I admit it. When it comes to Disney, I have been a Princess in every way the last few years. As I said in my first trip report, we do NOT live this way in everyday life.

Disney is different. I’ve just returned from my fourth trip this year and we live in Tennessee. It’s not exactly Whirlwind Trip territory. Nope. It’s just been the perfect storm of circumstances. We had a fantastic family trip in January that marked our first Disney vacation in 5 years that was just the four of us. Then in early June, my Mom, sisters and I drove to Disney with our six children for my nieces’ first Disney experience. September, of course, was the Maelstrom Meet with my very real cyber friends. I certainly didn’t expect to be there Thanksgiving. In May, though, Shrek's wonderful mother, known as Mee Maw, said that she was thinking about the trip she shared with us five years ago and would love to join us next time we went. That was all Shrek needed to say, Book it, Jam.

Thanksgiving week won over Christmas as the kids had the whole week off this year. Fortunately, we planned it about 182 days out. Perfect. Then we decided to try the Deluxe Dining Plan. Shrek likes to stay on Club Level and requested the Contemporary. Done. Add a few more luxury touches and you’ll begin to understand the title of this report.

Let’s get right to it.
Cast:
Me—Jamal, Jam, The Fixer, FTM, wife to Shrek and Mom to A and E
DH—Shrek, FMD (later), wonderful husband and provider. Ogre with a huge heart. MUST nap every day at Disney. Prone to break out in dance at any moment, much to the embarrassment of…
DS14—A, fantastic teen and lover of Disney and family. Guitarist, soccer player, recent Foodie.
DS8—E, Golden Sunshine, always happy with a plot up his sleeve. Greedy, snuggly, athlete, sugar-addict.
Mee Maw, 81—incredible woman who loves God, family, coffee, and everyone she meets. Most positive, energetic person ever , even after losing beloved Paw Paw last year. Runs circles around us all.

Saturday, November 22 was a cold and rainy one here. Florida was looking good before we left town. Shrek loaded the car with enough luggage (I had warned him..) to carry us (me) through unpredictable temperatures and evening dining wardrobe options. He asked the boys to help while I dried my hair and kissed the light-up magnifying mirror goodbye. I heard a basketball bounce following by a bellowing Shrek asking A if he was crazy for not loading the car. This prompted a window greeting from the neighbor, who must have waked to wish us goodbye. After a lovely car ride to the airport, complete with clear expectations of good behavior and respect, we reached our launching pad.

My dear husband has friends with planes. Yes! We were fortunate enough to pull right up to the side of our chariot, load up the luggage, and take off for the 16 minute flight to pick up Mee Maw. She greeted us with hugs, cheers, and personalized cookies! She announced that if Buzz Lightyear kissed her again this trip, they were engaged.

On the plane, we explained a bit about the itinerary, Deluxe Dining Plan, and Concierge level. It would be an amazing foodathon as we had ADRs for many Signature restaurants. Yes, I’ll tell you all about them. I had requested MK View but was prepared to be happy with Bay Lake View as well. I’m glad Disney has gone back to making those separate reservation options for 2009.

We landed next to the strettttch limousine (Walk This Way!) that would whisk us to The World.

E is all about the hair.

When we arrived at the Contemporary, a Concierge met us downstairs and took us to the 12th floor. We had stayed on the 12th and 14th floors before and definitely prefer 12 with its open atrium. The 14th floor is almost all suites with few King Bed rooms. It would have been tough for us to get connecting rooms there. Besides, I like to wake up to the sound of Chef Mickey’s. Yes! MK view connecting rooms! I insisted everyone wait in the hall while I snapped a few pics. We can mess up a hotel room in 10 seconds flat, with or without luggage. I’m serious.

We last stayed at the CR in 2005, just before the rehab. I thought I would like the new rooms, but they were sleeker and more luxurious than I had imagined! E, designer and architect in training, was enthralled. Even the bathroom was better than I expected as I hung my bag over the towel bar and banished the boys’ toiletries to the shelf under the sink. Perfect.
I immediately called for 14 more hangers (5?? Please…) to use when we returned that evening.

We grabbed some Goldfish and delicious cookies from the Lounge and headed out.

It is just GORGEOUS!!!

IMG_0393-2.jpg

It was about 1:30 when we jumped on the AK bus. We had another morning at AK but I was afraid we wouldn’t have time for Lion King AND Nemo on Thanksgiving and I wanted Mee Maw to see both. I should tell you that besides the usual goal of hitting all the parks, I wanted Mee Maw to see all the Deluxe resorts. We got around!

