Introducing Amy to "Walt's World" *Updated twice 1/21 Last installments*

Love the updates! I need to see all these warm weather pictures in our nearly below zero temps..ugh. I'm glad that Bill enjoyed my compliment! :) How was Le Cellier? We are going there next month for lunch. The food looks really good. :goodvibes

I can't wait to hear more!

We really enjoyed LeCellier, I am hoping to get reservations for it for our June trip.

Wonderful updates Tracy! You got some really great character shots and sweet interaction. I love the pic of Tigger in the window and of Alice and Bill.

Le Cellier looks great! I would love to try it one day.

The parade characters were great too - some more "rare" ones in that one, it seems.

Sounds like a wonderful day! :goodvibes

Sara

Thank you. It was a fantastic day.

Yes, I'd definitely call that a cheesecake shot! :goodvibes

Hey, just because a guy's married doesn't mean he can't appreciate the finer things in life.

:rotfl2:

Great pictures - sounds like a fun day! I've been dreaming of Epcot lately - I think that's what I'm most looking forward to this time. :lovestruc

I'm sad that your last day is coming up. :sad2:

I really love Epcot, it is so beautiful.

The food from Le Cellier looks amazing. I am really proud of you Tracey that you stuck to your healthy eating (mostly;) ) during your trip. Your commitment is admirable.:) :woohoo:

Pooh, Alice and Tigger being so kind to Bill is a testament to Disney's ability to bring magic into a person's life....A thumb's up to those CMs:thumbsup2

Hi Jordan!! The CM's were fantastic this trip. We really liked Skipper Tim on the Jungle Cruise, we saw him later the same day and he stopped to talk to us. He didn't have to, but he did, a really nice guy.:thumbsup2

Great updates Tracy! I've never seen Stitch naked before!LOL! He looked kind of funny. I would have been panicing on the monorail if no one had come to help. Good thing you knew what to do. Did you like Le Cellier? We really liked it, but I know some people don't. I'm sad for your report to be over, but glad to know there will be more!:thumbsup2

Hi Monica!! I was in a panic when I didn't see a monorail CM, but I knew I had to calm down, we were NOT missing that ADR. Bill loved LeCellier, I really enjoyed it too.

Hi Tracy :goodvibes

I'll be back tomorrow to read through your TR, but wanted to stop by and say hey. I just saw your two pictures on the first page and you look great! :thumbsup2

Hi Carissa, thanks for saying that.

Wonderful update Tracy. I love all the character pictures. Did you enjoy your food at Le Cellier? I have always wanted to try it but I have a cheeseburger and fries kind of husband.

Thank you. We enjoyed it a lot, we hope to get an ADR for it in June and December.

Hi i have been reading your PTR and your TR and so far it is wonderful. Never been to Disney World before :sad2: . But i am planning a trip to Disney World this year from August 8th to 15th (hopping the dates stay the same). But i am waiting to hear the rest of your TR....

Hellow and Welcome!! I hope you get to go to WDW there is nothing like it.

Sorry just had to correct you, if you were in England you sat on the Path or the Kerb not the sidewalk ;) :rotfl2:

How weird Amy didn't introduce you to her brother???? How sweet was the interaction from Pooh and Tigger, so cute :goodvibes

Thanks Jo, I didn't think about it being called something else :rotfl:. I thought that was weird of her not to introduce us either :confused3 . That was one of the best character meetings we have ever had.

Oct. 26th: Magic Kingdom Day 3

Well the last look at the castle for Amy, we will see it 16 days after this. I still can’t believe it even though I am typing it. We seriously have no impulse control. This is why I fought getting AP’s in the first place, but I digress. We are talking about the October trip, not the November one.

Goals for this day:

Haunted Mansion

It’s A Small World

Philharmagic

Snow White

Winnie the Pooh

Mickey and Minnie’s houses

Toontown Hall of Fame

Walt Disney Railroad (complete loop)

We will be leaving MK by monorail by 6pm for 2 reasons.

1) It is another MNSSHP and we don’t have tickets

2) We are having dinner with Family that night – ‘Ohana!!

Well again, things did not go according to plan, we ended up going to back to Animal Kingdom because we wanted to see the Lion King and Flights of Wonder.

We got the dreaded ME envelope:

We headed to a bus on the way to:

WDW10-08lastofpics190.jpg

Then we saw a Photo Pass photographer.

Disney’s attention to detail is just amazing:

If you go there early in the morning you will likely get to see some type of procedure.

WDW10-08lastofpics207.jpg

This little Cotton Top Tamarin monkey was older and not eating well, so they were going to do some tests to see what was going on.

