I froze when Ariel spoke to me ~ Update 7/21!!!

OMG I love your trip report. My sissy and I are best friends and separated at the time too She is doing the Disney college program and I'm still in school. I just saw her last week, but I started tearing up when you said that you guys hugged during the fireworks. Also I like your idea of bringing a photographer with you, I mean your sister's bf lol. It's great though with the photopass people, you still get a lot of great pictures if you just have a sister trip. I'm glad the three of you had such a fun trip!

I enjoyed reading this. I am a lonely, I mean only child, so i can't relate. But I have 3 girls and I hope they are BFF. They are really close now (especially the younger 2), I jsut hope they always are.

My DH wears a Grumpy fanny pack too (not the same one though). And he also got picked at Laugh floor (the girls loved this). Lots in common... (He was a soldier for a number of years too.)

And my favorite movie (and Princess) is Ariel as is my DH and youngest DD. We named her after Ariel for her middle name and oe of Ariel's sisters for her first name. We love meeting her there and DD6 loves to tell Ariel her name. No matter which "Ariel" we meet she is always flattred that we named DD after her and her sister.

We always meet her in her grotto, but this trip we added dinner at Akerhaus to see her with her legs. That was fun.

So I am in the middle of finals and don't have time for a real update so I will just cover a few quick things I forgot.....


= one of the most amazing things in my life. Can't wait to have more! I even saved the wrapper for my scrapbook!

= 3 D glasses that they have there, supercool that they clean them each show. I am a super germ phobe and Disney does and AMAZING job of making people like me feel good in their parks!

I don't know if I'd say he LOVES Disney, he likes it but he loves me. And Mermaids...

He's a great guy and a great sport. Plus, her name is beautiful, people ask us all the time where we got it and she pipes in..."I was named after Ariel and one of her sisters!!!"

Ok so this is officialy the big sister, to all the people who say munchkin and I are cute thank you. To my lovely sister trip report is wounderful but could have left out some of the bad pictures. And just a note I was mad at the front desk on the first day because I had called multiple times the week before to make sure everything was perfect and was reassured it was. To make up for the mistake and time delays though they gave us a $100 credit on our room which we did not ask for. Munchkin I am very proud of you and lucky to have you as my little sister. I will see you in 6 days and counting....

So we head to the world Show Case! First stop, Canada!!!!
I should say that we, being me, live in Maine, but I have only been to Canada once, and it didn’t look like this where I was!

We continued around and watched a street show in The United Kingdom.

So funny, and our “king” as very into his role, sort of…….

About this time I started to whine, I mean get hungry, so we headed back to Sunshine Seasons for some lunch. The line for living with the Land at this point was SUPER long and I was glad we had already been there. I think I had the double cheeseburger, they were good everywhere, so it was my standby.

We headed back to the World Show case and on our way we met:

He has a stamp to sign books! From what I hear here on the DIS though it is a very good thing we saw him this trip, I guess he no longer does meet and greets.


We stopped at Coke’s Cool Spot and yes I tried the Beverly . I won’t be getting a bottle of that to drink anytime soon!!!!!!

Now back to the countries!!!!!!

OR NOT!!!!!

My sister realizes that we need to head back to the Innoventions to do the Disney Visa meet and greet! We get there and there is only one family in line, so we wait, and wait. At first I was like wow this is taking forever, but that means they are spending a TON of time with each family.

We get to the front of the line……. We walk into the room and

This was such a great experience. I would tell anyone to get the card just so you can get into this meet and greet. The characters spend a ton of time with you, the photo pass guy will take about 10000000000000 pictures, and the line is so much shorter then at the character connection.

Now back to the World Show Case


We go strait to France, as we had seen the other 3 countries that morning.

As we walk into France who do we see coming into the garden?

And here I am looking at her like she is nuts.

So one thing I didn’t know about Jeff, Jeff loves himself some princess. Every time I met a princess, Jeff had to have his turn next. It was great.

Right in front of us was a very funny couple about my sister’s age. They were super funny, and we saw them again a few moments later.


We explore around a little, and then see Belle and the Beast come out! So we jump in line behind the could we had just seen over at Sleeping Beauty!

Belle was the sweetest funniest princess we met the whole trip.
I made Andy go with me on this one, the beast freaked me out just a little.

Bell asked me where my prince was, I had to tell her I had left him at home. I told her that the boy with us was my sister’s prince.

We got Jeff in on this picture, Bell said “you can stand next to my beast” to Jeff. The beast then wanted to know where Jeff’s hair was

That is why his hand is on Jeff’s head.

This is where I got confused. I thought she was handing it to me. Nope. Then she put it is salt and moved it to me so I could see, and once again I though she was handing it to me!

I chose to have it put in a cage so we went and looked around the large shop! I found some cute stickers for a friend back home. We walked outside and saw the candy lady from a distance, and then went back to get my pearl!




Onward to the American Adventure!!!

We wandered around and went into the building, where we met a man who was in an EVC. He insisted we sit on the floor in a certain place. We thought we was kinda crazy but didn’t want to be rude so we did. Once the Voices of Liberty came in and started to sing we were very thankful to him!!

My sister and Jeff had never caught this show and we were all blown away by the singers. I have a passion for American history so this entire stop was one of my favorite.

We followed the crowed and watched the show, wonderful! We leave the show and wander around. I find a red-white-blue Micky head pen for the boyfriend. I loved the shop, and wanted to stop back in later.

We are walking away and we look down a ally way only to see characters with no line!!!!!

Once again I am whining, meaning hungry so we head to Germany so they can have beer and I can have a snack! YAY for snack credits!

Now don’t ask why but the Teddy Bar is now a running joke between Jeff and I. They have returned to the world since our trip together and I told Andy to give Jeff the phone, and we talked about the Teddy Bar.

We wandered around all the shops and had a fun time looking at everything. At this point it is getting late and I decided right then that our last park day, which is an extra will be spent here. Sis told me that AK can be done fully and easily in a day and that I could choose where to spend the last day. I didn’t want to rush the rest of the countries so we decided to come back.

We head out of Germany and see this guy. The line is too long so I snap a picture on the run.

We saw the show I was happy and we moved on.

When I say moved on, we jumped in line to meet

This was the rudest mom we ran into. There was a mom in front of us in the line and she was horrible. She cut people and just was nasty. I mean really we are at Disney world, do you need to be nasty?

Andy asked me if I was getting hungry for dinner, and of course I was. She asked me what I wanted to eat. I knew there was princess dinning here, but having read a little on the DIS I knew it would be full, so I said lets see if we can get into the French restaurant. But she wanted to head to Norway first to ride the log ride.

Norway, and yes I made fun of the way the voice in the ride says Norway.

Troll picture.

The troll was very special to us. We lost our stepfather about a year and half before the trip and he collected trolls like the ones we saw in the shop. It was a little upsetting, but at the same time a great memory of Russ.

We rode the log ride, running to get away from the movie at the end! We walked out and stared heading toward France. We got to America and Andrea decides she wants to ride the Norway ride again. WHAT are you kidding me I am starving!
