we wont have to cancel our trip, as we didnt get the house we wanted

Im devastated

they wouldnt budge on price. and wanted to give us 20k less than we paid for ours.

I really dont know what to say

Trouble is the housing market has slowed down alomst gone backwards, so anyone who has purchased a house in the past few years will find it is worth alot less than they paid for it. I am sure things will change and as said you can now go on holiday when you want to.

Sorry to hear that, Anna. We are trying to sell our house at the moment too, babies take up so much room! We thought we had it a couple of weeks ago - we had an offer on ours which we accepted but the buyer dropped out as they found a cheaper property in a different area. We were gutted as we have found the house we want.

So sorry to hear about the house but like others have said something better will come along. I fell in love with 2 before we got this one and each house falling through was agony.

Ended up getting a small bungalow (not on MY checklist!) on a large plot which my husband had the vision to see extended and now 12 years and 3 major extensions later I would never leave.

When the first 2 house fell through people told me "things happen for a reason" and at the time I could have throttled them but now I take back those thoughts as they were so right.
