Introducing Amy to "Walt's World" *Updated twice 1/21 Last installments*

Sorry about Amy!!!

I've travelled with friends before and discovered that sometimes we are not compatible traveling companions.

My roommates and I are complete opposites when it comes to traveling so, while I like traveling with them still, it's hard.

Just a word from a single person, sometimes single people need their space. :confused3

Tracy...so glad to heat that things got straightened out with Amy! I love that she said you showed her her happy place...that's fantastic!

Ok...I just have to say...Bill looks awfully cute in his rain poncho get up...lol. (He won't get offended if I thought he looked cute, will he? :goodvibes ) It looks like you all had a great time and woo hoo to 3 times on TSM! I loved that ride! We are "supposed" to see Fantasmic next month..but now that they are down to only two performances for the week..if we have ANY lightning..we may as well forget it this time around. :headache:

Loved the update Tracy! Riding TSM 3 times in a row would be so awesome! That ride is so much fun!

That 1st dessert at Mama's looks to die for! Do you remember what it was called?

Looking forward to more...:goodvibes

Sara

Hi Jo!! How is the Mom's Panel coming along? I loved your video, your accent is fantastic!! I could listen to you talk all day.
It's very busy the amount of questions coming in is huge, that's good though :thumbsup2 And thanks about my voice :rotfl2:

**AMY UPDATE**
I'm so pleased

No stinkin rain will stop us from getting to DHS!!
:thumbsup2

I said we had already ridden it twice, she said she didn’t mind, so we got to ride TSM 3 times in a row WOO HOO!!
That's fantastic, you have to wait longer than us because there are fewer cars so that's great :thumbsup2

A lady wearing a floppy hat driving an ECV rammed into the back of Bill's wheelchair  . She said she "didn't see him" . I said "If you can't see some one 2 feet in front of you, maybe you don't need to be driving that". Bill said he was fine, I had to get away from her or I would have said some very un Disneylike things.
:sad2:

Your trips reports are so fun!!! I feel like I am really there. Can't wait to read the next installment!!!!

I love the picture of Bill in his poncho. He looks so happy and ready to go! It sounds like you had a nice "day off" if ya know what I mean.:) I can't wait to ride TSM someday. It looks like so much fun. Even though I don't normally like 3D I think I would like it. I didn't use to like DHS (MGM:confused3), but I'm liking it better lately. So, it sounds like Mama Melrose's wasn't your favorite. You guys have been so many times, are there still some places you'd like to try to eat? What's your favorites? I'm always happy to see an update from you.

How cool that you guys got to ride TSM three times in a row! I didn't know they had a wheelchair ride vehicle...that is good to know for DH. The desserts at Mama's look yummy. ;)

The have a separate accessible area for people with mobility issues, if you can't climb stairs, use an ECV or wheelchair, you go in one area. It was fantastic to get to ride it that much, it was great pixiedust.

Perhaps that lady's floppy hat obstructed her vision!! :confused3

I'm thankful that I don't need an ECV (yet!), I'm sure I would be crashing into everyone and everything... I usually hit the curb when I'm parking the mommy-van!

Seriously, I'm glad Bill was not injured.

You really made up for that other DHS day and got to do so much fun stuff. I'm with you guys... who care's if its raining when you're at Disney!! :cloud9:

Kathy

I have issues with the curb in the van, but it seems the ECV users that hit people like to drive it at full speed, people need to learn to slow down.

A rainy day in Disney is better than a sunny day at home :thumbsup2.

How awesome that you got to ride TSM three times in a row! :thumbsup2

It was very awesome, since Bill and I have to work together it was great to have more turns to practice our moves.

Hi Tracy - Glad to hear you are working things out with Amy. :goodvibes

That's so fun that you got to ride TSM three times! A CM let Alex ride the magic carpets twice in 2007. We were waiting in the alternate entrance area to board with Alex's GAC - Alex, Zachary and I were going to ride while the other grown ups waited, but at last minute Zachary had a potty emergency and had to leave the area where we were waiting. He was screaming so the CM told him he could get right on when he got back. I told her that we would wait another cycle, but she let us on anyways and told us we could ride again when Zachary got back. Alex & I took a spin then Zachary joined us for a second ride.

I love Disney. :lovestruc

Thank you.

Isn't it great when the CM's give out pixiedust like that? It was wonderful.

Sorry about Amy!!!

Hi Jordan! We asked her many times if she wanted space, I think her partying the night before our trip, not getting sleep before we left, and having to get up early for our flight to WDW really caught up with her.

Tracy...so glad to heat that things got straightened out with Amy! I love that she said you showed her her happy place...that's fantastic!

Hi! He smiled when I told him about you saying he was cute, he would never be offended by that . Good luck with Fantasmic.

Loved the update Tracy! Riding TSM 3 times in a row would be so awesome! That ride is so much fun!

That 1st dessert at Mama's looks to die for! Do you remember what it was called?

Looking forward to more...:goodvibes

Sara

The chocolate dessert was Warm Chocolate Truffle Cake, the other was Honey Hazelnut and Ricotta Cheesecake.