E brought his own messenger bag and offered to carry our wares. This lasted two days. On the bus, I pulled out something and presented it to him: a three year old container of orange Tic Tacs. Over three years ago, the boy had begged me for those Tic Tacs in WalMart. I caved, bought them, stuck them in my purse, and waited for him to ask me for them.

He never did. I kept them. I decided that bus ride was the perfect time to expose him as a greedy, in-the-moment, thing-wanter. We all had a good laugh (he didn’t remember the WalMart day) and the story had an unexpected benefit: he never asked for a thing the entire trip.

In AK, we grabbed some Fastpasses for Everest then headed to the Nemo show. Perfect timing! After the wonderful Nemo show (I may have napped for 10-15 seconds) it was almost time for our Everest FPs. We watched the coaster. Mee Maw said she was game for a meeting with the Yeti. As we walked to the doors, she asked the other observers to watch out for a green jacket flying off the train and to please send help!

IMG_0280.jpg

She did it! She even liked it! Wow. I hope to be half the woman she is at 81. Everything in her life is to be a celebrated adventure.

IMG_0284.jpg

We caught the very last safari of the day at 4:45. It was fantastic!

IMG_0303.jpg

We actually walked out of AK in time to see their new “Kiss Goodnight” with the Fab Four on their trolley. This was a great excuse for Shrek to break out in dance. I thought A would die from embarrassment. He couldn’t hide far or fast enough, which only made Shrek dance more. E loved it.

IMG_0311.jpg

A is in the orange shirt in the distance.

IMG_0314.jpg

Our next bus was to AKL for our Jiko ADR.

IMG_0320.jpg

Shrek and I had eaten at Jiko five years before and I enjoyed it at the Viking Convention 2007, but it felt new to us all. My glass of South African Pinot warmed me right up.

So with the Deluxe plan appetizers come with the meal. Yes. Appetizers, entrée, dessert. Every. Meal. My A has become a connoisseur of cheese plates and ordered one at every opportunity. We’re still amazed, as this is the same kid who LIVED on PB and J and mac and cheese until age 11. We told him to enjoy as we couldn’t afford to feed him that way at home! E was happy with 3 Shirley Temples…

Our server, Nasser, encouraged me to try the chicken. It was delicious! By the way, I will run out of superlatives to describe our food this trip. Sorry. I gobbled up the chicken and goat cheese mashed potatoes. Shrek, A and Mee Maw had the filet. E ate the first of many many macaroni and cheese offerings.

When we were leaving, Nasser stopped by, pointed to E, and asked his name. he said he had a phone call at the front desk! The CM at the host desk played right along and punched a few buttons before handing E the phone. It was Goofy telling him to have a Magical Day! Awwww….

We took a taxi back to the CR where I began the unpacking process. I will say we could have used a few more drawers for 7 nights and 4 people, but Mee Maw offered her room if we needed it. We stored our luggage in her corner and everything else was fine.

We opened our balconies and waited for Wishes to begin. We found the music on the CR TV channel and sat outside to watch. It was bliss! E noticed the boats ‘all in position’ for the Electric Water Pageant. I loved the familiar music of that show, which we could hear from our balcony.

I ended the day with a walk down to the Lounge for a cup of green tea, which was available! Ahhh… now I felt truly pampered. I returned to the room, popped on the free internet for a minute, and fell into bed.

Next up: Magic Kingdom, watching our Titans, a new adventure, and one of the best meals ever!

Welcome back.

I am impressed your dh and mil both rode Everestt. My dh rode it and declared his stomache was in his throat. :rotfl: :rotfl:

WOO HOO!!! I am soooo excited to hear all the deets and to see all the pictures from this oh-so-magical trip!

I love love love that picture of you and Shrek, BTW.

Poor A. It is hard to be a teenager with a goofy dad who loves to embarrass you. NOShrek (or his borgtwinbro Jay....;) )

I know how busy you are, Jam. THANK YOU for getting this TR in gear so quickly!

I just found your trip report and am excited to read more. We stayed club level at the Grand Floridian on our last trip and loved it!!! My husband is very much like Shrek in that he starts dancing all the time when he has the chance.

Hey Jam, I'm in. And I liked the first chapter here. I was a little freaked out by "E", tho.

In the orange sweatshirt with the hair and, especially, the gap between his two front teeth he looks SO MUCH like "T".

My "T".

Also in the very last picture. It's freakyfriday.

