We are wanting to trade out some points for a trip to Hershey PA in July. I understand (If I'm correct) that we will be put on a wait list for the days that we want and then I guess at some point they will let us know if we got our days or not. We are suppose to call back tomorrow to give them our days that we want because we weren't in the system yet for some reason. Anyway, how does this exactly work when you trade them out? At what point will I know I got the reservation I wanted? Do they take a second choice at the same time?

If it's available, they will book it right away, if not they can put you on a wait list and they will automatically confirm it if they find it. You can always cancel anytime without risk before a match is found. Hershey is difficult in summer so don't get your hopes up, even if you were looking at 2010. It's also only going to be available for a week at a time, not for less. You might also look at a private trade with a Bluegreen owner or a fixed week owner there. BG can reserve less than a full week also.

We are wanting to book for a week.
There is currently nothing in II and nothing in RCI until late fall sitting there. OF course most deposits go to ongoing searches so you should start the search now if you want to try.

One of the worst timeshares I've been to. Sat on the waitlist for 16 months. They have 3 small buildings and a small pool. Thats about it. No balcony and we got the building with no hot tub or fireplace. They have almost no inventory going into the bank. There is a train that almost runs inside the resort and blows its whistle all night. I don't think any one of us slept the entire week. Other than being down the street from the park there is absolutely no reason to ever want to stay there and there's nothing to do for week. We left after 5 days of boredom.

Ouch!

Not a very good endorsement of the resort.

As Dean posted, getting an exchange into Hershey, in July will be difficult and almost very unlikely at this point.

Unless you have friends or family there, that quote could be said (and has been said) about the entire town. Although I bet my wife would like the chocolate spa treatments there at the ?Hershey Inn.

We were unable to get our days in July for Hershey, but we are going to wait list them eventually. We took May 09 at SSR instead. We have family North of Pittsburgh so a Hershey trip made it easy for us to visit them too. There is alot we want to see in hershey...Dutch Wonderland, Zoo America, Etc. Soooo...we will get up there sooner or later. :goodvibes Thanks for everyone's help!
