Well, I just finished my first trip report, and here I am starting a pre-trip report :). That would be thanks to my DH, who loved Disney so much when we took our girls in October that he suggested we go again by ourselves. I'll start with introductions for those of you who don't know us.

Donald--DH, otherwise known as Adam. A great guy, we've known each other since high school, but didn't get married until after I graduated from college. He is a sweetheart, but he definitely has some temper issues on occassion......hence the Donald reference.

Daisy--Me, also known as Tristin. I'm 28 years old, soon to be 29 (that's part of what this trip is to celebrate), and I'm a stay at home mom to our two beautiful girls. Adam owns a business, so I do the books and help with the financial things.

Although they won't be joining us on this trip, I have to mention my two beautiful little girls. First is Anna, recently turned 6. A princess fan, but right now she's really into Hannah Montana. She is my little sweetheart, and people call her my "mini-me". Not only does she look like me, she pretty much acts exactly like me, which drives DH a little crazy :rotfl: . She is in preschool and absolutely loves it. She is a bit upset that we're going without her, but I've promised to bring her home some pins, so that made her feel better :). I also have another special surprise for her, that I'll share later.

Our second little girl is Addyson, affectionately known as Addy. She is 16 months old and has basically the complete opposite of her sister.......not just in looks, but in personality. Where Anna is pretty shy, Addy is very outgoing and has been known to chase people in department stores if they don't answer her when she talks to them  .

We will be on the Deluxe Dining plan, and, thanks to the 4/3 deal, we will be staying at the Contemporary. Initially we were staying at Pop, but the deal allowed us to upgrade for pretty much the same cost. We're really excited because we've never stayed at a Deluxe before.

I'm in! just following you from your former TR and am going to live vicariously through your report until I can be there myself in April.:cool1:

Can't believe I am first:dance3:

Yeah!!!! I'm glad to have you here. Congrats on being the first :flower3: .

As many of you know, I'm a compulsive planner. I like to have as much information as I can and have as many things as I can lined out. DH thinks I'm a little crazy, but he always appreciates it once we're there. He pretty much just sits back and lets me take care of things. He had only two requests this time around.

1. He wanted to go back to Yak and Yeti. We ate there last trip, and it was our favorite meal. He didn't even care when it wasn't showing up on the dining plan.........he said we'd pay out of pocket for it if we had to. Luckily, they did sign back on to the dining plan, so we'll be able to use a dining credit here.

2. We both tried the Cheddar Cheese Soup during the Food and Wine festival last trip, and we loved it. So, DH asked me to try to get a reservation at Le Cellier. I was a little concerned about this because we were way past the 180 day mark, but I really didn't have any trouble getting it.

This is my planning notebook.......it hold copies of all the reservations, flight, info, pressed penny list, etc.

The design was of course done by the talented people on the DISign thread and will also show up on some t-shirts during the trip. I made several sets of t-shirts last time, and we always got lots of compliments on them. DH even help picked some of the designs this time.

Quite a while ago, I picked up some Mickey head to make a countdown calendar, but I never got around to doing it. Well, last night I had some time, so I made a quick one. We only had 17 days left, but it fit perfectly.

And a picture after I took the Mickey head off this morning :)

I wanted to do something really special for DD #1 this trip because she's upset not only that we're going without her, but even more so because we'll be gone for a week. She and I are very close, and it's hard for us to be apart from each other. Although I know DD #2 will miss me too, she is young enough to not be quite as upset. They will be staying with my mom and spending time with my in-laws and my grandparents while we're gone.

Anna loves books, and, since dressing up as her for Halloween, has had an obsession with Tinkerbelle. Unfortunately, Tinkerbelle's first meet and greet day was our last day at Disney, and we didn't get to see her. Last night DH and I were at Walmart, and I spotted this book.

Nothing terribly exciting on the outside, but the pop ups are AMAZING!!!!

I'm going to take the book along with us and have Tinkerbelle and the other fairies autograph on the back page. I know DD will be thrill, and she and DD #2 will both be able to enjoy the book because they both love pop ups.

