I just purchased annual disney passes for me and my family. We live close to Orlando (about 60 miles). I wanted to stay down there a few nights so we can take in all the parks. My question is about parking and staying at the resort. If we stay three nights and go to one park each day (4 days) i dont know if I can park my car and ride bus first day before check in (save on parking) and then leave my car parked at the resort the last day and then just drive home or do i have to park in the main parking lot the first and last day. If anyone has tried this or done this any info would be apprecated.

Saving on parkingwould be an incentive for me to stay at disney resort instead of offsite.

Welcome to the DIS.
You don't have to pay for parking with an AP. Just show them the AP at the booth and they will wave you through. If you are staying at a Disney resort, you can leave your car parked at the resort the day you check out until you are ready to leave. Bell services will also store your luggage if you don't want to leave it in the car.

Nice to hear that parking is free, when you have your annual pass.

Welcome to DISboards. Yes you don't have to pay for parking your car in the resort if you have an AP. Just show it to them. Enjoy your stay.

Have a nice and safe trip coming. :)

Everyone, of course is right about the APs. But I must say that for one trip, you might want to stay on site. There's nothing like being completely immersed in Disney Magic for a week.

ABSOLUTELY!!!! Not to mention taking advantage of Disney's transportation!

Out of curiosity, how much do they charge to park now? When we went in 2003, it was 6 a day. When we went the first time in 2005 it was 7 and then the second time in 2005 it was 10. We are staying on site, so I we'll be using Disney Transportation, I am just wondering. lol!!

:) I believe it is now $12 a day. I know a Disser will correct me if I am wrong.
