Hey there! We have set aside one day during our visit in May to go to IOA. Is there a specific day we should aim for? We will be in Orlando MAy 15 to the 22nd in case that comes into play.

Thanks and Happy New Year!

you'll be in orlando from a friday to a friday by the dates you posted.

i assume you are staying off site and doing a one day adventure at universal.

i would suggest that you try to avoid the weekends.
weekends for any theme park tends to have more crowds.

i have found that tu, we, th during the week have lessor crowds for the park.

i say that as that is how it has been for me when i went in mid may.

i'm sure you will get lots of opinions on the thread.

btw, since you are doing only one day, get there early and you won't have any crowds until about 11ish in the morning.

We will be there the week following the OP... Memorial Day week!

I imagine that Memorial Day weekend Friday-Monday(memorial) will be packed. :scared:

I am hoping against hope that the Tuesday-Thursday after Memorial the crowds will be gone... Until they pick back up in June for the Summer.

I am hoping that somebody here might have some idea how it might be.
I truly appreciate any input! :goodvibes

Memorial Day weekend is busy. I don't think Tues-Thursday after Memorial Day will be too busy. Summer crowds do start in June but it isn't near as busy as July.

Saturdays are always busy especially at Islands of Adventure when more locals hit the park. There also seem to be quite a bit of school groups in May but most are on Fridays. Your best bet for lower crowds is Monday-Thursday (except for Memorial Day on Monday.)

I'm sure you will have a lot of fun. Yesterday, I walked through the parks especially trying to notice if the music was loud. It wasn't loud at all--even Toon Lagoon didn't have loud music. The only place that had the music that was cranked up was in Citywalk.

Wow!
Thanks again Phamton...
I really am hoping to have a great time!
Since we are not huge coaster fans (DS is too anxious) I need to go over and check out the thread about all the things to do without the big/scary coasters.

I am looking forward to Margaritaville and Latin Quarter at Citywalk.

And for DS, we are hoping that there will be TNA Wrestling while we are there.

:cool1:

:woohoo:

If weekends are so bad, do you think it would it still be possible to see all the attractions at US (not IOA) on a Saturday in early May? I'm trying to plan which days to go to Disney and which Universal and the UG says Saturdays are normally one the better days to do US... :(

If you're going on a Saturday in early May, you should have no trouble seeing everything at the Studios...just get there early to beat the crowds.
