I can hardly wait too. I wish we could leave tomorrow!!
Have you tried WL yet? I've never stayed there but would love to check it out.

Hiya Rosie!

We are going the 7th to 14th.
:cool1: Where are you guys staying?

Yea!!! another Feb person!!!
There seems to be a lot of Febbers this year!

Ok i'm all caught up and back on board! How ya been?
YAY!!!:yay:
All is good here. Just BUSY!!! I feel like I need a vacation or something. ;)

Hi again Kat
Morning Blue !!

Evening Rosie! :goodvibes

Hey girl!!! Checking in with you!!! Can February get here any slower!!!!!!!
I really wish they had added a P&P party! I was going to kidnap Capt. Jack!:rotfl2:

It looks like there won't be ANY Pirate & Princess Parties in 2009!:scared1:

The dates that MK was scheduled to close at 7pm are now changed to normal closing times.

I wish they would just make an official announcement instead of trying to sneak and change the schedule without anyone noticing.

Sorry it has taken me so long to do an update. :guilty:

When we hit the parks, we hit it with a 4 year old in tow. This means we need to take time for a nap EVERY DAY. Once we thought about skipping it and there was a serious melt down in front of MAAANNY people at DHS over a sprite cap falling on the ground. :rolleyes1 We burned stroller rubber leaving that place and vowed to NEVER skip nap time again. :sad2:

Nap time isn't really so bad. It is actually part of our strategy. We get up early enough to make it to rope drop. Yes, every single day of our vacation. But more on this later ;)

The first thing we do when we get through the turnstyle is rent a stroller. We usually just pay for the entire week. That way, each day we only get a stamp at the stroller pick up rather than waiting in the cashier line again. When entering the parks there is an un-said plan that DH and I have for getting to the "IT" ride for that park. DH is usually manning the stroller while I walk along side of it with one hand on the canopy. DS know's to hold on tight "just in case" and we swiftly make our way through the crowd. There is always a point where the crowd gets rather tight. This is the reason I walk on the side of the stroller. People do NOT see the stroller because they are too busy looking UP rather than paying attention to what is around them. They trip over it and will fall on my child. Yes, it has happened before. I apologized even though it WAS NOT our fault, yet we still got chewed out. This is when I decided a "take no prisoners" approach was neccessary. If anyone trips and starts to fall on the stroller, my job is to catch them and cast them aside while we keep moving forward. Barbaric you say?? Well, that's what rope drop is.....BARBARIC. Especially at Epcot heading for Soarin'. In a situation such as this one we stick to the above plan up to the front of the Land pavillion. That's when DH pulls the stroller aside and I power forward with the rest of the crowd to the fast pass machines. Through the doors, around to the other side, down the stairs, (the 'real' stairs are faster) across the bottom level, past the ride entrance to the fast passes!! I get them, then power out of there...back up the stairs, around back to the front, out the door, down the outside ramp and FINALLY I meet up with DH and DS again. This is usually when DH starts laughing at me while I'm gasping for air and clenching the side of my waist because I'm cramping up due to being out of shape. We then usually hit Nemo with no wait at all. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed a quick example of how we roll during rope drop. :thumbsup2

We usually make good use of the fast pass machines during our entire stay. When the window for the fast pass we have opens, we grab another for a different ride before we get on the first ride. If you keep this up as much as possible it works wonders!

One of the main things we stick to is that there is no real plan to stick to. If we have goals for the day, we are willing to change them around if we need to. We stay much happier and we do still eventually get all of our goals done.

Mid-day after lunch we head back to the resort for that nap I was talking about earlier. DH and I kick back on the balcony with a couple of adult beverages while DS sleeps for approximately 2 hours and becomes human again. When DS awakes we are all refreshed and ready to go for round 2 at the parks.

Usually, by this time we are getting close to our dinner ADR time. We head there, eat, drink, be merry then hit some more rides or shows for the rest of the evening. We not only open the parks each morning during our stay, we close them too. The only way we are able to do this for 6 days straight is due the "magical nap". ;)

I hope you have enjoyed the way we roll through Walt Disney World. If I can think up any more installments for "HOW I ROLL", I will post about it. If you have any idea's or questions, just throw them out at me. popcorn::

Up next.....I suppose I will continue with the Park Goals I was already doing before the "how i roll" installments.

I will leave you with some pic's from past trips.....

I miss using a stroller sometimes.
When Nova hit 4, I couldn't get her to stay in the darned thing!!!
I was one heck of a stroller driver!!!

If I weren't afraid of the emotional scarring, I would still put my kids in strollers! It's so much easier to keep track of them!:rotfl2:

Stroller driving in WDW is definitely a skill!!
I'm not looking forward to when DS doesn't want to ride anymore.

I don't see your kiddo's complying with that request.

I love your stroller strategy:thumbsup2
Thanks :thumbsup2

Now that would be a photo!!!

It really would!:lmao: :lmao:
