I hope this is ok to post - can someone please let me know if it isn't?

I wanted opinions on our Wedding Website. It's through Wedding Window and I thought it was really easy to use.

I want to send a email this weekend through Wedding Window to all of our guests announcing our site but I wanted some feedback & Opinions first.

Also, if you notice any proofreading errors just let me know.

Here it is www.matthewandjaclyn.com

Check it out and let me know what you think!:scratchin

If my wedding wasn't only 6 weeks away I would pay you to build a website for me! That is really REALLY nice, and has all the details a guest would ever need! Thank you for sharing!!!!!!!!!!

(p.s. I'm a Living Seas Wedding too, let me know if you have any questions!)

It's amazing! I have been looking to make a wedding website but it's a little intimidating. How did you create it?

BEAUTIFUL site

If your lucky, there's might even a chance you may see Crush, Squirt, and the rest of the Sea-Turtles.

If YOU'RE lucky

The website looks great!

Under the calendar of events Polynesian is spelled wrong under tux fitting and rehearsal dinner.

Thank you for picking those mistakes up! I have looked at the site over & over again and still missed them.

The site was super easy to do, just time consuming because I wanted to much on there. You can do as little or as much as you want. It's through Wedding Window, I found it from another Bride on here, Camara. I just paid to have our own domain name because it's just easier to tell people about it. It's really easy to use. You have some pages to start with that have special features like Reception - Music Selection, Directions- Print option, and so on. Then you custom create pages depending on the info you need to share

My only suggestion and a mistake I made in the beginning was a started to rename pages, like 'Reception' for example into 'Magic Kingdom' but the Reception page has a music request section already embedded into and it's not an option you can add to a Custom page.

It took me awhile because I wanted to match up pictures depending on the page. Plus I added so many custom pages. But you can do fewer pages and they have so many different designs that you customize.

Thank you for your complements!

Your Bride Groom page is a bit confusing. Your entry is in the 3rd person, and Matt's starts that way, however he lapses into the 1st person. It makes it kind of disjointed. :confused3

On the ceremony page, I don't think Beach is capitalized as it isn't a proper noun.

The next blurb down, capitalize the P in Wedding Pavilion as it is proper!

On the Event Calendar this is what you have for tux fitting

The Tux Fitting begin at 8:00 AM and will be held at the Polynesain Resort in the Parents of the Bride, Robert & Julie Scarborough's hotel room.

I would change it to

"The tux fitting will begin at 8am in the hotel room of the parents of the bride, Robert & Julie Scarborough. They will be staying at the Polynesian Resort."

And then say who needs to attend this fitting.

I would change the preceded by Cocktails to preceded by a Cocktail Hour, which will clarify how much time they will be without a beautiful couple! :goodvibes

In some places you use Aug and then you use August. Personally I think it looks better if you do August.

Your link for your Disney wedding website is not working.

Magic Kingdom Favorite Attractions it is Monsters Inc. not Monster's Inc

Replace the comma with a "and" between August and September on the same page. (and Hollywood Studios)

Wedding Link isn't working on the Discounts webpage either.
Ditto on the Favorite Websites (actually most of the links on the favorite websites aren't working)

Ana of Beaute Speciale last name is Rivera, you have it mispelled on the vendor page.

That's what I saw. HTH!

Yea, that's what happens when you let the guy write it himself! I changed both to read as first person

On the ceremony page, I don't think Beach is capitalized as it isn't a proper noun.

I agree with you that is correct grammer, but since it's our location, I decided to go against what's correct and have it capital

Got it!

Got it, I'm not putting that on there until we are sure who are groomsmen will be, there's drama there that i'll tell you about another day:faint:

I agree but they only give you so much room and unfortunately Cocktail doesn't fit here.

I think I caught them all and changed them, and all the Septembers too.

Your link for your Disney wedding website is not working.

Took forever, but I got it fixed

After much frustration, I believe I got all the links working now

Thank you so much for all of your help! I feel like I owe you a consulting fee after all that!:flower3:

You're site is amazing. I have a feeling I may be asking your advice later on since I may need to build one myself. I love Disney and DF loves Disney, but practically every person on our guest list is either a Disney virgin or hasn't been in over 20 years :faint:

Ask away! I ask for help and advice from so many people on here, I'd love to return the favor to other brides:flower3:

You're welcome. One of my other jobs in the real world is a "Writing Tutor", so I deal with this stuff all day. :)

Even so, I'm sure I'll manage to make a grammatical mess out of my website. We're using the same service - Wedding Window. I'm getting out of shoveling this weekend because my DF is sick of hearing me complain how I don't have enough time to get the site up and running. So it should be done this weekend as I stay nice and warm inside :rotfl2:

I'll post when I get it done. :thumbsup2

Good Luck!:shamrock: It took me a really long time to get it all together! I can't wait to see it when it's finished

The website is fabulous. I found a couple of errors, below.

Under Proposal, "Pixiedust" is misspelled. And it should say that the glass slipper HAD a special message. And chocolate mouse should be spelled "mousse".

Under Reception, is it Living Seas Salon or Saloon? You have it both ways. And this should say "If you're lucky, there's a chance you may see Crush, Squirt, and the rest of the Sea-Turtles."

Under Calendar, Tux Fitting at the Polynesian

Under Rehearsal Dinner, All-you-care-to-enjoy family style feast served right at your table. The large room overlooks the Seven Seas Lagoon, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and the pool.

Under Honeymoon, As part of our Wedding Package, we receive one complimentary night at any Disney Resort.

I added weather to our website in the form of a Widget! It's from weatherchannel.com and it shows the current weather in Orlando and the current chance of rain.

Also added cool widgets under Calendar of Events, Discounts, and Recommended websites.

I looove the site!! You are so talented!! Do you take requests?!?

One thing that confuses me a bit, is the quote from mermaid in the intro/at the top.

It goes "they/they/they" and then "you and me" and then "I"

I know the song went "up where they" but I feel like you might need to make it "we" or just leave it as the actual lyrics, as your reception is under the sea. :)

Also, in bride and groom:

"I am an avid Disney fan and is crazy about Harry Potter" you could either take 'is' out or change it to 'am'

Hee - just found the little fish! How cute! If they get too fat its my fault!!

I still can't get over how great this is...if you don't mind me asking, did you pay to make this site? And what did you use to make it? THANKS!

wedding window is great!!! I got it about a year ago...but we have had to push back our wedding unfortunately :( But the site is great!!!

Thank you for catching those. After much debating, I decided to the lyrics the same. But I did make the corrctions on the about the bride section.

I just cheked on the fish, We both are gonna make them fat!:rotfl2: The red one won't come near me now.

I found this site from another DISer, Camera. She did a different design with Wedding Window. I paid $88 for the basic site, and then paid $15 for the site domain name of just our names, instead of www.weddingwindow.matthewandjaclyn.com - I thought this would be too confusing. I sent out a announcement yesterday to all my guests using their E-save the dates they have, I just changed all the wording. I'll post the file in my PJ.

Creating & designing the site was so easy! It was getting all the information and how to organize it is the hard part!

If you go to the bottom link on my website, it will take you to Wedding Window main site.

In the end, I think it will be well worth it because instead of several mailings of newsletters, I can continually update the site and just send out emails.
