Rechargeable Batteries?

I am looking to purchase some rechargeable batteries for my digital camera. The camera takes two AA batteries. Any ideas on which ones work the best?

I *believe* we have the Energizer Rechargeables at home, for the AA batteries only (they're green and silver). I **love** them, since I have to have AA's for my keyboard and mouse and camera and the Wii controllers and DD's camera etc etc etc LOL They recharge in about 15 minutes and you can do 4 at a time. The batteries themselves are expensive, but I've had the ones I have for a couple of years now and they don't show any signs of slowing down! :D

We have the Duracell ones for our camera. It's a Sony Powershot s5 and I take almost a 1000 pics before I have to recharge. I've been quite impressed with them. We didn't have to recharge the whole week at Disney.

We also have the Energizer rechargeables with the quick charge charger and love them. They charge in a very short time (I think less than 15 min). I love that convenience but with that comes that fact that they will need to be replaced sooner than if we charged them slowly. I willing to replace them more often (I'm just now replacing batteries that we've used for the last 3 1/2 years) for the convenience of having them ready quickly.

I just realized that what I typed is probably confusing. They last a long time in the camera but over time, the batteries will no longer hold a charge because of "quick charging" them. I hope that makes sense.

I've had Duracell for a couple of years and absolutely LOVE  them. I use them in my Olympus camera and I take lots of pics before re-charging. I've bought more since my DDs are getting a Wii from Santa and I'd rather use these batteries than getting the dock station.

They are more expensive but they are worth the money in the long run!

I don't know which ones are better as I've only used Duracell, but I got mine from Staples when they are on sale & used a Staples coupon for extra savings. I was able to buy extra this way, as others have said they really don't hold a charge as long (as non-rechargable batteries,) & this way they can be swapped out for a freshly charged pair.

We have Energizers too, they are great!! We also have the quick charger. :)

Love my energizer's too!!

But make sure they are lithium batteries or they are useless in a digital camera :)

Have fun, and take lots of pics!!

I have the quick charge Duracell batteries. They hold their charge for months and take minutes to recharge. I use them in my camera and they lasted for days between charges.

I've had success with both Energizer & Duracell rechargeables -- good call on using them with your digital camera...

Energizer Lithium Ion - I go for the ones in the 2500 range for maximum usage in my dSLR. Took over 2,200 pictures in WDW last week and only changes batteries once (uses 4 at a time). That is very little flash use, however. Any time you use flash a lot it will suck batteries dry.

We have both Energizer and Duracell, both seem to be holding up equally well. I would not recommend any store brands (i.e. WalMart) They would not recharge after several uses.

Another Energizer fan here!

Some of our kids' favorite toys are still running on the original batteries we put in them a few years ago. Its totally true that they keep going and going and going! :)

(where's the bunny icon when you need it? LOL)

I think you are better off with lithium batteries. they last a long time much longer than my rechargeable ones.
