just a quick side note: i haven't responded to any of the posts because i'm busy getting ready to go to disney tomorrow and i have SO MUCH to do! so sorry, erica - i don't mean to put all that on you but i wanted to get this installment done.

so after we met pooh and eeyore in their supercute halloween costumes, we headed back towards the castle to see the villians mix and mingle show. we had actually seen this at least once before but i didn't realize that you could actually MEET the villians, so we went back so i could meet the BEST VILLIAN EVER....MALEFICENT!!!!

after the show the villians come down to the area where everyone is to "mingle." here she is....comin our way!

i had seen where her line formed from the show before so i knew where to be to meet her. i think we were the second people in line. when i walked up to her i told her she was my favorite villian and she said, "of course, darling." then i told her she could come to my party any time (she never gets invited to any parties!) and she said, "yes, my dear, that would be a wise decision on your part." SHE ROCKED SO HARD!!!!!

next we decided to meet the snow queen from snow white. erica snapped a couple of castle pics while we waited....

the snow queen was so cold and snooty! she looked at our mickey dooley-boppers and said, "we're really going to have to do something about those crowns."

jafar was next. he didn't say anything, just put his hands together and tapped his fingers impatiently.

while we were waiting in line for captain hook we noticed that the guy from the hunchback of notre dame didn't have a line and was just walking around. i kinda felt bad for him! no one wanted to meet him! so i went over to take a picture....

then erica did the same....

next was one of my other favorties, captain hook! always the gentleman....

after we took the pictures i told him to look at erica's necklace (she had on her tink necklace) and when he saw it he turned his head the other way and "shooed" us away. when he turned back around erica dangled at him again and he was not happy!

we had time to meet one more villian and we decided on cruella deville. she was really crazy looking!

after we took the picture she goes, "well, i would love to hear your life story, but i just don't have the time. GET OUTTA HERE!"

after the villians left, we headed back towards fantasyland to ride dumbo before we left. on the way.....

after dumbo it was time to start heading towards the exit. midnight had come!

i don't remember why but we went through liberty square to leave. the liberty tree looked so pretty all lit up!

this huge mickey ghost was on the lawn in front of the castle!

we stopped on the way out to get a couple of photopass pics....i love the coloring of these!

and one more time without the mickey dooley-boppers!

main street was just gorgeous, as always.....

as we were walking along somehow we started talking to this balloon vendor and he offered to take a picture with me!

then he took the balloons and put them down around my head. i love this picture!

i think he caught one of the balloon strings on her earring! don't worry - she was okay. he said that had actually happened to him before!

i thought this window display was so cute!

we stopped at the emporium on the way out for a few things. erica fell in love with this....

then we saw the blues brothers!

we had parked at the contemporary so we were just gonna walk back there to the car. on the way we got behind these party-goes. yes, this girl actually wore this to the MAGIC KINGDOM with kids everywhere. what was she smoking???? she dropped something at one point and i actually saw a cheek and it wasn't on her face.

back to pop for us to go to bed. i think it was about 12:30 at that point and we had a day at AK tomorrow, so we were beat and needed to get to bed! on the way up the steps i made a friend....

if you know me well, you know i LOVE frogs! especially tree frogs. ray and i had all kinds of frogs for awhile (before we got the doggies). anyway, i picked him up, which i think kinda freaked out erica a little bit, and then he peed on me and jumped out of my hand! that's what i get for bugging him, i guess! he landed on the steps....

here i am talking to my new friend.....yes, i'm weird.

mr. frog followed us all the way up to the second floor and then disappeared. i hope he caught a lot of bugs that night!

next up......a day with the animals!

I love the pictures with the villians. I wish we had gotten to see that show when we were there. I also love the story about the tree frog. I definitely wouldn't have had the guts to pick him up, but the last year I was working before DD #2 was born, I worked with a science teacher who had a passion for snakes. He had about 20 of them in the classroom, and sitting in there every day at least got me over my fear of creepy crawling things . He even got DD #1 to hold one once.........of course, she only did it because the snake was pink (it was an albino).

I needed a laugh like that tonight! Safe travels to WDW and I really hope that I see you while we're both in the parks. I can assure you the only cheeks you'll be seeing are most definitely on my face!

OT I know but I have to ask this group of southern football fans.

What are people's feelings on Auburn hiring Chizek as their new coach? I am from Iowa orginally and grew up an ISU fan and I am wondering what in the world Auburn was thinking? He has only been at ISU for 2 years, has a terrible record and has lost the last 10 games in a row! I personally don't care he is leaving Iowa State, we could really use a decent coach but honestly, from ISU to Auburn is a step up, how in the world did he do that with his track record?

YUCK!! I really know nothing aout Chizek but was REALLY mad they pushed out Tuberville

College football is going this way but the SEC has seemed to be espeically bad this year. Go back and look at Tuberville's past 10 years or so...not so shabby. And honestly there really weren't that many coaches in the 'pool' this year to go after. Not many of them wanted to make a move.

Crooms at Miss. State also left. He resigned right after the season was over and he was the SEC coach of the year last year

I'm sure Bama fans are happy, b/c Tuberville had beaten them more times than not the last several years and they as well as all of us know someone else isn't going to do that much better

I'm just glad we are going to be able to hang on to Johnson. And Vanderbilt seems to be (and should be) very content with him. It's just nice to have someone for several years now and not have the turnover we had in the 90's
