I am so sorry things with Amy turned out like that. What a huge disappointment to you and Bill. It's just heart-hurting when friendships have rifts like that...and I am sure she feels it, too. Like you said, embarrassed by her behavior. I hope there is some way to repair it, that she finds a way to reach out to you two.

Hi, it was very disappointing, I was so upset. I did everything I could to make it magical for her. Asked her several times to plan with me. When we go there we asked her opinion on things. It isn't like we went all commando and made her go go go.

I am having fun with the song titles.

It really is a shame when you decide to share something special with someone and they just don't appreciate it.

But I am so happy that you guys got to try out some new rides! TT & Soarin' are both awesome!! I love how you were holding Bill down so tight! I guess there was no way he would be flying around the car. I'm glad you guys liked both rides - I'm sure you'll figure out a way to get back with another helper in the future.

Hi Amy, I am so happy we got to try them too. I was glad we got to ride TT twice, the second time I was more relaxed so I could enjoy it.

I am sorry you had another day with an attitude. I know how much you worked on trying to make the trip perfect and then you got so much attittude.

On a side note the pictures from TT were great! Y'all were really holding Bill down and I understand why especially when you really get the speed up and go around the curve! I am so happy that you got to experience so many fun rides this trip.

As for a TR for SWW we will never get sick of you or your TR so I hope you post it!!!!

I'm so sorry that Amy didn't seem to appreciate the extent of thought and planning you put into this trip..to make it special and unforgettable. I hope that she can open up and either apologize for her behavior so you can move past it, or at least grow up enough to not avoid you and stop hurting both Bill and you.

I had to laugh out loud at the TT pics....you so had the "mom arm" going...you know...the arm that snaps out like a seatbelt to protect those next to you? My mom did that to me in the car not too long ago...and I'm 34. I guess you never get it out of your system...lol.

To say that I am happy to see you is a complete understatement. I am such a sap, I read your post and got all teary eyed. How is every one? How did the renovations of the house go? How is Aunt Rae? I am sorry for all the questions, I am just thrilled to see you on here.

Well, let's see....

Everyone here is fine... poor Aunt Rae took a nasty fall a few months ago and needed a couple of weeks of rehab--she's back on her feet, though, just a bit more "wobbly".

We're back in our "new" house and I must admit it was well worth the six months of construction craziness! The holidays were splendid....Eddie was with us here in Jersey for the bulk of his vacation...he's a freshman at North Carolina State University...and Tricia and Billy were in heaven!

Now that I'm about 90% unpacked and organized and the Christmas rush is through, my thoughts (naturally) are turning to our next WDW trip!! Perhaps another November "Jersey Week". Not quite sure yet if we can swing it financially, but when you've got DVC points calling like sirens to sailors, it's hard to resist!

Feel better, sweetie!! And a big 'ole kiss to Bill....

I am so sorry to hear that about Aunt Rae, I hope she has a speedy recovery. I am so happy to hear that about the house!! That was wonderful that Eddie got to be with you, I am sure Tricia and Billy loved it.

We were thinking about you and your family when we were there in November. I bet it is hard to resist not planning another trip.

A big HELLO to Bill and Tracy from Rozz! I'm just getting caught up on the trip. It made me think of my first time on TOT. I get motion sickness from certain rides and I wasn't sure how I would react to this one. Our elevator dropped about two too many times. If it weren't for this, I would have absolutely loved it instead of just liking it. Makes no sense but I often don't make sense anyway!

Now Test Track, I adore! We ride it several times if wait times aren't too long. Soarin' is fantastic, isn't it?

I will be optimistic for you and Bill that Amy will recognize that you still want her friendship. She just may not have realized how much the trip excitement and growing sleep deficit would affect her. It sounds like she just needed to have a little down time or do other things while you and Bill visited the parks. If she were very fatigued, her normal filters might not have functioned well enough to prevent the behavior that resulted.

I know I've done and said some outlandish things out of sheer tiredness and felt bad about it later. Who knows. I'm just running my mouth here. Give Amy time and just be open to her. You know better how to handle this than I would. You and Bill seem very grounded...with just a dash of wackiness and a lot of magical Disney heart!

Hi Rozz!! I want to do TOT again. It dropped 3 times with us. Test Track is great and Soarin is amazing, although they really need to clean the screen.

We were thrilled to see your pics of the MNSSHP... the parade... the characters... the decorations....

I'm currently trying to sweet-talk Ed into going back 10/31-11/6. (Jersey Week, again.) It's early this year so we might actually be trick-or-treating Halloween night at the Magic Kingdom if I can get tickets to the party!!!