Well, I'm going to head off to bed for the night. Tomorrow I'll post an overview of what our days are going to look like.

Oooo I love your calendar...I need to unpack from our trip home and clean though before I can play with my cricut expression and make ours. Does anna have one specific fave princess? I was going to raid my tradable pins for one to give to you for her from me b/c she is so stinkin' adorable! As is addy, but I'm sure she wouldn't appreciate the pin as much:goodvibes

That's so sweet!!! Her favorite princess in Belle, but she's also a big fan of Tinkerbelle right now. I have some pins to trade this trip too, and I'm kind of excited about it. Anna traded a few while we were there last time, but Adam and I really didn't.

I'm jealous that you have a cricut. I want one, but haven't gotten one yet.....I might have to beg you to make some for me if I do a scrapbook of our trip this time :).

Ok, lets take a look at our schedule for the trip.

Tuesday, January 20
This is our travel day. We'll probably wait until afternoon to leave, and I've promised to come have lunch with Anna at school before we do. We are going to drive to KC and stay at the airport Marriot for the night because of our early flight.

Wednesday, January 21--We're Going to Disney
We fly out of KC 7:00 am and should arrive in Orlando around 10:50. We have a limo scheduled to pick us up. We'll do a quick stop at the grocery store and then make our way to the Contemporary. Then, it's on to the Disney magic!

*1:30 Lunch at the Plaza
*We'll probably run to Downtown Disney and check out the pin store. There's 4 limited edition pens that came out on Jan. 8 that I'd like to get my hands on, and I figure this is the best place.
*7:10 Dinner at Ohana--I'm really excited to try this, but I'm a little nervous because DH and I are NOT adventurous eaters.
*We'll probably just head back to the hotel after this. We have a breakfast ADR the next morning, and we'll probably be tired from getting up early.

Thursday, January 22--Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom
We're going to start our day out at the Animal Kingdom, but I doubt we'll need the whole day there. Plus, this is the only night we could fit Spectromagic into our plans, and I really want to see it.

*8:30 Breakfast at Tusker House--We missed this our last trip, and I really want to see the characters in their Safari gear. I'm not sure how it will be getting there from the Contemporary, so I hope we don't have any problems.
*1:30 Lunch at Yak & Yeti--This was DH's favorite meal on our last trip, and he insisted that we go back. This was ok with me because I wasn't feeling well that day and didn't really get to eat much anyway.
*After this, if we've done everything we want to do here (mostly Expedition Everest), we'll probably head to the Magic Kingdom. Dinner tonight will either be counter service or just a snack because I doubt we'll be very hungry.
*Spectromagic at 7:00

Friday, January 23--Magic Kingdom
Once again, we're starting our day with an early breakfast, this time at Crystal Palace. Pooh and friends are my favorite characters, so I can't pass this one up. Plus, I love getting into the park before it's open. I really want to get some photopass pictures in front of the castle without too many people on Main Street.

*8:00 Breakfast at Crystal Palace
*I can't honestly say how we'll spend this day. We've vowed to do whatever we, as adults, want to do on this trip, so I guess we'll see. We were disappointed that Mickey's Philharmagic will be closed, and DH really wanted to see the Hall of Presidents, but I guess that will have to be saved for next trip. We didn't get to ride Peter Pan last trip (it had ridiculously long lines), so we'll probably try to do that this time.
*5:00 Dinner at CRT--DH really liked my entree here last time, so we're going back so that he can get it himself. Although the food here isn't at the top of my list, I did enjoy the atmosphere. Maybe this time we'll get a table with a better view.
*8:00 Wishes
*There are evening EMH at Epcot tonight.........I'm not sure if we'll go over there or not. We might because we really enjoyed riding Test Track in the dark last trip. I think a lot of rides are just more exciting in the dark........we especially like Splash Mountain in the dark at MNSSHP.

Ok, it's time to pick up the little one from school.......I'll try to post some more later.