It's very busy the amount of questions coming in is huge, that's good though :thumbsup2 And thanks about my voice :rotfl2:

Hi Jo!! I can't imagine how many questions the Mom's Panel gets a day. It is so great that you understand about the ratio of guests to accessible cars, some people don't get that.

Your trips reports are so fun!!! I feel like I am really there. Can't wait to read the next installment!!!!

Thank you so much for reading, I really enjoy writing them.

I love the picture of Bill in his poncho. He looks so happy and ready to go! It sounds like you had a nice "day off" if ya know what I mean.:) I can't wait to ride TSM someday. I'm always happy to see an update from you.

He is always happy every morning when we are at WDW except departure day. I think you would enjoy TSM. Mama's was fine, it was just a stressful meal.

As for places we would like to try to eat: Chef Mickeys (we have it booked for June), T-Rex (Bill is a really a little boy disguised as a man), 1900 Park Fare, CRT and Tutto Italia to name a few.

As for favorites, we love 50's Prime Time Cafe, O'hana, and a new favorite LeCelliar.

Oct. 25th: Epcot Day 3

Goals for this day:
Character Spot
Club Cool

World Showcase (seeing Miyuki the candy lady and going to the “pick a pearl” location in Japan are the two things I want to do)

We have lunch scheduled at LeCellier, that is all I could get, but at least we are going there, it’s about time.

We decided to spend some time at Magic Kingdom before heading over to Epcot. We decided to head over to:

WDW10-08lastofpics005.jpg

We saw a great topiary on the way:

WDW10-08lastofpics004.jpg

I love the topiaries in WDW. Some day I would love to go to the Flower and Garden Festival.

We went to Buzz Lightyear. They let us ride twice then we went to look at the picture. Bill made sure to wave at the camera. The CM found it and suggested I take a picture of it!! I got permission to redneck the photo!!

WDW10-08lastofpics008.jpg

We saw Stitch with a really short line so Bill and Amy went to meet him:

image172.jpg

Then it was time to introduce Amy to COP. We were waiting for it to come around and heard a commotion behind us. Apparently a teenager had gotten to aggressive with Stitch, the Character Attendant handled it really well.

Then we got to hear “There’s a great big beautiful tomorrow”:

WDW10-08lastofpics013.jpg

WDW10-08lastofpics018.jpg

We ate lunch at Cosmic Rays and headed to Winnie the Pooh, oh look another topiary:

WDW10-08lastofpics024.jpg

There was too much of a line for Pooh, so we headed to Mickey’s Philharmagic, for some reason I took a picture of the doors?

WDW10-08lastofpics027.jpg

Then we went to It’s a Small World After All:

WDW10-08lastofpics028.jpg

Carrie, a chicken (I think):

WDW10-08lastofpics043.jpg

We went to Frontierland, Amy got a Fast Pass for Splash Mountain (I chickened out), and went to the accessible area of:

WDW10-08lastofpics054.jpg

Bill wanted to try to see if he could ride it, they led us into a que area. I thought the seats were too tight, we tried to load him, his legs just didn’t want to bend enough and now his foot was really hurting. I wanted to stay with him, he told me to ride it. I kept asking if he was sure. He wanted me to take his shoe off and he told me to ride. I didn’t enjoy this at all, I wanted to be with Bill and I was so happy when it was over.

We found him next to a seating area, I rubbed his ankle, Amy smoked and talked to her brother that lives in Florida. He was meeting her at Epcot today. It was almost time for her FP, so after a bit we headed that way. We decided after Splash she was heading over to Epcot, we were hanging out at MK for a bit and meeting her for the LeCellier dinner at 4:10pm. (In the pre trip I had an ADR for lunch, but kept calling back until I got a dinner) I got some pics of her on the ride, but not on the drop:

WDW10-08lastofpics056.jpg

WDW10-08lastofpics057.jpg

We headed to first aid and started walking toward the front of the park. Then the plan was to head over to Epcot, but a little thing called:

WDW10-08lastofpics069.jpg

Was moments away from starting and we had never watched it, so we said “why not”!! We were in front of the train station. While we waited I took these, I still was loving the Halloween decorations:

I kept saying we needed to leave and I kept taking pictures, but we finally left. We got on the monorail and made it to Epcot, the doors opened and HUH, WHAT?? No Cast Member anywhere to be seen. I knew we only had a limited amount of time before the doors would close and we would be heading back to the TTC. I took matters into my own hands and decided to play Cast member. I grabbed the ramp and got Bill off the monorail, I was already putting the ramp back when a CM finally showed up apologizing. If we weren’t so close to our ADR time I would have been complaining about her.

I have never walked so fast through Epcot in my life, Amy text us asking where we were, we were about 3 minutes from ADR time then. I told her to check us in we would be right there, we got there and she said we were checked in.

WDW10-08lastofpics133.jpg

We got seated and they explained the Dining Plan, but there was something new. A pre fix menu that included an appetizer and we could choose that if we wanted using the dining plan:

WDW10-08lastofpics112.jpg

We didn’t do this, I didn’t need an appetizer, I wanted one but didn’t need one.