It definitely seems worth it!

**AMY UPDATE**

Thanks to everyone that replied about the Amy issue. She texted with us last night and I think everything was straightened out. Some life issues have gotten in the way. She said the trip wore her out but she was not mad at us at all. She said we showed her a "happy place".

Oct. 24th: Disney’s Hollywood Studios Day 1


Goals for this day:

Toy Story
Tower of Terror (we will go through the queue with Amy, but not ride)
RnRC (we will go through the queue with Amy, but not ride)
One Man’s Dream
Little Mermaid
Disney Animation
Indiana Jones
Star Tours
Muppets 3D
Lights, Motors, Action
Beauty and the Beast (with no Four for a Dollar, I am still miffed at this, heck I even emailed Disney about how bummed I was about it)

Well it was Disney Hollywood Studios Day, but day 2, or 1 ½ actually because the first one didn’t really count, we weren’t there long enough to really do anything that day.

I jumped out of bed when the wake up call came, I got dressed and helped Bill. We didn’t hear a peep out of Amy’s room. She knew we wanted close to rope drop. Bill stated she was a big girl and not to bother her so that is what I did. It was raining that morning so I had to get Bill prepared:

No stinkin rain will stop us from getting to DHS!!

We got to the park quickly and headed straight for Toy Story Mania woo hoo!! I got fastpasses, then we hopped in line. This was the first time we got to see Mr. Potato Head:

We loved it as usual. Then we decided to go to Indiana Jones. We always ask to sit up front. The bad guy was different this time, he was still there just not the bad guy. We really like him because he came and talked to us after the show last year. We enjoyed the show then decided to get something to munch on at the Writers Stop:

Strawberry slushie and a strawberry muffin to share, the muffin was huge:

We had a little time before our fastpasses were ready so we decided to meet Buzz and Woody. The queue for this meet and greet is cute.

We then walked across the street to us our Toy Story Mania FP’s:

Now I know I was texting Amy towards the end of the ride and the CM asked us if we would like to ride again, heck yeah, sure we would. We came back ready to unload, it was a different CM and she asked us if we wanted to ride again, no one was waiting for the wheelchair accessible ride vehicle. I said we had already ridden it twice, she said she didn’t mind, so we got to ride TSM 3 times in a row WOO HOO!!

(Here is where things get sketchy – I don’t have notes (BAD TRACY BAD TRACY)

I think Amy was either on the Backlot Tour or Rockin Roller Coaster so we decided to go to Beauty and the Beast:

When the CM was letting us go up to BATB everyone was stopped. A lady wearing a floppy hat driving an ECV rammed into the back of Bill's wheelchair . She said she "didn't see him" . I said "If you can't see some one 2 feet in front of you, maybe you don't need to be driving that". Bill said he was fine, I had to get away from her or I would have said some very un Disneylike things.

Bill still had the poncho on so it still had to be raining/drizzling:

We went to first aid, then met up with Amy. It was almost 3pm, but we made it through One Man’s Dream. Then it was time for our reservation at Mama Melrose. Bill and I have never been there.

On the way we saw this, I think it is cute:

We opened the door at Mama’s and it was like walking into a cooler.

The food was fine, I didn’t take pictures except for dessert:

We decided to head over to get in line for Fantasmic, Amy wanted to ride RNRC again she had a FP so we told her to text us when she was done.

Wheelchair location:

There was enough room for 2 wheelchairs/ECV’s in that space. Amy text us, found us, smoked a couple of times and watched Fantasmic with us.

We ate at Pop that night (I think).

I'm thankful that I don't need an ECV (yet!), I'm sure I would be crashing into everyone and everything... I usually hit the curb when I'm parking the mommy-van!

You really made up for that other DHS day and got to do so much fun stuff. I'm with you guys... who care's if its raining when you're at Disney!!

Hi Tracy - Glad to hear you are working things out with Amy.

That's so fun that you got to ride TSM three times! A CM let Alex ride the magic carpets twice in 2007. We were waiting in the alternate entrance area to board with Alex's GAC - Alex, Zachary and I were going to ride while the other grown ups waited, but at last minute Zachary had a potty emergency and had to leave the area where we were waiting. He was screaming so the CM told him he could get right on when he got back. I told her that we would wait another cycle, but she let us on anyways and told us we could ride again when Zachary got back. Alex & I took a spin then Zachary joined us for a second ride.

I love Disney.
