February Magical Family Adventures!!~ LAST DAY!! (6/5)

Just a reminder to everyone going soon. Today is the first day that T-Rex is taking ADR's!!! I am proud to say that I called this morning and was able to snag a ressie for dinner on evening. He told me it is "priority seating" but that it is first come first serve :confused3 . Perhaps if you make an ADR you get better seating but it is first come first serve within that?? This is what I'm assuming. Doesn't really matter to us as long as we have an ADR. DS might freak out if we are seated right next to a dino anyway. :lmao:

If you want more info on T-Rex you can visit their web site here: www.trexcafe.com

Ok on to the "Disney Gear" portion of this update. I haven't posted pictures of the goods that we got DS for Christmas. Here are some of the cool sweatshirt hoodies, long sleeve shirt, and some light up Lightning McQueen tennis shoes. My mom got him the toy story hoodie and the long sleeve shirt. We got him the other stuff.

I also got myself some cute tennis shoes with Tink on them. As well as a personalized toiletries bag.

Yesterday I ordered a couple of fleece sweat shirts for myself since I only have 2 Disney long sleeve type shirts left. The others that I had either shrunk or are showing wear waaay to early. DH has plenty of shirts and now so does DS. I will show you what I got when they come in.

I'M SO EXCITED THAT OUR TRIP IS GETTING SO CLOSE!! Mine and DH's Anniversary Dinner is this Saturday night. I can't wait to give him his present.

Oh, I almost forgot.... In November DS's school had their annual auction fundraiser. We bid on a helecopter ride around the city and WON!! If the weather holds up DH, DS, and I will be taking that ride this Saturday during the day. I will be sure to take lots of pictures. Reminder.....I am really scared to fly. I've never flown in an airplane. I've only flown in a helecopter once when i was around 11 or 12 years old. They had helecopter rides at our local fair one year and my dad took me and my sister. I bid on this at the auction because I sort of know what to expect from a helecopter ride. I just thought that maybe if I get back in the air then it won't be quite as scary when we do decide to fly somewhere one day.

I just called and the cm told me they were not taking ADR's for Trex. I told her I knew someone who got ADR and she said no they don't do that. How did you get the ADR?

I'm sorry, I just realized that I didn't say this.... T-Rex is not on the dining plan and Disney is not doing their ADR's. You have to call the restaurant directly. The phone number is on the website. :thumbsup2

I figured that out and I called and got it. YEA!!!!! Thank you so much for posting this information. Brennan is going to be so excited. I hope Grace doesn't freak out. I bought her some Dinosar books. How do dinosars clean their rooms and such. I hope it helps her to not be scared.

Yay!! So glad you got it.
Oh my gosh, DS has those same dinosaur books!! He has almost all of them except maybe 1 or 2. There are lots of them. We started off with How Do Dinosaur's say goodnight. At 2 years old he could recite the entire book. One night I said, why don't you read it to me instead? He gladly took the book and proceeded to say every word. He even knew when to turn the page. DH was not home so I ran to get the video camera. :rotfl2:

Love all the Disney clothes -- especially those Tink tennis shoes! Did you get them from the website recently?

Yes I got them right before Christmas so they may still be there. If they aren't on the regular portion of the web site, then check the outlet portion. :thumbsup2

Grace loves books. I think she is starting to memorize books too. She pretends to read and she says a word or two that she can and it is something that is really on that page. I forgot to mention that I love all the disney stuff you bought. I might try to get Brennan a hoodie if they have any left. I am off to check.

I'm all caught up! :cool1:

Reading your PTR is helping me get some info for my own trip. ;)

You've had more snow in Louisiana than we've had here in MD - haven't had enough to measure and it's only fallen from the sky like once.

I may have to check out the T-Rex Cafe. :thumbsup2

Cool about the helicopter ride! :cool1:

The kids stuff is so much cooler than the adult clothes on disney shopping...i know because I was trying to take advantage of their sale and found NADA I liked. I do have to ask how much was the toiletry bag- LOVE that!

We were going to try out T-Rex, but since we are now staying on-site and doing the dining plan we are going to skip it this year. I'm sure it'll be there next time we visit - we'll save it for when we are paying out of pocket. Plus - 7 restaurants will probably be too many for our kids to sit through. :rolleyes1

DS loves books too now. He never really wanted to sit still for a book until we started getting the dinosaur books. That's why we have so many. :rotfl: I'm sure they still have the hoodies, I ordered it right before Christmas.

The little bit of snow we had was enough for me. It wasn't the nice powdery kind that I long to see one day. It was the wet slushie stuff.

I bet your boys would love T-Rex!

Great Gear Blue !! I will fly but a helicopter NOWAY!!! You have fun and post lots of pix !!
Thanks Rosie.
:rotfl: That's what a lot of people have been telling me....I'm crazy to do the helecopter.

The kid stuff is WAY cooler. I'm with you on not being able to find anything. I pretty much just settled with what I got. I didn't really want it. There just isn't anything to choose from. Not sure what's up with that! But I'm not liking it. The bag I got during the Christmas sale for around $12. Now it's $24.95!!! http://disneyshopping.go.com/disney...s-&-Totes-Create-Your-Own-Disney-Toiletry-Bag

I can't wait to hear how you like the new TRex restuarant.
:welcome:
I plan on taking lots of pictures so stick around!! :thumbsup2

I'm glad we are to the point of DS sitting still long enough for a meal. Now that's with just us. If you throw another kid in the mix, I can not guarantee the same results. :lmao:

Congrats on the helicopter ride. Pray for good weather...:thumbsup2

I'm excited for your trip and eventual TR....;)