We saw Jiminy Cricket, he went towards me, grabbed me, and hugged me tight, then pointed to my green shirt and gave me a thumbs up.

Amy went to get her picture with him but I kept getting her with her eyes closed, I told her what the problem was and then I got this:

WDW10-08lastofpics219.jpg

Bill got to meet him too:

WDW10-08lastofpics222.jpg

Time to take a walk through:

As usual I took many pictures:

WDW10-08lastofpics329.jpg

We went to the Poly and checked in for dinner at Ohana. I think Amy was really worn out by this time. She did not seem happy at all. This was one of Bill’s favorite restaurants and there was just a weird vibe going around. We had said for a long time that on this night she and I would get Lapu Lapu’s. We got to the table and I ordered them for us. She had had several drinks this trip, I had too (which is not normal for me, but it was a stress reliever). She took one drink of it, said it was “pure alcohol too strong” and she was not going to drink it. She seemed to not like anything and was just not in a good mood. I told her to order something else to drink and I would take care of the Lapu Lapu:

WDW10-08lastofpics336.jpg

I think I text Scott at that point it was do that or cry. I had to remind myself I was in WDW and to just let it go. Throughout the entire dinner I had to keep thinking “let it go, let it go”. I saw the sadness in Bill’s eyes and I was very upset. I felt a cold coming on at the Lion King that day, I drank both Lapu Lapu’s but didn’t even feel it. I don’t’ know if it was the cold, or just being upset about the situation.

Dinner was over, we went back to the resort, and I packed us all up.

Next installment… it was departure day, where are we going?

I love meetkats!! Do you watch Meerkat Manor on Animal Planet? Or maybe I should say... does Ace watch Meetkat Manor?

I love FOTLK!! Such a great show - I can't wait to share it with my family. :goodvibes

Sorry about the tone your trip is ending on... I'm glad you already had a return trip planned to make up for it.

Great pictures Tracy! I'm sorry your dinner was so rough! I've been there, for sure. :grouphug: I had a Lapu Lapu for the 1st time in October - so good!

Sara

Minnie, she liked my shirt. It says “It’s your job to make me happy”:

WDW10-08lastofpics165.jpg

Hey! I've got that same Minnie shirt--love it! :thumbsup2

Le Cellier = Le Yummy! We've just got to try that place some day.

Tigger... OMGoodness, how great was that picture! It's those little unexpected moments that are just the best!

NO, NO, NO! It can't be over so soon!!!

Hi Kathy!! I thought that shirt was great! LeCellier is sooo yummy!

We had some great character interactions this trip!

It is very close to being over, but I already have the November trip half way done in Word on my computer.

Oct. 27th: Disney’s Hollywood Studios Day 2

Sadly this is departure day, I hate departure day, it puts a damper on anything you do that day. We are headed back to DHS to finish up anything we didn’t do the other day. We have a late flight and will probably be getting on the Magical Express around 5pm.

I want to explore the shops because we never do this. I really want to take things in this trip. We will eat a counter service here or at Pop before getting on the plane. Once we get back to St. Louis it is about a 2 hour drive home. We get to pick up Ace the next morning so that will be something to look forward to.

We were up early, so was Amy. After we got the last of our stuff packed up I called bell services and had them pick it up. I had a 12 pack of Mt. Dew left and 14 waters. I had asked them if they would hold it for me until we were back in 3 weeks and if so how much would it cost. Zero cost and they would be glad to do that for us. pixiedust:

We got to DHS, here are some random Photopass pictures:

image272.jpg

We headed to Toy Story, I don’t remember if we did fast pass or standby. I know we rode once and the CM wanted to let just Bill and I go again, I told them no thank you.

We went to the Backlot Tour:

WDW10-08lastofpics342.jpg

Poor Herbie:

WDW10-08lastofpics360.jpg

After the tour we saw Mike and Sully:

image280.jpg

HELP!!! Sully tried to eat my boyfriend:

WDW10-08lastofpics387.jpg

We went back to Beauty and the Beast so that Amy could see it.

We got some photopass pictures here:

image284.jpg

What is Amy pointing at? :rotfl2:

image286.jpg

I wasn’t feeling well this day. Amy rode RNRC many times this day. We went through One Man’s Dream one more time:

Another topiary:

Last time back to Pop:

WDW10-08lastofpics407.jpg

While we waited for our ME bus, this other bus showed up:

WDW10-08lastofpics411.jpg

We got a real Magical Express bus on the way back to the airport:

WDW10-08lastofpics416.jpg

WDW10-08lastofpics417.jpg

We got to the airport and went through security. Amy and I were first. Bill was in the plexiglass box getting felt up. They wiped down his chair and brought it to some machine. I heard it make a beeping noise and asked the security person if there was a problem, he said maybe. A manager was called over, they said there was some type of chemical on his wheelchair and were going to test it again. Here is a very bad photo:

WDW10-08lastofpics423.jpg

We laughed about it, they asked if we had been to any theme parks, we said 10 days in WDW, they released him to go.

