Thanks for posting all you PA disers! :thumbsup2 I would love to go around Christmas some year. I have about 4 months to go:rolleyes1 I'm in planning mode as we speek:banana: To those of you leaving soon, have a wonderful time! :woohoo:

Hi from Sharpsville in Mercer County. About an hour outside of Pittsburgh. We always fly and are returning in July, I am hoping to find decent airfare. :worship:

Me, DH, and DS(14 by then) will be there in July too:goodvibes
Planning on July 21-30th to celebrate DH Bday:thumbsup2 ..... We'll be taking the Autotrain, DS will not fly.... DH will not drive..... so the Autotrain it is;)

I definetly hope its warmer than the 50s when we're there. I booked a day at discovery cove so we'll be in the water for an entire day. I know they keep the water warm there and we can wear wet suits but it would be chilly to get out of the water and roam around if its under 50 degrees. Of course even if we're dripping wet on the the coldest day in florida, we'll still be warmer than at home!!

Where is home?

It would be warmer than here also (unless it was unusually cold in FL, and unusually warm in PA).

I'm from TN, but I'm heading to Hershey for Thanksgiving weekend. My wife & I are considering a move to PA; it's so beautiful there. But the winters do stay a bit cold for us . . .

We're about 20 minutes south of Pittsburgh. We had a cold weekend, snow, ice, sleet you name it we got it!! I love the cold weather, I'm just not used to it being quite this cold this earlier in the year.

We are from Berks County just outside of Reading. We always fly to WDW. If my wife and I drove down together we would probably need divorce attorneys by the time we hit South Carolina.:rotfl:

Hi fellow Pa people! I'm from around the Harrisburg area. York County but we don't live in York how funny.

Hi! We live relatively close to you. We live in southern Schuylkill county, but grew up in northern Berks.:thumbsup2 I think the same thing would happen to my husband and I! I admire all the disser's who make that trek!:worship:

We're in central PA - about midway between Harrisburg and State College. It's very cold here, so we're anxiously awaiting our January trip to WDW! I hope it's warm down there. We are renting a house, off-site, with a heated indoor pool. Hopefully the kids will be able to swim some.
We drive EVERY time we go and it's never been a problem. We usually go to the Carolinas and spend the night and go the rest of the way the next day.

I know where you are. I bought my Harley at Scheaffers (hten sold it for a boat) and fished at Landingville a couple times (with teh boat that I bought from selling my Harley). We can make it as far as the Outer Banks and that is about it. Now with teh Baby even that is a little to far. I would much rather drive to eith Philly or Allentown and fly.

Wow! There aren't too many people who are familiar w/this area. The Outer Banks is the farthest we ever driven too. If we can get decent rates, we fly out of Harrisburg. It's so easy to get to from where we are and it's small so we haven't ever had to wait in any lines for security or to check in. :thumbsup2

Where are all of the Folks from Bucks County?????

I am from Ivyland, PA-born in Bristol, PA.

DH and I are flying to WDW in February. Got a so-so deal on airfare on Southwest. We usually fly AirTran Airways but their prices for our week were super high :confused3

We are just outside of Reading also..in Exeter Township! We usually fly but since it's just DH (no kids this trip!) we'll be fine driving. We want to drive around the Orlando area and look for a nice neighborhood to live in. Sick of this cold PA weather!!! In 4 years when our youngest daughter graduates, we're outta here and headed for sunny Florida!
