DDA Weight Loss Progress Thread

My Goal: lose 25 lbs

My Plan:
Exercise: a minimum of 10 minutes per day
Diet: Low Carb

Progress:
1/1/06: 154 lbs.
1/8/06: 148 lbs. down 6 lbs. :banana:
1/15/06: 147 lbs. only 1 lb this week.
3/14/06: 157 lbs. I have really messed up and gained 10 lbs. :sad:
4/5/06: 150 lbs. Back on track and feeling good.
4/10/06: 148 lbs. :cool1:


This was my goals back in January of 2006. Very similar to my goals for 2009. So it is time for a big update. I know that I've got 2007 and 2008 posts in there, but since I'm getting back to basics, I went back to the start of this thread and I'll update from there.

I'm doing the weight watchers program using old materials. My DH is doing it with me. No meetings and No online WW groups, just us.

1/1/09 158.6 lbs
2/1/09 151.6 lbs down 7 lbs, have not started exercising yet.

Started 1/5/09. So far I am down 18 lbs as of today.

I have much farther to go but I am positive that I can continue eating healthy. I had some major challenges this weekend as we were traveling & I did not let eating out deter me from my goal. I stayed on WW's even at IHOP! :thumbsup2

I will keep myself accountable too.

I have broken the 150 lb threshold and I have started a regular workout plan. I have no more cards to play so hopefully this huge effort pays off in spades :wizard:
 
Hi everyone! I am really going to set my mind & do this.

First Goal: Lose 10 pounds by March 1st
Second Goal: Lose another 20 pounds by Dec. 1st

I am going to watch what I eat & curb the sweets. I will also drink more water. I will try to start walking more for exercise & then once I lose some weight, I will concentrate more on exercising.

I want to be able to fit into my smaller clothes & not cringe when I look at myself in the mirror. I tell everyone that I am happy with myself & this is me. But I am not & I need to quit trying to kid myself.

I am quoting myself here as a reminder to me how proud I was for losing this weight. I am now back on track & my official weigh in will be on Mondays. It is sad to say but I know I have gained at least 20 of these pounds back :sad2: I am embarrassed & ashamed with myself for letting this happen. The other night a light finally went off in my head & I realized that I had to get control again. So here I am & I hope the rest of you will join in with me!

Janet I'm glad that you are back on track. Chris and I have had a setback since all the sickness hit our house. We will be getting back on track starting Monday. We want to wait until after Easter as we are having a big family dinner at Noon on Sunday.

We have already planned a trip to Disney in January 2010. I want to lose 45 pounds before I go. I've lost it in the past but gained it right back. It would be nice having others as a support group.

What do you do to keep going???

Of course you can join. Welcome aboard.

What do I do to keep going?...I just look in the mirror and that tends to be motivation enough. I am also currently a life guard so having to be in a swimsuit on a daily basis in front of my entire community is also pretty good motivation.
 
Hi, all! I'm going to join you.

I have A LOT to lose, but I'm going to only worry about the first 22 lbs right now. I need to start slow and focus on making lifestyle changes instead of burning myself out and quickly reverting to my unhealthy ways.

Last week my goals were to start writing down everything that I ate, gain some control of my eating, and drink my water. I am using my old WW materials, so I'm also counting points. I have had a good week so far. I started last Tuesday, so I'll weigh in tomorrow.

This week's goals:
1. Continue with the food journals and stay within points
2. Continue water
3. Add 30 minutes of exercise/day (without worrying about intensity at this point)

I will check in on Tuesdays, so please feel free to PM me a kick in the pants if you see a Tuesday or two slip by without me posting.

I know that feeling! You can do it! I've found that writing it all down makes me think before I eat something.

I almost didn't weigh in this morning. I was debating waiting another week, since everything is going well, and I didn't want anything to discourage that.

I lost 6 pounds. I know that it's all water. I have a lot too lose, too, so I'll probably lose faster at the beginning. In any case, I'm really happy about that!