My dinner:

WDW10-08lastofpics116.jpg

Amy’s:

WDW10-08lastofpics117.jpg

Bill’s:

WDW10-08lastofpics118.jpg

Bill got a Moose with an attitude:

WDW10-08lastofpics119.jpg

I got the chocolate cake and was high from the chocolate and sugar:

WDW10-08lastofpics120.jpg

Amy’s cheesecake (maybe):

WDW10-08lastofpics121.jpg

She was going back to catch up with her brother, which she never
introduced to us, but we saw pictures, he is real :haha:. We headed to O’Canada.

Waterfall:

WDW10-08lastofpics123.jpg

Where wheelchairs enter the theater:

WDW10-08lastofpics127.jpg

I love Victoria Gardens:

Next installment... can there be more character love??

There were so many pictures this day I decided to split up the installments. I love the architecture at Epcot:

WDW10-08lastofpics137.jpg

We went to England so we could see the British Invasion. I sat on the sidewalk, Bill was next to me. While we were waiting for them this little guy entertained us ( made me think of Buzz):

WDW10-08lastofpics141.jpg

WDW10-08lastofpics139.jpg

We didn’t know it, but we had a great view of where Pooh and company come in the back door for meet and greets. They saw us and Bill was immediately attacked by a bear:

WDW10-08lastofpics142.jpg

That is Bill’s head you can barely see. I was laughing so much I could hardly breathe.

Pooh had to go and as he was walking away we saw this in the window:

WDW10-08lastofpics143.jpg

WDW10-08lastofpics144.jpg

Then Alice showed up on her way to the backstage:

WDW10-08lastofpics147.jpg

She started talking to Bill:

WDW10-08lastofpics148.jpg

WDW10-08lastofpics150.jpg

Horrible picture of British Invasion:

WDW10-08lastofpics152.jpg

We headed to the meet and greet area to see who was in there:

WDW10-08lastofpics153.jpg

image177.jpg

image179.jpg

image180.jpg

Tigger pointed to himself then to the window, I said, “that was you in the window?” He shook his head yes and bounced.

image190.jpg

After we left, we briefly toyed with the thought of staying for Illuminations and decided against it. We just took our time walking toward the exit, then an idea popped in my head, we had never been to the Character Spot. The line wasn’t long at all so we went to jump in. A character attendant saw us and told us to wait. He stopped the next family and asked if we could go in front of them. I told him no, we would wait in line, the family all said to go ahead, I kept apologizing and telling them it wasn’t necessary. They would have nothing of it and told us to go meet Mickey so we did.

image200.jpg

Next up was Pluto:

image218.jpg

Minnie, she liked my shirt. It says “It’s your job to make me happy”:

Donald:

Lastly Goofy:

We had a great time there and left the park.

Next installment… the last full day in the World

Love the updates! I need to see all these warm weather pictures in our nearly below zero temps..ugh. I'm glad that Bill enjoyed my compliment! :) How was Le Cellier? We are going there next month for lunch. The food looks really good. :goodvibes

I can't wait to hear more!

Wonderful updates Tracy! You got some really great character shots and sweet interaction. I love the pic of Tigger in the window and of Alice and Bill.

Le Cellier looks great! I would love to try it one day.

The parade characters were great too - some more "rare" ones in that one, it seems.

Sounds like a wonderful day! :goodvibes

Sara

Great pictures - sounds like a fun day! I've been dreaming of Epcot lately - I think that's what I'm most looking forward to this time. :lovestruc

I'm sad that your last day is coming up. :sad2:

The food from Le Cellier looks amazing. I am really proud of you Tracey that you stuck to your healthy eating (mostly;) ) during your trip. Your commitment is admirable.:) :woohoo:

Pooh, Alice and Tigger being so kind to Bill is a testament to Disney's ability to bring magic into a person's life....A thumb's up to those CMs:thumbsup2

Great updates Tracy! I've never seen Stitch naked before!LOL! He looked kind of funny. I would have been panicing on the monorail if no one had come to help. Good thing you knew what to do. Did you like Le Cellier? We really liked it, but I know some people don't. I'm sad for your report to be over, but glad to know there will be more!:thumbsup2

Hi Tracy :goodvibes

I'll be back tomorrow to read through your TR, but wanted to stop by and say hey. I just saw your two pictures on the first page and you look great! :thumbsup2

Wonderful update Tracy. I love all the character pictures. Did you enjoy your food at Le Cellier? I have always wanted to try it but I have a cheeseburger and fries kind of husband.

Hi i have been reading your PTR and your TR and so far it is wonderful. Never been to Disney World before :sad2: . But i am planning a trip to Disney World this year from August 8th to 15th (hopping the dates stay the same). But i am waiting to hear the rest of your TR....

We went to England so we could see the British Invasion. I sat on the sidewalk, Bill was next to me.
Sorry just had to correct you, if you were in England you sat on the Path or the Kerb not the sidewalk ;) :rotfl2:

How weird Amy didn't introduce you to her brother???? How sweet was the interaction from Pooh and Tigger, so cute :goodvibes
