Sorry, like Hildasmuriel I'm back too although only just back home and with internet access.
Don't think I'll have time to write a proper trippie for a while so here are a few highs and lows:
Highs:
Despite hearing how awful it was going to be we easily got in on Saturday lunchtime, and in fact they were selling tickets at the ticket windows. The only time the park closed to new arrivals was on Sunday 21st for a few hours in the afternoon. Since we were at the Steakhouse brunch and then going in to the Studios it didn't affect us.
The queues for many things were bad, but we had taken this into account and arranged our day accordingly. We got on everything we wanted to, although some things, like POTC, only once.
I do agree that the park is much better decorated at Halloween, and I also don't think I'll be going back again just before Christmas. But it did feel magical, and Father Christmas was just wonderful, well worth the hour's wait. We all agreed he was the REAL Father Christmas.
The Holiday Inn was fine, and no problems with the shuttles either, and I generally don't do shuttles.
We got to meet Hildasmuriel (lots!) and Mummyal.
The christmas market was an interesting extra.
You could actually buy fruit (clementines) in Belle's Christmas Village!
The weather was amazingly mild most of the time.
The children had a large amount of Xmas money to spend so we didn't have to buy them presents using our own money, LOL! DD got Giselle's gorgeous ballgown so i must post a pic of it. Something I would never have spent 70 euros on myself but MIL will love it and DD will wear it all the time.
LOWS:
Not Disney's fault of course, but everything was so expensive.
We didn't see many characters around the park at all, much less than usual except at official meet n greets. Perhaps it was just too full and they would have been mobbed. Since we don't bother with autographs and photos at these scrums it didn't bother me but it is nice to see them. They were still in the studios however.
Too many cigarettes at my children's eye level.
The usual queue-jumping....stopped to some extent by our spread-out queue tactics!!
Overall we had a lovely time and it was a wonderful surprise for the children.
Am rather hoping for a better exchange rate in May though!

It was lovely to meet you, eventhough it was only a quick hello! Glad you had a great time. Can't wait to see a pic of your DD in her Giselle dress!
