the bartenders or cast members at the deck 9 eateries.

I'm going again in July and my 12 and 13 year olds will NOT have charging privileges. It doesn't mean that they can't get souveniiers or play video games, but we will charge on my card and they will pay me!

You can go to guest services and get a print out of your daily charges. Each card has a separate total so you can see how much has been spent.

You just have to decide based on what is best for you and your kids. 3 cruises here, no restrictions on my kids charging, kids were 11 & 15, 12 & 16, and 14 & 18 on those cruises, and my son is the only one to charge anything at all, and that was $5 to have his tie dry cleaned on the Magic!!!

Ditto.
Even though I know my eldest would not charge if not allowed- I saw tons of cards everywhere and she even lost her card once (had to replace it) AND at one point I found out she was giving her card to others to "hold" for her if she didn't have pockets (and kept taking off her lanyard in the room- didn't want to wear it I guess) and at that point (when I found out) the card was passed to someone else/etc. -we had to find out "who" at it one evening to retrieve it! That would have been NOT COOL if she'd had charging privileges on that card.

And I have a DD who turned 9 on our last cruise. We gave her charging privileges. She knew enough not to lose the card, kept it in her lanyard when out and about and didn't abuse it. I believe it all depends on the child.

If you're comfortable with them having charging privileges then go ahead. If not, then make sure you tell GS so that its removed.
We give her charging privileges at WDW and usually give her a limit on what to spend. She's very good and adds up her receipts every night to see how much money she has left to spend. I have to tell you that it really cut back on the amount of junky souveniers that come home.
