Booking "blind" without May hours?

I'm just curious how many of you are going to start making your May PS's tomorrow if the hours and EMH's aren't released yet? They should have posted hours 10 days ago (for the 90 +10 people) to avoid a bunch of re-scheduling!

What do you think? Are you going to make ressies anyway?

we arrive april 29 and are there through may 6th.

i made all my adrs yesterday. so, no i am not waiting.

we get park hoppers though and usually take a break since we have small kiddos so we usually go from our hotel to dinner so no issue on what park, etc.

I made mine already for 4/28-5/5. I figured I'd rather have something on the books and can always change. We have a lot of meals planned outside the parks so we are pretty flexible on what goes on what day.

IIRC, the EMHs seem to be on consistent days of the week during certain times of year. Maybe you can look at April and try to take an educated guess for May?

I agree though that it is a total pain that we are only three months out and still no park hours! Maybe by Feb 1?

That's got to be hard to do. Did u call and ask when they are coming out ?

I made all my ADR's today blindly for our 4/30-5/3 trip. I didn't want to take any chances of not getting what we wanted if we waited for hours. I tried to guestimate from April's hours. We're pretty flexible too with our park touring though...2 adult ladies loose on the World!

I called today and was able to make my two character meal ressies.

I wanted to make late dinner ressies at some of the parks for other days so the CSR told me to call back on feb 2nd which will be my exact 90 day out time. She said that is when the park hours will be up.

Last Monday I booked all my ressies for Apr 26th - May 3. I booked blind for the last few days as I have no idea what park hours will be and when parades and Fantasmic will be shown. I rejigged my days so that we went to DHS on the last posted Fantasmic day in April and booked a Brown Derby Fantasmic package. That is the only thing I am questioning because I keep reading that DHS is crazy busy when Fantasmic is showing.
In all I am very happy with my ressies and got pretty much everything I wanted at the times I wanted.

I booked ADRs on Monday for April 26 to May 6. I just guessed at the May schedule and plan on keeping my ressies. Hopefully I'll have been closeon the hours.

Is there anywhere that shows historically what the hours are for a certain month? I'm wondering if May 2009 hours would be similar to May 2008 hours and if it is even possible to find out what the hours were from last year.

I think the March-May times are a bit tricky b/c they run over Easter which is a different time each year. They tend to have later hours around the break weeks. So I think you might be better off looking at your week in relation to Easter - Easter week, a week after Easter, etc rather than just by calendar dates. That being said, I don't know where you can view historical hours.

I'm curious if when you call to make your ADRs you can kind of fish around for what the hours will be. Meaning, asking them what's the absolute latest ADR is for such and such day. It might be more time consuming, though.

Aren't the MK hours the only real question mark? You can always bet they are open later on Friday's and Saturday's - a great time to schedule dinners at the monorail resorts afterward if you like to dine late. EPCOT closes at 9:00, AK at 5 or 6 and HS varies a little, too, but usually 8 or 9 PM. Of course, there are EMHs to consider. :(

I am making mine whether they are out or not and change them as necessary. :)

They've posted hours for travel folks to use on their websites, I believe. Hours on the WDW site should be up soon.

Does anyone know why Wishes isn't going to be happening most of the month of May? I really was hoping to see it, but I"m sure everything else will do. :confused3

Just a word of warning -- we're going in April and the hours changed recently. They were posted a while ago and I got all my ADRs, but then the park hours changed and I've had to revise some of them. For us, MK is opening up an hour later each day, and AK is open an hour earlier and is closing an hour earlier each day. Luckily, I was able to have everything moved.

So, realize that even if the May hours are posted on the official website, they aren't necessarily set. It's a good idea to check a month or two later just in case it could change your plans.

Have a great trip!:)