You don't have to beg...I'll cut you anything you want as long as I have the cartridge...just tell me what you want when you decide if you want to do the scrapbook and I'll send them in a good envelope so they don't get bent :thumbsup2 My sister cut a bunch of stuff while I was home. It wasn't disney stuff b/c she isn't into disney like me, but I have a holiday cartridge too and she used that one a lot. :goodvibes I think I have some tinkerbell pins...I'll have to check...we have to bust out my tradable pins this week anyways to see how many I have. (he bought them in a lot on ebay quite some time ago. )

If you're willing, I'll definitely do a scrapbook. It will give me something to do during the day while Anna is at school. Plus, Adam likes to take scrapbooks along in his truck if he's going to be gone for a while. Which Disney cartridges do you have?

Your forgot to put in your itinerary that you were going to meet girldreamer02 and her dh hehehe I'm just kidding. :goodvibes Um...now I need to go look to see which ones I have hehe. They were still in the bag up in the loft where my scrap area is. Not only did dh get me the expression and a bunch of cartridges he also got me a bag to put everything in so it hauls around easily! And its pink, which is my fave color! I have the mickey and friends cartridge, mickey font, cartridge, and happily ever after. Thats all I have of disney for now. I'm thinking there is a pooh one, but I can't remember off the top of my head, but if there is trust me I'll be tracking it down pretty soon! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

I did post that somewhere, but I think it was on punkin's trip report :) . Plus, I'm no where near done. Maybe I can get the week finished up after I get the girls in bed tonight.

You have a wonderful DH........that's all I've got to say. I love my DH to death, but I have to say, he's not real great with picking out gifts by himself. He usually just tells me to pick out something that I like and then he gets it for me. It's nice because I get something that I want, but sometimes I think that it would be fun to have a surprise every now and again. I'm pretty sure that I remember seeing a Pooh cartridge ;) . Do you guys have ADRs made, or is that a surprise? Oh, and pink is my favorite color too!

I do have a wonderful Dh, but thank you for saying so! And don't feel bad, while he is great and wonderful at picking out gifts...I totally asked for the cricut and the disney cartridges. Although I have to give him credit...the bag for them was all on him. He gets the gift giving from his father. You should of seen the necklace and ring his dad got for his mom for Christmas. She was balling her eyes out saying she didn't deserve it, but she totally did and they were AMAZING! I was a little jealous then I was like oh yea I got my cricut, which is even more amazing because to be honest I wasn't really expecting it even though I asked for it...I knew in my heart that there could be a good chance I wouldn't get it since we were doing the two week vacation and the only reason I got all the cartridges I did (like ten or so) was a) two came with it and b) they were 20 bucks a piece at michaels the day after thanksgiving so he cleaned them out of whatever he thought I might like. So that was really a life saver for him and lucky for me! And yes there is a pooh cartridge I was just searching around on my fave scrapbook site. Hehe. I'm gonna see what I can do about getting it in the near future...I have a ten dollar credit on the site so we'll see. Okay enough cricut talk. I forgot to tell you that I was totally excited to see sorcer mickey on your trippie b/c he is my fave and wasn't out last year. :( And I didn't think your pics were bad at all of him. I also wanted to suggest trading around the world at epcot. I did it last year and it was a lot of fun. Not only do you get to see each country that way you also get a number of pins too. I did it and it was a lot of fun and plan on doing it again this year. Your more than welcome to check mine out too if I have any left when we meet :rotfl2: I'm a pin trading fool! I should do a pre trippie and take pictures of my cork boards and books. I have an insane amount of pins...dh likes to go on ebay and try to find sets or single pins to complete sets that I started by trading in disney. There are a lot that I think he has bought for himself, but I don't mind. I always joke and say if we need money we could totally ebay our collection, but I don't ever want to see that day. It would be very sad. Princess pins are my favorite! I also like to find hard to find obscure pins. I found one last year that one of the hard core people wanted to trade with me. I was like no thanks...the fact that he wanted it when he had over a thousand pins meant that it had some kind of value and I wasn't about to let it out of my site. Have you ever talked to those guys? They usually hang out in front of the pin trading stations at epcot and downtown disney. They are so freakin' serious that sometimes it bothers me, but I understand its their passion. I got the apartment cleaned and us all unpacked today while dh was at work. I am going to have him make the lines for the countdown calendar and make it tomorrow while he is at work b/c I don't have to work. Tomorrow is a chill day...I worked my tail off today...three suitcases and three bags plus cleaning the apartment from top to bottom. It looks good if I do say so myself. My mother in law said I made her sick b/c of all that I got done. Hehe. Mind you it took me a good chunk of the day I kept stopping to dis and what not. But tomorrow I am going to make the calendar and I'm not sure what else. We do have reservations...I don't know what any of them are, but he has told me. I'll have him email me all the stuff and I'll get back to you:) Sorry I wrote a novel. I'm watching the ohio state game and its rather boring. Hehe.:goodvibes

