What are some of the lesser popular but still good restaurants? Counterservice? Tableservice? What are your thoughts?

tokyo dining. i always hear people raving about the other japan restaurant in epcot, but i recommend trying out tokyo dining.

GFC, this place is wonderful and I dont hear much about it

I agree with the Grand Floridian Cafe - haven't been disappointed there yet. Along with that Gasperilla's the counter service at the GF was very good as well - the food is made fresh to order (sandwiches, burgers, salads, pizza's) and we were happy with our choices and ate there several times during our stay.

another vote for GFC, also Columbia Harbour House at MK

Definitely GF Cafe & Kona Cafe (at the Poly). Two of the most understated dining treasurers at WDW!

:) I have a special fondness for Cosmic Ray's at Magic Kingdom. I get the rotisserie chicken and sit and listen to Sunny Eclipse! :)

I second Spoodles. We've eaten there the last two trips and it was wonderful. Not only was the food and service really good, the restaurant is gorgeous and the tables aren't right on top of each other. I really like that quality in a restaurant. It's understandable why Disney does it, maximizing tabletops is in their best financial interest but some places are ridiculous...*cough*Le Cellier*cough*...:lmao:

I agree with GFC. We've had both lunch and dinner there. The Cobb Salads that we had for lunch there in December were better than the Brown Derby.
