High HO High HO the euro is so low :( pre-trippie last minute update

So we dont go for more then 6 weeks but, I am so excited I just had to do our Pre-Trip Report! So this is our 2nd DLRP trip (3rd Disney trip) in 6 months, how lucky am I? LOL!! But this will be our last trip for along time as we are planning and saving for our WDW happily ever after
and disneymoon

Before I start our pre trip report I really wanted to tell you abou Daves Christmas present I borrowed JanJanMary idea of a balloon in a box i managed to find a Buzz Lightyear balloon online (have helium left over from a party this year so that is sorted), toy story postcard (with cant wait to see you), a Woody hoody (I had designed), a toy story scarf I searched high and low for lol, Disney park maps and a few euros (I am going to make a disney money slip for the euros) I am so excited about this i havent told any one apart from you lot so it will be a surprise to every one on christmas morning

So abit about us

Leanne (Me) I take full responsibility for converting Dave to a disney fan this is my double digit trip DLRP

Dave (DFi) Is Toy Storys number one fan and goes on all the big rides even though he dislikes them all for me

When we are going

19th January till 22nd January

looking forward to no being as busy as August

Stayin in

Sequoia Lodge

Dave doesn't know but I am upgrading to a Montana room with lake view (When I upgrade I am also going to ask nicely if they have any balcony rooms)

Dinning

We were going to pay half board but where we want to eat I don't think it would be worth it. I have chosen all the restruants LOL

Rainforest Cafe Last place we ate in WDW

Auberge Similar to Cinderella Royal table where we got engaged (this will also be a suprise i really wanted to book it for 21st (which is a Wednesday) and for 5pm but they are shut on a wednesday in low season and don't take booking at 5pm so will have to re-think this)

Buffalo Bills wanted to do this for years and this year we are.

Pizza Planet tea party dave being a huge fan and everything what could be better but have read on here it is no longer

Other plans

I would really like to go in to Parison an evening to take a walk together and see the eiffel tower (I am still looking in to this and not sure what day as will depend on weather when we are there unfortunatly as we all now that is something you cant plan )

Parks

Plan to take thousands of photos together because we dont actually have a lot together and just really enjoy spending time together

I think that is every thing I will update if any thing changed like we win the lottery and upgrade to DLPH with all those other lucky people we wont be flying wit easy jet either

Its just our bad experience with a dreadful waiter, the food was cold, ended up waiting far too long so we won't be eating there... Some people on the board have had a great experience so sorry if I spoilt it for you.

LOL its fine I'd rather be warned I like it because it's quiet cheesy and I don't know if DLRP but WDW have the greatest bar stools in Rainforest Cafe

We have been to some restruants and been so disapointed have complained and not had to pay and will never return where some of our best friends are regulars there i think it does just depend alot on service

I want to say that we've been to the Rainforest Cafe in DLRP twice and its one of our favourites.... We absolutely love it there!

So i still havent thought of a good name so that isnt't my update LOL!!

We have decided with the exterme drop in the euro we are going to stay in the Santa Fe as we would rather have the extra money to go towards doing things when there. So i cant upgrade our room for a surprise for Dave so Ill have to think of something else :S

Also I wanted to mention when we booked our hotel package

We booked online and filled in all the details and the website denied my card I knew the amount was in there as it was pay day and had only just checked the bank. So mum said she would put it on her credit card and i could just get the money out and pay it back to her so that was all ok. I went to the bank to get some money out and as i checked my balance the amount had gone from my account balance so you can imagine what i was thinking i just paid for same holiday twice so i went back and rang disney straight away and the nice man told me this happens all the time and we shouldnt worry well im sory but a HUGE company like disney you think that they would have it sorted i know it might sound like im ranting but the price of a hotel isnt something i can just have missing out of my bank balance for 3 working days i just wanted to know had it happened to any of you before?

I have heard of it happening before to some people. I think the problem is when booking online is that it is in France that you are booking & sometimes the bank put a block on the purchase incase of fraud, then sometimes the money get released without the person knowing. As it is the bank controlling the purchase it is hard for Disney to try & sort something. Doesn't make it right though.

A similar thing happened to me. Tesco credit card blocked my payment as a measure against fraud. I was told by the CM to phone back the next day. Instead, I phoned Tesco, got my card 'unblocked' and phoned Disney straight back to process the payment. It was OK, but then the money didn't leave my 'account' for weeks, which worried me as I had no confirmation email to prove I had paid! It was all sorted in the end, but it wasn't as straight forward as I thought it would be. This is why people use travel agents, I suppose!

yeah it is a worry i have read other threads that peoples money havent been taken from their accounts for nearly 10 days thats why mum paid by credit card

so another little update WDW do badges for special occasions if you just got married, anniversaries, birthdays 1st time at disney badges. In 2009 they are relising just engaged badges so i have asked a friend going a big favour to get me two so we can wear them on holiday as we missed out when we were there because they didnt have them

every one

a list minute up date before we have our early drive to the airport in the morning I was really excited this morning and couldnt sleep. I was awake at 7 with that worrying feeling that i havent done every thing but ive done all the washing made a packed lunch with mickey sandwiches and mickey rice crispie cakes packed every thing all in our mickey luggage we been a bit mickey mad this year lol

so we couldnt afford to upgrade our hotel so we are just staying in Santa Fe but we will only be sleeping here and having our breakfast as we plan to be making the most of being there no matter what the weather

we have added half board premium though we will deff be enjoying some nice meals this holiday and a few drinks

i just want to say thanks for every one on here you are all so friendly and so help full this DIS rocks