If I were watching football, I'd be bored out of my mind :rotfl: . Besides, I enjoyed the long post. I wish that I could get more done during the day, but Addy is very much the mommy's girl, and it's difficult to get things done when you have a little person clinging to your leg  . I do try though.......of course, she then usually follows me around and throws out anything that I've picked up.

I can't wait to see your calendar! I bet it will look wonderful.......the scrapbooker creative side of you will take over! I can't believe that he got the cartridges for $20 a piece! When I was looking around, the cheapest that I found was about $49. Of course, we pretty much live in the middle of nowhere, and the closest Michael's in 3 hours away. There is a Hobby Lobby, but even that is 1 1/2 hours away. I didn't shop at all on Black Friday this year........I should have though because some of the things I had already gotten for the girls were on sale. I should have just waited, but I wanted to get my shopping done.

If your DH doesn't want to tell you where you're going, he can just email them to me :) . That way it will still be a surprise for you. We're going to have to try to figure out when the best time to meet up will be.

I'm definitely going to give pin trading a try this time around.....I didn't see any of the hard core guys last trip. Anna just traded with a few CMs. She is pretty shy, so what usually happened was that she would see a pin that she liked on their lanyard, she'd poke me and say, "you ask mommy!", and then I would attempt to encourage her to talk to them. Most of the CMs figured out what was going on about half way through the exchange, and then they'd talk directly to her and try to encourage it. We were kind of running around like crazy people at the pin store at Downtown Disney, and I honestly didn't see anyone trading there. I'll have to keep my eyes open better this time. I'd love to see your pins.

Ok, done with my book now. On to some more of the plans!

Awww I love that addy is a mommy's girl. Its adorable. Its not the same, but perla won't stop bugging me when I am trying to clean so Matt took her to work. I'll be walking through the apartment and she'll be attacking my leg all the way. So she went to work with him today...plus she loves to be at work anyways since thats where she lived for a few months. She has to get boarded when we go to disney...she'll hate us:( Don't worry...one day I'll finally have a baby and then I won't be getting as much done either. Hehe. I don't think he has any ressies as suprises so i'm sure he'll email them to me. He has already told me verbally what we have, but I can't remember b/c I was only half paying attention. We hardly did any shopping on black friday so don't feel bad. We went to two stores and he went to michaels before I was even awake. I miss hobby lobby there is one by my parents house in ohio. All I have here is a.c. moore and michaels. Oh I found three pins I think anna might like. I have a cinderella wearing a blue dress holding flowers, a sunflower with tink next to it and some kind of sparkly fairy one...I'm not sure who she is, but i'll show them to you and if you think anna would like them your more than welcome to them b/c I have around 100 traders not counting those so I don't mind one bit. Well the only football I like is ohio state, but this is a very boring game b/c I'm not huge into football in the first place especially if nothing good is happening. Its only 6-3 ....boring! Hehe. Matt is going to make the lines for the calendar...I am hoping it turns out good tomorrow when I do it. :thumbsup2 Your a super planner...lean mean planning machine hehe. I love it! I like to plan too. I told Matt I want to make shirts this year...we talked about it last yr and for the disneymoon and never did. :( I need to find someone who does cute dis signs and print those babies out! :goodvibes Who do you use? Or do you just go with whomever?

