Solo WDW:Avoiding a Divorce when NDH Goes Hunting thru Bday and Anniversary Upd:1/14

Hello all my fellow Disney addicts!!! How are you all doing this fine day??? I hope some aspect of your day was sprinkled with pixie dust!!!

Anywhoo…I must say that at some point I had a plan for this PTR, really I did! I knew things I wanted to share with you all and I even had an order for it…unfortunately I think I threw that list away. Yes, LL, I’m one of those list makers just like you LOL!!! I must tell you though, my ultimate Disney To-Do List, which has been placed in the Holy Grail of all binders, is coming along quite nicely! Unfortunately, due to the loss of the PTR list of which I can’t remember a single item, this PTR has become just like my brain: an assortment of random chaos that will never be organized no matter how I try to pretend it could ever be (see what I mean by random chaos LOL). So now I’m winging it, which should cause all of you extreme amounts of fear, because goodness knows what is going to show up in the pages of this PTR now…

Wait! Wait! A flash of lightning! Brilliant! I can discuss my Disney binder, also known as The-No-End-In Sight-Wonder-If-They-Make-A-4-Inch-Binder-Book-Of-Pure-Pixie-Dust-Delight! Through all of this planning, Phillip (NDH) was pretty sure it was Disney that would be burning a hole through his wallet. Now he’s come to realize that it is actually HP (the printer company) that is taking all his money. I have mourned the passing of at least 3 black ink cartridges and 1 color ink cartridge…to put that into Disney terms, the cost was equal to 20 Dole Whips or almost 2 nights stay on my Passholder rate at POP!! And I bought another black ink cartridge last night at Wal-Mart as I slowly suck the life out of my 4th black one. Will it ever end?

What does one place in the sacred Disney Binder? Even scarier, what does someone suffering from Disney OCD place inside such a valuable necessity as her binder? Well, almost everything she can find on the topic of Disney, of course! I have my actual itinerary in there (which is labeled “Version 10”, which explains the need for more ink), my package confirmation and the fact that I have my package completely paid for YAY!!!!! I have rental car information, directions from MapQuest to POP Century and from POP Century to every known place in Walt Disney World. I have all the information you could ever want about Pop Century resort and tons of information about the parks. My binder is broken up into categories and I have TGM plans and Unofficial Guide plans for each park. Yes, I’m way over prepared on how to conquer the parks with minimum wait times. Lastly in my binder are menus for all the restaurants where I will be dining. I’m hoping to be ready to order the minute I sit down at the restaurant. Although I must say, that section of the binder keeps getting bigger and bigger after being upgraded from the regular dining plan to the deluxe dining plan. It’s safe to say that my binder is HUGE and it’s a really good thing that I’m driving because it would take half the weight limit in my suitcase if I were flying. LOL!! Now to figure out how to take just SOME information with me into the parks….any ideas???

For Your Viewing Pleasure Some Pictures from my Binder...you will immediately understand the massive amounts of ink used LOL

HOLD UP…Wait a second; did Jen just say upgraded from dining to deluxe dining? That is correct! My dear father, who introduced me to my first taste of Disney when I was 10, decided to surprise me with an early Christmas gift and treat me to the deluxe plan! Now I’m trying to figure out how I’m going to eat all that food….I think I’ll be using some of my snack credits for sharing goodies with my new friends during Snowbird meets LOL! There are too few days and way too many restaurants to visit! Let’s not even get me started on the crazy intense wait to see a finalized list of 2009 dining plan participating restaurants. I’ve been trying to tell myself to just stay away from the dining boards LOL…just makes me all nervous!!

Oh well…I’d tell you what to expect in the next episode, but I have no idea!! Seriously, you may just get me singing Christmas carols…and if you are a fellow Snowbird, you know just the one I might pick LOL!!!!!

Until Next Time!!!

:scared: Noooooo!!!!! :scared:

Be Afraid...Be very Afraid LOL!!!!!! I listened to it all night last night as I typed my next eppy up LOL!!!

I love it!! DS5 has been walking around signing it too!!!:lmao:

Love it Jen!! And had to say-the Table of Contents page looks just like one of my kids old Science books!! Ha!!!!!

I need to take a picture of my pitiful Disney envelope for you guys!

DH would really think I'd lost it if I brought home a binder! He is pretty tired of trip talk.

My Hubby is full aware that I have completely lost it...he's hoping my sanity will return after the trip..of course I reminded him I'm going again in Dec...LOL

This trip we only had a few months to go insane with planning..... our next trips will be a whole year's worth. (That is, if we go in September with Belle like I have planned in my head.)

AHHHHH...Belle at Disney....She is going to have such a great time LOL!!!!

I know, Jen! I tear up almost every time I think about it! I'm reading a really good trip report about a family that took their son who is a wee bit younger than Belle. He was kissing all of the characters on the nose at Chef Mickey's. Belle is going to have the best time one day!

Imagine when she sees "Go Go" or "Rella" for the first time...makes me all giddy inside!! I can't wait until its my turn to take a little one to Disney!! Even better is when she gets to meet the princess Belle..that will be one cute conversation...LOL

Great update! I have abandoned my Disney binder for that very reason. INK!
However, I plan to use the last portion of my printing credit for the semester to print out all my up to date info. At least the parts that only require black ink....

I've been planning my trip for over a year now.... I think everybody I know is sick of me talking about Disney. I really think it will pay off though, when I can lead Logan around the parks seamlessly.
I've only invested in the Unofficial Guide though... I can't seem to justify TGM...maybe for my next trip.

I've had to put my planning on the back burner as of late... silly school and tests... which reminds me I have to renew my library books....:rolleyes1

Nice update Jen! Binders? hmmmmm. I am still a paper and pencil kind of Gal! I have a 3 subject notebook that I have nearly filled up with notes! The only thing I actually have printed is my list of ADR's, complete with Confirmation numbers! :) I guess I just rely on my photographic memory to keep me going! :goodvibes

Hehehe......List Makers of the World...UNITE. :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I actually haven't made a list of PTR updates though I have thought about it, I just have all that rolling around in my head. I suppose I should commit it to paper. :rotfl2:

Love, Love, Love! Your binder. Super cute and filled with awesome trip information. I attempted to make a binder for my last trip but I just went list crazy and made laminated itinerary cards instead. Marc even made me show them to one of our waitresses during the trip. I have decided I don't need to go that crazy this time, let's see if I hold out. :rolleyes1

Wow what a binder! :worship: I can definitely see where the ink went! I have a 3 ring folder of sorts but I don't want to print until I get it all set. I have a running page of tips and ideas saved on my computer- every time I read something helpful, I add it to my list. When it gets closer I'll print it and throw it in the folder.

That is so awesome laminated itinerary cards...now that is an idea...hmmmm I see I'm going to have a very busy Christmas break..those would definitely not make my backpack heavy!! Great idea LL!!!

I wish you the best of luck not going crazy LOL!! I know I'm enjoying the deep end LOL

Thanks...its amazing the amount of ink that went into that things!!! I also have a list of great tips. I also have a great list of things to say to characters to really make the most of my interactions.

Now I have to switch modes for a bit and work on my Christmas cards and writing our Christmas letter!

I suggest buying 4x6 photo lamination sheets. Those worked wonders. I was able to shrink my type small enough so they weren't too bulky and there was no cutting of the laminating sheets. Because you know if I cut them crooked I would have to do them again. :lmao: Also another tip, I used the luggage size laminating sheets to laminate my LGMH's. Those ones I did end up cutting down though to be the shape of the LGMH. :thumbsup2 Not that I am obsessive or anything. :rolleyes1
