sorry haven't been on in a while! :)

Good day from Indiana. Today Janet and I get to go see the stage preformance of The Lion King!!! We could not find tickets we liked at a cost we liked in Kansas City but we found them here. So we are going to the 1 PM show today. I am so excited!

I will post more later if I get a chance, Lois

All I can say is OMG!!

Was it amazing?
I saw it a long time ago in NYC and always wanted to go back but tickets are sooooo expensive.

We were setting only five rows back. It was awesome and a great gift to ourselves. I would love to see it again but I have a love for theater. The tickets I am sure were much less than NYC but still not cheap. I was surpised that were were able to get tickets just the day before. We did not plan on doing this it just kinda worked out. I am still in Awe! Lois

Well I wanted to write a quick note as today we are traveling from Janet's mom to visit with Janet's dad and I do not expect to have Wi Fii at his home. We will go home this saturday so if I have not touched base before I will check in then.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving. Take care and don't forget to count the small blessins as well as the large. Lois

Just a quick bumb back to the top of the page!

We are back from our travels. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am thankful right now that it is over. Visiting family is always stressful, so as much as I enjoy it, I also dread it.

On to the planning.

welcome back!
I haven't been doing any planning recently but need to start again bc we make adrs in a little over than a month. Do you think the official park hours will be posted by then? I want to schedule my meals around EMH's and the parades and wishes so it would be nice to know the times of those ahead of time.

I just looked and they don't have the hours for May 09 posted yet so our chances of having July's posted before the end of January are not looking real good. What we can do is look for when they had them in 08 and use that to make an educated guess. I will make the best guess I can and then attempt to change it if needed. That is for next month. This month is for securing my air fare! Lois

I wont be able to book airfare until late january/early feb. Im really hoping I can get my airfare before making adrs in case i need to change my dates for cheaper fares.
as of now southwest will be booking flights up to june 28th on december 9th, so it looks like in january sometime they will be booking for july which is around the time ill be making adrs.
i normally wouldnt be stressing about making adrs a few weeks late, but i really want le cellier for dinner which i heard is hard to get. hopefully everything will work out......

I think Air Tran will be available in December but I could be wrong. It happened at least once before. If you really want La Cellier why don't you make ressie for when you hope to go as soon as you can? If you need to make a change you will not be any worse off then if you wait to make them. Unless there is a cancelation/change fee. Lois

Ok, this may be a little early to do this but my DBF really can't help with the planning process and I need a place to organize my thoughts lol. I put together this list of where I think we will be eating.

Kona Cafe-Lunch
Aritist Point- Dinner
San Angel Inn- Lunch
Le Cellier- Dinner
Sci-Fi Dine In- Lunch
Ohana- Dinner
Tokyo Dining- Lunch
Coral Reef- Dinner
The Wave- Lunch
Citricos- Dinner

Any advice on what could be missed or should be added?

Kona Cafe-Lunch
Aritist Point- Dinner
San Angel Inn- Lunch
Le Cellier- Dinner - I have heard that this is a great place
Sci-Fi Dine In- Lunch
Ohana- Dinner - I have also heard other say that they live to eat here
Tokyo Dining- Lunch
Coral Reef- Dinner - Eat here and enjoyed it plan to return.
The Wave- Lunch
Citricos- Dinner

Any advice on what could be missed or should be added?

I can't be much help as I haven't eaten in most of these restaurants except Coral Reef. I really enjoyed it and plan to return in July. Haven't decided on if we will go at lunch or dinner. It will be lunch if we pay out of pocket and dinner if we get the dinning plan.

Some of the restaurants I enjoy are Crystal Palace because it is a Winnie the Pooh Charactor Dinning experience. Liberty Tree Travern it is all you can eat served family style. These are at MK. I will eat at Hollywood and Vine and Mama Melrose at Hollywood Studio to get the Fantismic Dinning package. I love that show and hate to fight for seats. I heard that they had changed it and will check before I opt for this this year. We will eat at the Yet and Yeti again this year at the AK. It is a newer restuarant and I found it to be good. We may also eat at the Garden Grill at Epcot. The grow some of the food they serve right at WDW and it is also all you can eat served family style.

So due tell where are the resurants you are planning for and why do you want to eat there. I feel some changes to my plans coming on. Lois

Because we are on the dining plan we have 2 meal spots to fill so Im thinking we can use them for breakfast at either 1900 park fare, crystal palace, ohana or chef mickey's. I think the dbf likes 1900 park fare the best (he's never eaten there before but I send him the menus and pictures of places we could eat at and he tells me which he likes best)
Have you eaten at any of those for breakfast?

And heres why I've chosen these places....

Kona Cafe- I ate here twice and absolutely loved it! The desserts are soooo good.

Artist Point- Read some great reviews about it. DBF said we have to eat here because of the berry dessert they have. I love the wilderness lodge so i want to go here one evening for dinner then walk around the resort.

San Angel- DBF loves mexican food and ever since my first trip to disney as a kid Ive wanted to eat here because it looks so pretty but no one in my family likes mexican food

Le Cellier- My top pick! steak looks and sounds amazing

Sci-Fi- Looks like a cute atmosphere where you sit in cars and watch clips from movies like a drive-in. I think it would be fun even though i heard the food isnt that good.

Ohana- all you can eat family style- hawaiin food. DBF likes all u can eat meals and its located at our resort which is nice

Tokyo Dining- DBF and I love Japanese food.

Coral Reef- I am so excited to eat here! it just looks so pretty and I would love to surprise the DBF with a message from the scuba divers.

The Wave- looks like a quiet place. I plan on going here to take a break from MK for lunch.

Citricos- Menu looks really good- Of all the signature restaurants this one looks the best to me.

We ate at the Cystal Palace for Breakfast. It was good. I like that resturant because I love Winnie the Pooh. It is buffet and the food wasn't the best but it was good. I perfer lunch or dinner but I think that is because breakfast is my least favoite meal of the day. I have heard many folks praise Chef Mickey. I would suggest that Chef Mickey be one of the places you try. However I have never been there. We tend to stay in the park that we plan to visit so I haven't eaten in any of the resort restaurants. Lois

Im not much of a breakfast person either, but my DBF is. Chef Mickey's sounds pretty good and it would give my DBF an opportunity to meet mickey for the first time lol.
I just noticed we have no meals at MK so maybe we will go to crystal palace too. Can we go there before the park opens are does it open when the park does?

The first ressies are for 8 AM. You will tell a CM that you have ressies and they will let you in.
Count me in for July!

Welcome to a ever growing group. Do you know when in July you plan to visit? Have you picked out a place to stay? I noticed in your siggy that you have stayed at Pop a bit. We are trying All Star Music this trip.

I am keeping a list of who is going when, where they plan to stay and who they are traveling with. You can just post any information you would like included and I will add you to the list. It is being kept on page 3 post 39 if I remember correctly. Lois

Sure! July 12-18th, of course we are staying at POP again. I guess we are creatures of habit. I take my 2 kids and my mother goes with us. The hubby isnt interested in disney(his loss), so he doesnt have a problem with us going every July without him. :thumbsup2 Heres to hoping it comes quick.