Saturday, Jan. 24--Epcot
Once again, we have an early breakfast reservation so that we can get into the park before opening. We're planning on spending the whole day there, and doing counter service somewhere in the World Showcase for lunch. I'm also hoping to catch Illuminations since we didn't get to see it last time. The one thing that is an absolute must do here, at least for DH, is Mission Space, mostly because we didn't get to ride it last time. He's really excited about it, but I'm mostly just nervous. Admittedly, I'm also looking forward to having some drinks here, especially one of the slushes in France.

*8:30-Breakfast at Askershus
*Counterservice somewhere for lunch........I'm thinking maybe Morrocco
*7:00-Dinner at Teppan--I'm really looking forward to this because I've never eaten any place like this before. As I said, we're not very adventurous eaters, but I've looked at quite a bit of food porn from here, and it looks really good. Hopefully DH will think so too :upsidedow .
*9:00-Illuminations

Sunday, Jan. 25--Free Day
We're planning on sleeping in this day, so no breakfast reservation. It's pretty much our day to do whatever we want. We do have a lunch ADR, but that's it. I think we'll probably go to Downtown Disney today or try to pic up some other things that we didn't get done. It's also evening EMH at Hollywood Studios, and I think it would be fun to ride the Tower of Terror in the Dark, so we might head over there later in the evening.

*11:30 Le Cellier--DH and I both tried the Cheese soup during the Food and Wine festival, and we loved it. So, this is the only other ADR DH actually requested. I'm going to be my picky eater self here and will probably have to order all sauces and everything on the side, but I'm still looking forward to it.
*Probably Downtown Disney in the afternoon
*Possibly evening EMH at Hollywood Studio

take some non-drowsy dramamine about an hour before you guys plan to ride mission space. i did and it didn't bother me at all. you can get it at any drug store. just be sure to get the non-drowsy kind, especially if you'll be drinking around the world at all that day!

the fish and chips at the england CS are good too! just so ya know. ;)

we loved teppan edo - you will too i'm sure! that's coming up very soon in my TR.

oh, and riding ToT at night is awesome! :thumbsup2

I worry about our doggy while we're gone too, but he'll stay with my mom along with the girls, so he'll be ok. She says that we have shared custody anyway :) . Honestly, I had kitties the whole time I was growing up, and I miss them. DH is allergic, but I keep telling him that someday we're going to have them anyway.

I'm sure Anna will be thrilled with any pins you'd like to share with her.......that's so sweet. We'll have to get a picture of you with the pins so she knows they're from you. We'll have to see what the ADRs look like and where you're going to be when. We're actually trying to be more flexible this trip so that we just enjoy ourselves. Also, we have park hoppers (do you?), so we can jump around if need be.

Honestly, the only time that I've enjoyed football is when my nephew played in high school. His senior year, he was homecoming king, and they won the state championship. Watching him, and knowing how excited he was about it made it more fun for me. We even had a sweatshirt made for Anna with his picture on it......we got tons of comments on it.

I've used several different people for DISigns, but some of my favorite are everydaymathchick, kellybell, and donatalie. What I usually do is just go to the DISign thread and look for what I want.......there are stick families, names, specific characters, etc and then post on their thread asking for whatever personalization I want. I'll post some of the ones we're using this trip once I get the whole itinerary up. My personal favorite is the stick families (like the ones we wore on our very first day on the October trip).

take some non-drowsy dramamine about an hour before you guys plan to ride mission space. i did and it didn't bother me at all. you can get it at any drug store. just be sure to get the non-drowsy kind, especially if you'll be drinking around the world at all that day!

the fish and chips at the england CS are good too! just so ya know. ;)

we loved teppan edo - you will too i'm sure! that's coming up very soon in my TR.

oh, and riding ToT at night is awesome! :thumbsup2

I'll have to pick up some dramamine and try that.......honestly, it's the only ride that really worries me that way. Tower of Terror gets to me everytime to, but I've done it before, so I know what to expect. We really loved Splash Mountain in the dark, and I couldn't believe the difference it made. I always tell DH that I will ride ToT once each trip with him (because it freaks me out), but he said that if I want to ride it in the dark, I'll have to ride it twice this trip :scared1: .

I may make DH order something different than me for lunch at WS so that we can try several things.....I'll have to keep the fish and chips in mind.
