Can I put up with tape or something else?? I'm really wanting to do the magnets but our schedule until then is sooo crazy!! :laundy: Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks to everyone for the awesome pics on the thread with the magnet photos. There are some awesome pics on there! You guys rock!! :cool1:

They do not want you using tape as the room steward has to get the tape off not to mention the tape sometimes takes off the paint.

DCL has requested that no tape or adhesives be used to put up door signs. Magnets are the only allowable way to decorate your door.

There are a couple of threads dedicated to door magnets or you can go to the DISign board and ask for personalized magnets that you can print on magnetic paper.

As an alternative, get a roll of magnets from a craft store like JoAnn's, Hobby Lobby, or Michaels. Cut into pieces and apply to the back of your signs. You could also slip them in a page protector and hold it up with a magnet on the back or on top of it.

I would think Plasti-Tak would be acceptable, too, because it's not a sticky adhesive, does not leave a residue, and easily peels off of paper, wood, walls, and metal (your door)...and it's reusable!

okay great! Thanks for the good ideas!

I'm so excited to decorate my door! My hubby thinks I am such a goober since we don't have kids, and I am making all this stuff to decorate the door!

Its good to be a kids at heart! All for the love of Disney of course!

Wow! I'm glad I saw this post. It is my son's birthday the first day of the cruise and I planned to tape a banner above the door. (I do not want to spend $40 for the birthday package when I can buy it all at the dollar store for $3). I'll look for the magnets and try to come up with something creative. any sugestions?

For DD's birthday I used big paper clips to secure the banner above our door to the metal strip where the wall and ceiling meet. It was very easy to just snap the clips to the metal strip and it was also very easy to take down and didn't leave any mess.

Lisa what a great idea!

Mini Sorcerers mom-Check out all the treads about the magnets for the door. I've been addicted over the last week to reading these and getting really neat ideas! Hope your son has a great birthday onboard!

NO TAPE!!!!!MAGNETS ONLY!!!!

TAPE RUINS THE FINISH OF THE DOORS!!! ANYWHERE YOU WOULD USE TAPE, USE SMALL MAGNETS.....THEY WORK GREAT!!!!!

NO TAPE OR STICKIES as others have said!!!!

For my 1st cruise in 2006, my door decorations were fairly simple. I used Microsoft Word and Disney Clip Art found on the Internet. I printed out my signs on photo paper I bought a Wal-Mart & laminated them. I used the roll magnets I bought at Wal-Mart and presto! I had great decorations!
Not too hard and not too time consuming to make.

Good Luck
