Such as what is fu-fu? Bobotie? Kofta? Kool slaai? We are going here because 1.) I like to try new foods and 2.) Im curious and have read such great reviews!
But I am not to keen to put something in my mouth without an inkling as to what it is!!!!

Thanks to all you foodies for educating this simple gal!

My DH does NOT like buffets but he really likes Boma! Go to http://allears.net/din/rec.htm and you will be able to see some of the actual Boma recipes - this should give you an idea of what you will find. If copying and pasting the URL doesn't work, go to www.allearsnet.com and click on Dining along the top; then scroll down the left side until you see a link for WDW Recipes.

There are also many chefs behind the serving tables who are more than happy to tell you all about the offerings. Enjoy!

There are only a few things that are reallly different, but the staff can help you with any questions you may have. Also, as it is self serve buffet, you can just take a small portion to try things...if you don't like it, just leave it and move on. I tried almost everything and loved it all!

Lovely! Thank you so much for the link. I have been digging around the menus for days now but never thought to check out actual recipes:rolleyes: Duh! LOL......I think one meal here will not be enough! I better make two ADR's:cheer2:

We are trying Boma for the first time on Wednesday. Does anyone know the current rotations at Boma? (Such as what might be offered next Wednesday?) ;)

We removed an ADR for Jiko to try Boma and the variety it offers in the buffet. The "Boma Rotation" link gives me a good idea of the types of foods we can expect. It sounds delicious and we're feeling adventurous!

I'd appreciate a PM or a post if you went there on a Wednesday recently. Thanks! And I hope you enjoy Boma too, Iott family! :)

We ate at Boma August of 07 and we loved it. I'll definetely be going back in 2009.

At 3:30 or 4pm most days, there's a free culinary tour of Jiko and Boma. They take you into Jiko, let you try their breads/dipping sauces, and one of the chefs comes out and tells you about the menu. Then you troop over to Boma and the chefs tell you all about all of the menu items, answer your questions, give you a zebra dome, and send you on your way. If you're iffy on it and you've got a little time to kill some afternoon, you might consider going.

Wow, that sounds like a great take in. Will add that to my list of to do for next visit. Thanks!