And... yet... standing side by side they would look nothing like "E.T."

Thankfully.

Don't you think ZZUB probably looks like E.T.? Tho.

I do. And so I'm thinking of luring him to Canada with a trail of Reese's Pieces. And then locking him in my closet.

To finish the rest of my trip report. For me.

However... judging by the start of this one:

Would you like some candy? My friend?

Back to my initial observation: How come our kids can look so much alike when we don't?

With this I'm trying to tell you that you look so nice in the picture. Too.

I'd also mention that it's pretty cool that you had your own plane to get to WDW.

Ok.

Also... we got a puppy!!!! And it's pretty hard to type with her asleep on my lap here. So I'm gonna sign off for now.

Do you think she'll still want to sleep on my lap at the computer when she's 70 pounds????!!!!

I hope so.

After all... what's an extra seventy pounds around the waistline? NOZZUB.

Heh heh.

Cheers, Mel.

:3dglasses

P.S. Mee Maw sounds so great!!!!

Want to make a little octogenarian trade? Of sorts?

I'll even throw in II Duce...errr... The General's famous Desiccated Pork Pie Surprise. Too.

You do eat small suburban game? Don't you?

Hey, it's a parade of Canadians stoppin' by....;)

But no talk of the weather.

Just yet.

Jami - I'm in too!

What a great start! Love the pic's, love the CR. I'm so glad MeeMaw rode Everest. What an inspiration! Maybe I will one day in the future, how about September 2041!!

Looking forward to more.

wow...nice begining. Can't wait to hear the rest.

Welcome back.

I am impressed your dh and mil both rode Everestt. My dh rode it and declared his stomache was in his throat. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Look! A moderator is my first visitor. I am honored, OhMari. Well, we are all Everest fans, especially Shrek! Maybe your DH should embrace that feeling. Hmmmm....

Oh yes, that could have easily been the father of YOUR two boys.;)
I know how busy you are, Jam. THANK YOU for getting this TR in gear so quickly!

Let's see how I do. I've given myself some short and long-term goals for it.

I just found your trip report and am excited to read more. We stayed club level at the Grand Floridian on our last trip and loved it!!! My husband is very much like Shrek in that he starts dancing all the time when he has the chance.

Do tell, Princess. See if you find more similarities as we go. I do think the CR lounge is my fave, even over the Poly and definitely over Beach Club's smallish one. welcome aboard!

MEL!!!! Well, I noticed my E and your T looking alike way back when you posted the side of T's head. Would you also believe E's middle name is T? Yep. He's forever E.T.

And... yet... standing side by side they would look nothing like "E.T."

My friend? Regular Reese's Cups, pleaseandthankyou.

Back to my initial observation: How come our kids can look so much alike when we don't?

I suppose I should tell you, hopefully without alarming the rest of the TR board and your many fans, that E was adopted at birth. Perhaps that's why he looks like you, not me.

Before you tax your swift little mind too much, rest easy that we have met his birthparents and his birthmother looks like you.

With this I'm trying to tell you that you look so nice in the picture. Too.

But my children look better. That's the beauty of adoption. They are cuter and smarter than us and we get NO credit.

Bwahahahaha!!! Come look in my back yard and see your future. The answer is NO. She will try to tackle you in greeting, dig up your garden, and regularly swallow socks. That lovely habit costs $$$ at the vet plus $ for socks. Max prefers UnderArmour boys' socks, just so you know.

But. Congratulations. Puppies are cute.

I hope so.

After all... what's an extra seventy pounds around the waistline? NOZZUB.

Heh heh.

Cheers, Mel.

I'll even throw in II Duce...errr... The General's famous Desiccated Pork Pie Surprise. Too.

You do eat small suburban game? Don't you?

I eat just about anything but believe I'll keep the best mother-in-law in the world. Give my love to the Fuhr...um, General.

Hey, it's a parade of Canadians stoppin' by....;)

But no talk of the weather.

Just yet.

Jami - I'm in too!

I don't see it happening for you Yak. If Bryce  couldn't escort you on, you'll just have to live knowing Mee Maw rode and you didn't. The weather!!! Ooohhhh.. I will tell!

wow...nice begining. Can't wait to hear the rest.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Nice to meet you.

Can't wait to read more!

Nicole: me too! Check back later this afternoon. Evening. Central Time

Thanks for reading, everyone!

WOW! Jami how SWEET is your family! I can just see Shrek dancing in the streets and I am DED over A walking away from him! Love it!

