Hi! New to this board with ??s

Hello,

I am a frequent poster to the Disney side of the boards but am new to the Universal Portion.

I am planning our June vacation with plans to visit Disney for 5 days. Our son is getting to the age 5 ( 6 in August) where he has interest in the Superheros, Scooby and the like so I was thinking of maybe a 1 day/2 park pass for Universal for Sunday of our trip. I have a few questions:

1) How busy are Sunday's in the parks (this will be May 31st)?
2) What rides have baby swap?
3) Do any of the coasters have seats that are accessible for guest of bigger than average size (pooh-sized)? We went to US and IOA several years ago and I had a horribly embarrasing experience on DD and ROTM, I was able to ride but not w/o humiliation.

Most likely we won't do many coasters as we will focus on rides we can do as a family but I would love to ride ROTM.

The website calendar has the epp at a lower cost. this would be an indicator of a lower crowd day. check back on that web section a few weeks prior to your trip to gauge it better.
weekends tend to have more crowds than the weekdays.


2) What rides have baby swap? I know MIB and quite a few more have the baby swap system. my mind is blank now but if you go to the universal website and look at the interactive map, you will find that information there.

there are 4 rides that have stationary seats for rides that littles could not do..

there are a few threads that are in the forum that have information on the seats with the belt extenders for those with more girth.
the Hulk has 2 rows for guests that need extra space for the ride.

if i have time, i'll try to pull those links up.
Metro West has pictures of the trial seats in front of the rides for those that need more room.

this is on the uo website for families with children:


There is no admission fee for children under 3 years of age. You’ll find a number of unique children’s play areas in both theme parks, including If I Ran the Zoo, Me Ship the Olive and Camp Jurassic in Islands of Adventure, and Fievel’s Playland and Curious George Goes to Town in Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone at Universal Studios.

Some of these attractions include fountains and water play, and your children may get quite wet. Bringing bathing suites and/or a change of clothing is a good idea. If you don’t want to carry them around all day, there are rental lockers throughout the theme parks.

Be sure you pick a meeting place to gather at if your children become lost or separated from you (Guest Services at the front of the parks is a good place), and make sure they know how to get there.
Your children should also be carrying contact information including a name and phone number should they become lost in the park.


If your kids are too small or unwilling to go on a particular ride you want to experience, you can take advantage of our “child swap” program. Each ride and attraction has a child swap area where one member of your party can wait with the little ones while the rest of your party rides. Then as soon as they get off the ride, they can swap places and stay with the kids while the adults who sat out get their opportunity to enjoy the ride.


one note about the child swap. the children that rode the first time with a parent while the other parent sat out, can re ride again after the swap.
