Looking for some places to eat offsite as well. Favorite is Mexican food but also maybe a CiCi's pizza for the kids. Also welcome your favorites!

There is so many great restruants on-site,but if you did venture off-site Ci-Ci's is a great bargain!!

But if you really want A Reatruant you will not ever forget then here is a website Thats on the area of SandLake and I-Drive.Maybe 2miles from Universal:
Cant bring up the website but its called Texas de Brazil!!!

One of my favorite places near Universal is Bubbalou's...they have GREAT bbq and you get a lot for the money. It's not a huge place but a fun place just the same. They are located in the Kirkman Oaks Shopping Center which is about 10 mins drive time from the resort. Check out the website for more: www.bubbalous.com

Also...if you're in the mood for a great sandwich, you should check out Firehouse Subs which is located just next to Bubbalou's.

I've never heard of that place. Thanks for the website. Sounds like its all-you-can-eat. Do you pay one price to enter and then eat what you want, like a buffet?

Not quite a buffet. They do have a "salad bar" like a buffet but the main course is brought to you to your table. Imagine the meat carver guys you see at Golden Corral coming around at your table but waaaay better quality of meats and cuts like every few minutes. I just made reservation for 12/22 so hopefully this place doesnt dissappoint me. I love other Brazillian steakhouse like this.

Texas de Brazil is my nr 1 choice when we eat offsite.
It's fabulous!!!!
We also like Outback Steakhouse
Bahama's Breeze
Houlihans
Kobe
And when the budget is getting low TGI!!!!:goodvibes

It was so great when we went, the servers walking by with the meat on sword like skewers carving the size you want and non stop the taste is incredible. So is the whole restaraunt. But for all that quality and food you get be prepared to pay around $45 per person plus drinks!!
Between my wife and I with drinks and tip it was around $130!!But to me worth every penny!!

The website dont give it justice. The atmosphere and music is very festive yet romantic!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We love Bahama Breeze, usually visit it a few times when in Florida, and have never been disappointed.
Metro West, i found this site by accident about Bubbalous, and have it on my list for next year, any recommendations on what to get.

I remember when we went back in 06, I'm pretty sure you had to make a reservation. The price then was $40 a head, and you have a double sided card, one side red and the other is green. When you flip it green, you are opening yourself up for some amazing cuts of the finest meat. If you turn it red, then they will stop bringing up any more cuts to your table.

There is a buffet, a very good one too. It's very worth the price in my opinion :thumbsup2

Thanks for the responses. I'm definitely adding it to eat list for a future trip.

have u eaten @ CiCi's before? do your kids like it?

while i realize pizza is a subjective taste issue, i wouldn't call the grub @ our local branch 'good', nor even edible:confused3

it's only one in chain we've tried, maybe just hit them on a off-night?popcorn::

We have eaten at a local one in Virginia Beach and it was fine. It's just a pizza buffet, so I wasn't expecting some great pizza. we have a little local place for that. YUM!