Your trip is off to a fabulous start my friend! How awesome that MeeMaw is game to tackle the Yeti! Sounds like you had a great first day and I'm now craving that wonderful mac n cheese from Jiko. Ahhhh, good memories! I'm not craving Doritos though. ;)

Keep it coming! This one is going to be dreamy!!!!!

This sounds like the start of one amazing trip! Can't wait to read more! popcorn::

Yay, you're back with another TR! :yay:

AND... I was there the same week, so this is gonna be fun. It's entirely possible that I passed by you many, many times and, despite reading your TRs, missed that it was you completely. I'm somewhat oblivious when it comes to DISer spotting.

Shrek loaded the car with enough luggage (I had warned him..) to carry us (me) through unpredictable temperatures and evening dining wardrobe options.
Good thinking on those unpredictable temps! :thumbsup2

We last stayed at the CR in 2005, just before the rehab. I thought I would like the new rooms, but they were sleeker and more luxurious than I had imagined!
Aren't they gorgeous? I stayed at CR just after they finished renovations. It's been HARD to stay anywhere else since.

She did it! She even liked it! Wow. I hope to be half the woman she is at 81. Everything in her life is to be a celebrated adventure.
:goodvibes WTG Mee Maw!

...and one of the best meals ever!

:thumbsup2 It's good to see you back! :thumbsup2 I love trips that pamper! We took one of those ourselves this past Sept./Oct.

I am really looking forward to hearing all about your most recent trip! I love it that Shrek danced!

That's a very cute picture of you and Shrek...it's frameworthy!

Anyway, good to see you writing again! :thumbsup2

Is MeeMaw a southern term for grandma.
Brett Favre calls his grandma Mee Maw.

Your boys are getting so big. Can't wait to see what this trip entails!

Hello from some fellow Tennesseans. We were there with you - just a little later.

Are you from around Nashville with kids in Metro? If so, your kids got the whole week off of Thanksgiving.
Their teachers (I'm included in that bunch) got the privilege of having an in-service on Monday, so we had to cut our trips a little shorter. :sad2:

Oh, but we're much, much better teachers now for having done that.

Our original plan was to leave the 22nd, but that sort of got changed. Short-changed, that is! :)

Wasn't the difference in TN and FL awesome? Down there, people were in the pool every day, the sky was blue, the palm trees swayed. Up here, we left and we came back to bare trees and cold, gray days.

This MeMom did Everest once, and that's enough for me. If my friend and I go in March and she wants to do it, I'll suck it up and go again so she can experience it, but unless I'm going for the sake of a first-timer, I've 'been there, done that' and lived to tell about it, and I don't feel the need to do it again. it was a little more intense than I had predicted.

Your boys are handsome, and your whole family looks like a fun bunch. At first, I thought your youngest looked like the oldest boy on the Carnival Kia commercial, if you happen to know that one. Your oldest didn't need to be embarrassed of the dancing dad. Look at the pictures - no one is even paying attention to him!

Concierge and private planes. Thanks for helping to represent Tennesseans as people who actually do put on shoes and wear something besides overalls! :rotfl:

Watching Wishes from your balcony has to be just awesome!

I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing more.

Thanks my FTM friend! Mmmmm... mac and cheese. Good memories and laughing to tears.

No way, Princess V! You'll have to tell me if we were in the same place, same time. Thanks for re-living it with me!

You are so kind, jaycns. It's good to be back. I'm glad you had such a fine trip yourself!

Is MeeMaw a southern term for grandma.
Brett Favre calls his grandma Mee Maw.
You know I think it is. Her mother was a MeeMaw too and while it wasn't my fave, it fits and she loves it.

Your boys are getting so big. Can't wait to see what this trip entails!
Yes they are. A just passed me. Thanks for reading!

No WAY! well I just saw this and it tickled me so much. Oh, last week was brutal after FL, wasn't it?
Shhh... about Tennesseans; we have a reputation to uphold. I have had people ask me if we had a still in our backyard!
I am so SO glad you are here and look forward to your comments, MeMom! Does that answer you, OhMari?;)

Thanks to you all for joining me here.

Day Two in a sec!

