We leave in a few days and I'm packing all those princess dresses. Some (Belle) are almost sleeve-less. And others are short sleeve. Are the dinning rooms too cold for this (Jan 24th cruise) should i plan for some kind of cover -up?
If so- any suggestions other than a white sweater
Princess dresses packed- Belle, Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White
We are leaving Ariel at home- I heard she is busy at WDW and wont make it:sad1:
Any other dresses that are must haves?
Thanks

You could also do a white long sleeved t-shirt under the dresses....(Yeah, right!)

4 princess dresses are enough for any cruise....although you'll see others on the ship.

Hey Cyndi,

our dresses packed as well...we have Snow W, Aurora, Cindy and Ariel, and my kid wil FREEZE before putting on a shirt underneath...:rotfl: And DD is after me to get her a new one at WDW, she seems to be getting into fairies, but those dresses are skimpy!

One week to go! :hourglass

Jill keeps talking about Do-Si-DO with Elsa, I mean Snow White...:rotfl2:
she thinks that they are going on a stage to dance?? she said she saw it on the video

I tried the white shirt- it didn't look right (I don't blame Elsa) I also bought a nude colored body suit- doesn't look right either. Now i am looking at wraps. Ugh, don't know why I'm obssessing over this.

You are going to be on a ship in the Caribbean. It is going to be warm there. :) We have cruised in December a few times and DD has never used a sweater with her princess dresses. I have almost always worn sleeveless or short sleeved dresses to dinner and not been chilly. Enjoy the break from the cold temps at home. :)

Snow White does go to the 3-4 group and do the Do-Si-Do with the kids. I never let DD go to the clubs in her princess dresses. They are for dinner and pictures. They would get ripped up in the club.

Also, what has worked for us in the past is for me to carry the dresses folded up in ziplock bags in a carry bag and just put them on DD before the specific princess meet. That worked for us because we got the formal family picture, sat for dinner, ran out at 7 to meet with a princess after putting on the dress, finished dinner, saw the show, saw a couple more princesses and changed into the appropriate dress for each. Having them in the bag let DD not get tired of the itchiness and I didn't have to worry about dinner staining the dress before the pictures. ;) You can call the PALS line at night to get the next day's detailed schedule for the characters. It is much more helpful than the navigators.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Just thinking about how you are worried that the dresses might get ripped up. Our dresses are "play" dresses they aren't the real nice ones. they are already a little trashed from all the neighborhood kids wearing them. They wont be too bad for "casual" photos. But I have real dresses for photos. My daughter manages to spill food on all clothing even if she isn't eating??? So maybe I'll follow your plan with the bags for her real dresses. Thanks for the info

On our Eastern cruise in December, Aurora was no where to be seen on the ship, and neither was Ariel. I don't know if others have seen her, but we never found her that week.

Aurora seems to be on an extended vacation. She never showed up on the EB PC Repo and we have seen her many times in the past...even in her blue dress. :) Ariel swims along side the ship of course. ;) I hear she does make appearances on the Wonder though.

:) They are the nice ones from Disneydirect.com but I got them about four years ago when that super sale with all the stacking codes was going on. I got her six of them for $12 each. They were too big for her initially, which is why she didn't wear them around...she couldn't walk in them. She now fits them well and didn't want to wear any of them except Cinderella on our last cruise for her traditional pictures with the princesses. I didn't think that I would be able to hold the tears back at dinner the night she didn't even want to leave to get a picture with Snow White. :( They grow up way too fast!

Hey cyndi - When we were on the cruise last year, also in Jan, Mylee was only 5 months and she wore her sleevelss princess dresses and it was plenty warm in the dining room. I didn't have to put a sweater or anything additional on her. The dining rooms are pretty warm since so many people are in there at any given time. It was a little breezy outsie but not too bad. We stayed outside late watchign the payoffs on the big screen and she was fine. I can't wait to see all our little princesses together!princess:
