you now have to get your picture taken after checking in. they stamp your boarding pass with date and you then go to a line where they have 6 places set up to get your picture taken. when you board they take your boarding pass. when getting off now they swipe your key card, only one per room and verify number of people getting off. At customs they didnt even look at passport

when you say the swipe your key card getting off only one per room, does that mean the whole room has to get off together, because my faily usually spilts up and goes different times off at Castaway Cay so was just wondering. I woouldn't think that would matter though

Yep...new procedure....I posted about this when I got back from my 1/17/09 cruise on the Magic. Was told ours was the first Magic cruise to get pics taken but the Wonder had already done 2 cruises with the new pics. On our cruise they were still swiping everyone in each group's card when you left the ship.

I was also told that the next step is to have your photo right on your KTTW card....that is in the works. I have seen that on other cruiselines.

Do you know if your pic shows up on the register screens when you are purchasing items onboard....just wondering. It would be a good security measure!!

I am beyond confused. Lol.

Is it individual photos or like the embarkation photo, but they are doing it immediately following check-in to speed up the embarkation process?

What if not all members are present at check-in?

If I understand correctly, you do the photos after you go through the Mickey Ears before the embarkation photo which is a totally separate thing.

I was told that it was for security reasons, purchasing, boarding, etc. He showed me when he swiped my card, my photo came up automatically. Cool security proceedure! If only credit card companies could get a clue! I don't like having your photo on the card as someone could get it and make themselves up to look like you! paranoid, I know! Leave it to Disney to look out for us!