Sunday, November 23
Not bad. Not bad at all. Mickey and Stitch called at 7:00 sharp. This is such a Fixer habit. We get our wake-up call for 7:00 AM almost every Disney day. I tiptoe around getting showered and dressed, carefully timing my most-dreaded moment of the morning: waking Shrek. He certainly responds better at Disney than at home, but morning is not his thing. It’s one of the reasons he loves Club level. If he knows he can stumble down the hall with a USA Today to find cartoons, coffee and Fruit Loops-in-a-tube waiting, waking becomes worthwhile.
After I’m dressed for the day, I break into song to help the family rise and shine. “Be our guest, be our guest, put our magic to the test,” I sing as I throw open the curtains to reveal a sunny morning dawning over Seven Seas Lagoon. Whoosh! My blood is suddenly racing and I cannot wait to get OUT there.

PB230422.jpg

The first sound from A, last to rise: Dad snores and E kicks.

True on both counts and welcome to my world, buddy. From this night forward A wisely slept next door in MeeMaw’s room in his own queen bed. Smart kid. I checked the weather on the handy computer and snapped this just for Yak and her northern kin:

PB220398.jpg

Only in Florida…

After a delicious breakfast in the lounge with 15 or so of our closest neighbors, we were ready for what Shrek affectionately calls his Coffee Walk. It’s one of the reasons he wanted to stay at the CR. He discovered on our 2005 stay there that the wonderful path from the CR to MK was exactly one cup of coffee. He marveled at Disney’s trash can placement, certain that planners had placed the receptacles exactly where they needed to be to catch an empty coffee cup on a morning walk to MK.

He was right. Armed with a plan and plenty of energy, we approached the MK. E and I definitely skipped. We caught the end of the opening and split up. I chicken-ran (thanks A!) to Space Mountain for Fastpasses while everyone else strolled to the Speedway. My boys, especially E, still love that track and it’s a tradition to do it first one MK day. On my happy happy walk down Main Street, I saw something I’d never seen before. This family had their two children, who I guessed to be about ages 5 and 7, not on leashes but in bright orange safety harnesses. I’m sorry if that was you, but these poor kids looked completely humiliated and ridiculous. I tried to shake it off and instead note tight dresses and bad shoes, but the image of those boys stuck with me all day.

As is his custom (see previous TRs), my dear Shrek tried to mess up the plan he insisted I make by allowing the boys to ride the ‘no crowd’ Raceway twice. I almost shoved him out of our boat and into the Croc’s mouth on Peter Pan. He spent much of the morning groveling. After some teacups (no thank you), we hopped on the train in Toontown and rode around to Frontierland for some BTMRR and Splash action. MeeMaw loved Pirates and happily rode BTMRR but opted out of Splash. I stayed with her. It was too early and cool for me to muss my do.

PB230418.jpg

We headed back to Tomorrowland to use our Space FPs and stopped in at Buzz Lightyear. We never did see Buzz, but jumped on his Spin.
All five of us rode Space Mountain. Mee Maw remembered it from five years before and declared once enough this trip. I was so proud of her. She again spent the morning soaking in the atmosphere, the experiences, and her family. She’s a party on the go!

We knew it would be a short morning at the MK for one reason: Tennessee Titans football. See, we’re big fans and it was a big deal to know someone else was sitting in our seats back home. Who would have guessed, when we made plans in May, that our team would be undefeated the week before Thanksgiving? Not this family. We even had the audacity to be in Disney for a week, enough for the Titans to play twice. Well, we were not surprised to find that our room TV stations would not carry Sunday’s Titans-Jets game. That meant we were in for our first-ever ESPNZone excursion. We weren’t missing that game.

Shrek and A were itching to get to the Boardwalk by noon. Shrek just knew we wouldn’t find seats if we didn’t get there early, so I encouraged him to go ahead with the boys. Mee Maw and I walked back to the CR for quick wardrobe changes (jackets, shoes) and agreed to meet them at ESPN.

MeeMaw walks more than anyone I know. She’s not a sitter, a rider, a driver. If she can walk there, she will. The CR to MK route was no exception. She did it at least 20 times this trip. I know it would be no big deal for us to walk back to the resort, take care of business, walk back to the MK, and catch our Boardwalk bus. We did, and found our boys happily seated on row one of the enormous TV screen, just next to several big-chain-wearing, beer-guzzling, lewd-languaged native Jets fans. It was awesome.

Until the game started.

The Titans didn’t play like the only undefeated team in the NFL. They didn’t play like they were on the BIG screen at ESPN with 4 faithful fans cheering them on. They played like a team facing its first loss, so with the 10-3 losing score frowning at us at the half, Shrek suggested we move along. We had had our burgers and needed some exercise.

