There's just so much to learn as new members!

We currently own 100 pts at AKV, but we are considering an add on (already). My question is this...

If we add on at a different resort, how does the booking process work? For example, let's say we own 100 pts at AKV, and add on 50 pts at HHI. If I want to book a week at HHI when can I book? Do I have to book with the 50 points at 11 months out, then call back at 7 months to use the 100 points? Or can I book all 150 at 11 months out? :teacher: I think the answer will seriously effect where we decide to add on.

Thanks in advance for the help!:thumbsup2

You can only book reservations with your home resort at the 11 month window. So in your case you can book 50pts at HHI at the 11 month window, than call back at the 7 month window to book using the 100 AKV pts. to continue making your HHI reservation. You can't combine both resort pts at the 11 month window.

Thanks Jean - that's what I thought. Looks like we'll add on a smaller contract at AKV (for now, maybe we'll do something different down the road. I now understand those "addonitis" posts that I used to read before buying! :rotfl: )

What you can do is use banking and borrowing to your advantage. If you have that 50 pt HHI contract, bank the first year and during the next year borrow from the third year and get 150 points for your stay at 11 months out.

For example.
Apr UY. You want to go in May 2010.

Bank the April 2009 points = 50
Use the April 2010 points = 50
Borrow the April 2011 points = 50

Thanks for continuing my explanation, I completely forgot about banking and borrowing.

Of course if you do that, you can only go to HHI every third year. :)
