OUR STORY
James & MaryFrances met 13 years ago in high school. They secretly liked each other but were too shy to reveal their true feelings. Her Junior year, she found out that prom would be at Disneyland & she knew that this special place required a special person. She asked James to prom and he accepted!

Although she was 16, she knew that he was the one when they strolled upon a Dixieland band at prom and he sang “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah” to her while they played. Soon after, she moved 300 miles away for college & James realized what life would be like without her. He brought flowers to her everyday and asked if she would be his girl. 3 months later they were engaged.

After their 1st visit to Disney World, they realized that it would be the perfect location for their wedding because of the shimmering ambiance, memorable experiences & romantic scenery.

James & MaryFrances are getting married December 1, 2011.

I noticed in your ticker that you are going to Disney for the first time in 3 weeks? If that is right- they oh my god!! you will enjoy it so much you will not want to leave! make the most of every moment!!

We are going in March, and although we are staying outside Disney, we are going to try to stay in Disney for as long as we can and make the most of every Disney thing we can because we will not be going back until the wedding in Nov 2010!!

If i dont get a chance to send you a post before you go, have a great time!!!!

I look forward to reading all your plans on here!!

Geeky Stuff

I was reading a Disbride's PJ (I wish I could site the source, but for the life of me, can't remember who's it was), and she mentioned that a USB drive really came in handy for her.

What a great idea, I thought! So, I ordered one straight away.

Bouquet Ideas

I thought that maybe the bridesmaides could carry three peonies (pink flowers -- their dresses will be black) so that it kind of looks like Mickey's head. I really like the weird black bouquet in the middle for me. I put the third picture in because I like the little "bubbles" in the bouquet (look close!)...but not the yellowness of it.

Dang. March 09 - Nov. 2010 is a looooong time. How can you STAND IT?!

Thanks for the well wishes ~

I can't believe it's finally happening! I'm super excited to go to WDW again and I can't believe I'm going to have my wedding there!

James and I were talking about it last night and we don't think we'd be this excited if the wedding were anywhere else. Prep for a wedding is a-lot-a-lot of thinking and doing one's best. It's exhausting!

Anyway - things are happening. I sent DFTW confirmation on some info this morning and they're going to send me the contract soon.

I have to book 4 days at a Resort as part of the Escape requirement - but I'm not sure where I wanna stay. I've been to WDW once before (Feb. 2009) and we stayed at the Coronado. I LOOOVED my stay there. The lake was beautiful and the creme brulee was off the hook at their restaurant, but I'm ready for something new.

We're thinking about Port Orleans French Quarter or maybe saving some money and going with Pops....or maybe splurging a little for Wilderness?

I don't know! :lovestruc

Thanks guys - that's all I needed to hear. I think we are going to splurge! MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!

We got our Save The Dates out a few weeks ago (sans date because I couldn't wait for the 8 month mark) and I'll be posting that tomorrow!

Hi! :goodvibes
Your dress is beautiful & that usb is great! LOL. I want one just like it so that it can fit with the Disney-ness of the wedding! :lmao:

Cant wait to see what else you come up with!!

Everyone kept asking and asking and asking about the wedding and the details and it became apparent that I needed to send something sooner than later - I think they were asking soooooooooo much because they couldn't believe we were actually and finally going to have a wedding. So, I dreamed up this DIY and mailed them out last month.

RESULTS

We were really happy with the way everything turned out. The idea all started because I wanted an interactive card and I thought, wouldn't it be cool if we could open the Alice in Wonderland door, and there would be a picture of us drinking tea inside? Then the project just exploded and I wanted to include tea cups, too. So, naturally I thought -- what should I fill the cups with? Then I thought little drink me bottles would be cute -- and I thought we should fill them with tea (duh) and then I thought, since I'm doing tea -- I might as well do cookies, too. (OMG - we had to redo the cookies because they bled through the box. We had to throw out the old boxes that were stained, re-buy cookie boxes, and stuff the cookies in plastic confectionery bags BEFORE we put the in the cookies boxes. Nightmare.) So. That's how it happened! I thought the key would be a cute touch because - well - I don't really have to explain that to Disney nerds, right?! It just goes with the Alice theme :rotfl:

The personal notes said something inside like, "Hi! Our actual wedding date will be announced in April. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy the tea and cookies! Love, MaryFrances and James"

The Post Office told me it would take 7-9 days to ship since we picked the cheapest option (Parcel Post) -- but most of our guests got our package within 2-3 days! Nice!

People said that they felt surprised and kinda filled with wonder because they didn't know what the heck the box was all about!

So - it was super worth it and it was a way fun project to do. AAAANNNNDDD, I'm on to the next thing - we're working on the follow up now that we have the December 1 date with Disney booked. I think the follow-up is going to surprise people, too!

Hey,

Your save the dates are amazing! :) What a fantastic idea! :) I cant wait to see your actual invitations... I hope they are as exciting!