Mini-golf. We’d never played at Disney World! It’s been on our short list for about three trips and this seemed like the perfect afternoon. We walked the gorgeous Boardwalk (did I mention 72 and sunny??) until E climbed aboard and begged for a surrey bike.

PB230431.jpg

I said exercise, not work. Shrek places surrey bikes in the category with paddleboats at the beach. They are waaaayyyy too much work for vacation. So we dragged the pouting little guy off and pressed on toward the Swan-Dolphin.
MeeMaw was not a fan of the look of the S-D. She agreed with us on that one.

Fantasia Gardens was just across the street and looked promising. The five of us had so much fun there! The course is so cute and just-right challenging. E overshot every putt, A was impatient (no shock) and Shrek beat me by one stroke and his Mama by two. We laughed pretty much the whole course but I missed the best laugh of all.

MeeMaw and Shrek were doubled over as they told of the woman who bent over, putted, and watched her wig slide right off the top of her head onto the green. Shrek said the family of five fell straight OUT onto the course as if they had been shot. They were laughing THAT hard. It slowed up the whole operation for a while and brought new meaning to DED. I can’t believe I missed it.

The whole Fantasia Gardens experience was terrific. I truly recommend it for your family. We were there about two hours and easily accessed the Boardwalk and transportation. Do it!

The return from the S-D took a bit longer. I think I know why I don’t want to rely on those busses. I know we waited at least 30 minutes for an MK bus.

E had asked about a swim earlier so I told him we could have a quick one when we returned. I talked A into swimming as well and knew it would be a short one. It was just right for Shrek’s quick nap. E had been too small for the big slide on our last trip to the CR, but loved it this day! I do think the CR pool is in need of a rehab/upgrade and look forward to seeing how it looks by next summer. I wrapped up in a towel with my cup of tea and rested my eyes for about 30 minutes before summoning the boys to get dressed. Brrr…

Dinner? Glad you asked. I have wanted to go to Citrico’s for years and knew this was the trip! As I said, I wanted MeeMaw to see all the resorts and we all remembered the GF Gingerbread House from five years before when we ate at Narcoosee’s. I had peeked into Citrico’s on my September trip and knew it would be a good experience! I have to say something to those of you who lament your children growing up (as I do EVERY day). I loved watching my boys in the many signature restaurants we enjoyed this trip. We always expect manners and respect, but they had to hold themselves to pretty high standards for some long meals over a week. They did great. It also gave them the opportunity to try some new foods.

Most of all, it gave A the chance to order some expensive foods, which he loved. He had a cheese plate every night and declared Citrico’s one of the best. When we checked in, I tried to press my nose against the glass at the neighboring Victoria and Albert’s. I told Shrek and Mee Maw about it. Shrek asked why we weren’t eating there this trip. I told him it wasn’t on our Dining Plan and that we didn’t need to go there to eat well. Besides, we already had a date night planned. Mee Maw offered to treat us to V and A’s. I insisted we wouldn’t be able to get a reservation, and that I was happy with our plans. It was a very, very nice offer. I told Shrek he could bring me back there another time, and he said, “It’s a date.”

My notes from that night say, “One of the best meals ever.” It was. We felt the chef and entire staff paid excellent attention to detail, proper temperature, presentation, and service. The CMs took their roles very seriously and wanted every guest to enjoy the experience. All this combined with a wonderful round table in a corner made for a delicious evening. I had the romaine salad, the filet (fantastic!!) with four-cheese potatoes (bring some right now…) and a beauty of a chocolate banana dessert. Yes, Ash, I said banana.

After every one of these delicious meals we were very full, but not stuffed. I mean, stuffed is how I felt after the Hoop-De-Doo in January. THAT was stuffed. This was manageable. We walked around the GF and marveled at the Gingerbread House. I showed them the setting, buildings, and pools.

I told Shrek how much I had surprised myself by enjoying the resort during my one night stay there in September. We’ll see if a stay there is in our future. For now, I still have a three-way tie going between the Poly, CR, and Beach Club. Any day, any time, any room, I’m there.

We rode the monorail our quick two stops and fell into bed with the sounds of the EWP in the background. Two days? We’ve got six more coming!

Up Next: Epcot, frustration, and a wonderful surprise!

Hey Jamal!

Great chapter - sorry about the Titans.

I checked the weather on the handy computer and snapped this just for Yak and her northern kin:

:rotfl:

You know we Canadians LOVE to talk about the weather. It looked fairly nice - but I know you were freezing!

Loved the cheese plates and especially the kids one.

Mee-Maw on space too! Wonderful!
