February Magical Family Adventures!!~ LAST DAY!! (6/5)

Aww, that sounds nice! Might be hard work but sounds worth it. If you get any pic's or video from it you should let us see a little. :)

LOL....okay. I'll try and remember to take some photos. I'll probably take some tomorrow as I am seeing Wendy and Derek and the kids.....:thumbsup2

Getting back to our park goals, let's start on the next park.....EPCOT!

Well, I told you about our rope drop strategy for Epcot. So, you already know that we do Soarin' and Nemo early in the morning. The attractions that we are going to try to add to our journey this time are:

Universe of Energy - all of us. DS loves dinosaurs and would like to do this but chickened out last time. Maybe he will get to see it this time. DH and I did this in '97.

Mission Space- Me. DS doesn't want to, and DH is the only one of us who did it last time. So, I guess I will check it out this time. But only the mild side. ;)

Honey I Shrunk the Audience- Me for sure and possibly DS and DH later. Not sure if DH wants to do this if he's going by himself. He may just skip it. We are getting wise in our older age. This time I will go watch this one FIRST before we let DS go in. Last time we just all walked in to It's Tough to be a bug in AK and scared DS half to death! :scared1:

The American Adventure Show- Not sure if DS will sit still for this yet but we may try. We have not been able to check out the different shows/movies in all the countries yet.

As for the rest of Epcot we will also fit in our usual favorites....Soarin, Nemo, Figment, Spaceship Earth, Innoventions, Test Track, Living with the land, 3 Caballeros, Maelstrom.

DS is looking forward to Test Track, Soarin', 3 Caballeros and Living with the Land. These are his favorites at Epcot. :goodvibes

We are looking forward to touring World Showcase, DH and I having a few drinks, DS having a Mickey bar, and shopping.

This trip we are trying 2 new (new to us) restaurants at Epcot.... San Angel Inn in Mexico for lunch one day and Chef's de France for dinner on a different day.

Here are a few pic's from Epcot during past trips:

Good goals! My favorites at Epcot are Soarin', Spaceship Earth, Test Track, and all the World Showcase countries. Oh, and we love playing in Innoventions.

I just love all your flower pictures from May!

I love the camera that I brought in May. It is my "good" camera but it's just too big and bulky for me to carry around. :sad2: I think I will bring it next trip but not into the parks. Maybe just carry it around during leasure times.

Honey I shrunk the audience shouldn't scare ds like tough to be a bug.

Look at the American adventure a good chance for him to have a little nap. I personally love that show, but my kids all sleep through it!

:lmao: Too funny about the kids in AA. I wish my DS would do that but he won't. He will be too busy bugging me about leaving.

Forget if I commented on your goals or not, so thought I do it again just in case:rotfl:

I love Universe of Energy. I am sure your DS will be fine this time since he will be older. I made the mistake of taking ds on there when he was just under 3. He was sleeping and woke up 15 mins into it. As you know there, is no way to exit....that did not go well for him and we had to listen to him cry for 20 mins :scared1:

My ds fav ride there is 3 caballeros, too. He would rid that all day if we let him:goodvibes

We took ds on Honey I Shrunk the audience. He again was sleeping and woke up half way through. He did not cry or scream and put glasses on here and there. But he did not care for it. I would give a shot. IF he does not like it, he does not have to put on glasses and he can just bury his head in your shoulder like my ds did

I just found out today that the Universe of Energy is being refurbished January until March!! So there goes that idea.

I hope he likes the Honey I shrunk the audience.

The only "bad" thing about going in February is that's when they do a lot of refurbishments. The list for this year started out as only 1....Hall of Presidents and as of today here is the new list for when we are there:

Hall of Presidents
Ellen's Universe of Energy
Backlot Tour

Also, they have moved the refurbishment of Philharmagic from January to Feb 1-6. We are arriving on the 7th. This is cutting it close!! I hope they don't move it again and I hope it doesn't take longer than anticipated. I was looking forward to seeing a refurbished show. :guilty:

Hi Blue! This year Splash Mountain and Figment and Snow White were closed so hopefully they should be open this Feb!!

Hey Blue, Was also looking forward to universe of energy. It is great to sit for a while, to take a break from all the rushing, and Ellen is very funny. Oh well, I guess we will just have to catch it the next time;) Hope Thanksgiving was a good day for you. I caught strep throat from hubby Lots of fun:rotfl: Oh well. Better now than in Feb.

I remember that!! Luckily we got to make all that up when we went back in May. :thumbsup2 There are always a few things closed in Feb, aren't there?

We had a pretty good Thanksgiving, but DS had some sort of stomach virus!!! So, we ended up taking him home and dealing with all of THAT.:sad2: yucky!! So glad he is better now, though. How about you? Are all of you better from the strep? I did WDW sick last February. I am going to try everything in my power for that not to happen again this time!!

Hopefully this will be all that is being refurbed while you are there -- and don't despair about Philharmagic -- Disney seems to stay on schedule with the rehabs -- and even in June, when we go, there always seems to be a refurb of some sort. Two years ago Haunted Mansion was closed, and last year it was Pirates.

I'm sure it will be all ok. They usually are on time. Just makes me nervous.

We were there when HM was closed. We hadn't been to WDW in 10 years!! I was sooo looking forward to it so that really stunk! But I made up for it this year. I rode it SEVERAL times. :thumbsup2
