Beginning Monday, Feb. 9, the Walt Disney World® Resort "Buy Four, Get Three Free" offer will feature travel dates through Aug. 15, 2009.:cool1:

they just released a statement that last qtr. profits were down 32%; hurting they are.

Well I would not mind going in aug I liked going in aug. Then it will give me a little more time to pay my trip off.

I am sure they are hurting.

It wouldn't surprise me that this promotion willl end in August as stated and then lead onto free dining.

Is this promotion a definite??? Also, does it mean that I can book through the 15th and check out on the 16th??? If so these are our dates. I can always change it by a day....

I am sooo excited. Now to decide if I should splurge or not?

Was just reading Market Watch, co. profits are down (like 35%) - tv & dvd divisions hit esp. hard, theme park attendance down, not as much, room bookings for 2nd and 3rd quarter running slightly ahead of '07, which disney exec. Staggs attributed to the 4/3 promotion and said they were extending the travel window to August 15 effective next mon..

This package includes park tickets correct? I was thinking about getting AP's because we are going in 10 days in August and again in December for 8 days. Do you think the 4/3 deal is better than buying AP's?

This would be fabulous. If I modified my current reservation for 8 nights at POFQ, I would be able to save at least $150. Or, do I use this as my one, and probably only, opportunity to upgrade to a deluxe for around $100-150 more. decisions, decisions......Just waiting for an official announcement

I'm pretty sure you can use the value of the 7 day tickets towards the purchase of an AP...that way you get the best of both worlds. I'd call and ask if I were you.

OMG!!! Seriously??? That would be so awesome!!!!!!!!!! I've never gotten a 'deal' before, I'm about to do cartwheels around the house now, LOL!!!

We already have our flights....and are staying 6 nights. We could buy 4 get 2 free, right?? (I wonder if it's worth it to pay the change fee for the airlines??)

from reading on the boards, to get the best value for the tickets in the upgrade, people have said you need to use the tickets for a day first.

Of course if you use a water park and more option you can only upgrade to the prem AP.

still flipping out here.... :rotfl2:

what about dining?? Would we pay for dining for 4 nights and the other 3 are free or would we pay for the extra 3 nights??
(already checked for the airline change fee....it's $400 for all of us. If I can either save money, or break even, I'm in!)

ETA: never mind...I found all my answers on mousesavers!

See THIS way, way off topic thread. It will tell you exactly how to use the 4/3 tickets to get APs at a savings of ~$105 on the APs.

Has anyone heard if any type of gift card will be offered with the extension?

Melissa

That extends it right into the beginning of value season! I still don't think I'll bite until next year though. I want to see the Harry Potter park at Universal in 2010 and it's doubtful I can go twice in that much time.

can you split your stay at 2 resorts?

I wouldn't think so. How would they determine which days are free? I'd love to pay for four days at POP, then get three days at the Grand Floridian for free.:rotfl2: Just teasing, but again I wouldn't think so.