The flight was not full, Amy had a row to herself. We got to St. Louis and she thought it was really cold LOL. We started driving home and got over half way there it was about 1:15am and we are on a 2 lane highway going through a small town. There was a train on the tracks stopped.

WDW10-08lastofpics424.jpg

OMG, I want to go home already. We went down side roads trying to see if we could get past it, but no luck.

We were there about 30 minutes and Amy said to “honk at the train”. We were right next to houses and I told her I would not do that. I called information and had them connect me to the non emergency police number in that town. Within 2 minutes I saw a police car on the other side of the tracks, within 5 minutes the train was moving. We took her home and then went to our apartment.

Next installment… random thoughts and the last of the pictures

We got Ace the next day, he was so excited to see us. They gave us a little report card and as usual he was an attention seeker, “look at me, see how pretty I am, come play with me, take me for a walk”. They all pet him like crazy when we take him home and ask when his next visit will be.

Jodi (Jodster) had given me dog cookies for Ace and Charlie. Thank you again Jodi, it was so sweet of you! I had packed them Amy has never come by to get it, the EE picture, or her copy of the Photopass pictures.

Here is Ace with his cookie:

035.jpg

Isn’t it the cutest thing? It is Indianapolis Colts colors!! He was looking at it I wouldn’t let him eat it until I took the picture, I know bad mommy.

Here he is finally enjoying it:

037.jpg

Now you know we didn’t pin trade this trip and only bought 2 pins:

WDW10-08trip159.jpg

Here is some other stuff we bought on the trip:

Yellow Mickey Head Keychain I hung from my camera to represent Enchanted (I did have Yellow Mickey Heads and Green ones from the Home Depot to represent both Enchanted and the DIS hanging from my camera and Bill’s backpack):

WDW10-08trip162.jpg

When I said Bill’s obsession and you probably thought “trading pins”, well not this trip. It was t-shirts he got 4:

Bill’s shirts:

My shirts:

WDW10-08trip169.jpg

WDW10-08trip170.jpg

I also got a Grumpy shirt, but haven’t taken a pic of it.

All in all it was a good trip. We loved meeting the Ip Dip crew. We hope to meet them again some time in WDW. It is a memory we will always cherish.

As for Amy, I am going to chalk it up to her being 22, not understanding how big WDW was, and learning that we shouldn’t take a newbie for more than 5 days. Bill and I want to bring other people with us to share the magic, I hope we get that chance.

Thanks again for reading. I will be starting a TR on our November trip very soon.

Tracy, I think you're right. My grandmother always used to say, "You can't put an old head on young shoulders," and its so true! You and I are also very alike in that we tend to feel that we are responsible for everyone having a good time. In the end, we can only be responsible for our own reactions to things, whether at home or in "the World."

(Don't we feel like venerable old and wise sages, now?)

I'm glad your experience hasn't soured you on bringing other friends in the future. And, as always, I'm so thrilled for you that your future always seems to involve another WDW trip!!

pixiedust: Eagerly waiting for the next report,

Kathy

Great report Tracy, I love reading about your adventures and how great WDW is for people in wheelchairs. Thanks for writing :goodvibes

Thanks for a great report Tracy! :goodvibes

Wow - What a trip home! First the security at the airport, and then getting stuck by a non-moving train! :crazy2:

How stinkin' cute is that dog? Oh my goodness - I just love him! ::yes::

Very cute shirts - I love Beaker! :thumbsup2

Looking forward to hearing about your next trip, 3 weeks later! :rotfl:

Sara

Hi Tracy, lon time no talk..er..write lol! I just read your last couple days and I'm so sorry Amy was being such a tool!! I'd give my left arm for friends as wonderful, generous, kind and patient as you and Bill!! She is really pissin me off! So I'm out of the loop, when is your next wdw trip palned for?

Aw Tracy. I want to hug you!:grouphug: You and Bill have such big hearts. At least this wasn't your trip of a lifetime and you were able to go back right away and get the bitter taste out of your mouth so to speak. I did enjoy reading your report anyway. You have such a great smile, I'm glad there were some pictures of you in this report. I look forward to reading your next one.

Tracy - Great report!! Sorry to see it end - but happy that you get to start your next one soon. :cool1: Make sure you post a link over here (or in your siggie like you always do) so I can find you. :goodvibes

Can't wait to hear about your November trip. :hyper:
