driving to parks

We are heading back to WDW for President's Day Week. This will be our first off-site stay in 19 years. We are staying at Orange Lake, which I guess is just about 4 miles outside the Epcot entrance. Can anyone offer any suggestions to getting to the parks? Where to park our car? How best to move from one park to another if we decide to hop from one to another? Any help is appreciated!! Thanks in advance.

The last few years we have stayed off site and we just park our car at the park we are going to for the day. We have always gone during the off season and have almost always gotten a very close spot. We do always arrive before rope drop. If we go to another park that day we generally drive and re-park. It really does not take very long to do this. Remember again though that we have never gone during a vacation week. You can also take the monorail between Epcott and Magic Kingdom or other available transportation and then return at the end of the day to where your car is. If you have any other questions let me know.

Honestly, we prefer to drive our own car in over the disney transporation. Especially since we now have little ones and I would hate having to lug a double stroller onto any bus!

We stay onsite, but always rent a car. It is such a valuable convenience for us and we do not care for Disney transportation.

Since you are staying off-site you will need to pay for daily parking, which is $12.00 a day. But if you park hop, you only need to pay once per day, your pass is good all day at any of the parks.

Parking and traveling at WDW is very easy. Once on property there is very good signage to guide you to your destination.

If you are park hopping, I would suggest parking at the park you will end your day at and then traveling between parks using Disney Transportation. Every park has some form of transportation to get you from one to another. It could be a bus, monorail or watercraft and getting there is half the fun.
