If this were your situation, what loop would you ask for?

We're camping in a camper van and pop up camper. We'll be staying in the pop up and my brother and spouse will be staying in the camper van- here's the situation:

1) Scenario A - we do not find a replacement for our pet sitter who bailed on us today (that's right, a week before we leave ) and have to take the dog with us so we need a pet site, near a comfort station, not too rowdy so the dog won't bark.

2) Scenario B- We do find a replacement sitter and would like to be near the ferry boat, comfort station, not too close to others so they don't hear us bickering in the pop up ~grin~

Last Question:
Would you leave your dog alone in the camper van while you ferried over to MK for 2-3 hours? Of course we would leave the air conditioner on and just in case the A/C broke (yes, I am a worry wart), we could leave the Fantastic Vent on and the two side sliding screen windows open.

Yes or no?

We have made reservations at the kennel already but for a short trip, would you do the above?

I don't see a problem with either idea. But, are the screen windows small enough that your fur baby can't push their way out? Also, you may request a site location but there is no guarantee you will get that requested site.

Depends on the dog, is he/she use to camping and use to being alone ?
Loop 300 is a pet loop and close to the marina.
Loop 100 & 200 are also close but not pet loops.
Yes, we leave our pup alone in the camper, I'm not sure about the windows like Brad said can he/she get out or will he/she bark.
There is a kennel at the Fort you can use also, for when you are at the parks.

Thanks for the tips ya'll, I did book the kennel and I had to laugh at the thought of my 125 pound dog trying to squeeze out of one of the 8" high slider windows

If he tried REALLY hard, he might be able to get his nose out ~grin~

Looks like we have a replacement sitter after all AND we figured out how to light the water heater without blowing anything up. We're on a roll now!

All I can recommend is to confine the dog where it can't see out and leave no windows open from a potential noise issue and put some sort of background noise on in the camper to mask the outside noises that might cause your pet to bark.

At times there are people out walking past a site every 10 min or so and if your pet hears/sees them and goes nuts they can be a source of almost constant nuisance to others close to you.
