Is WL worth the $? over POR or Pop

We have reservations at WL for 2 nights with an AP rate for January 2-9 before our 5 night stay at BWV. (Wish we could do the new promo but we arrive 2 days earlier than it starts ) They only have courtyard view available at WL.

We're thrilled to stay at the WL but I keep wondering if it's worth the $120 more per night than POR and $160 more than POP. We arrive early in the day so we will be able to take advantage of the resort for the two full days Our reasons for the WL are to view the Christmas decor at all of the area resorts, go to the MK and queen beds. (I know CSR has queens but they are not available with the AP promo).

We have stayed at POR before and really enjoyed it. (There are 4 of us - DH, DD 21, DD 18 and myself). We will not have a car. Would appreciate your advice

In my opinion WL is a beautiful resort and for a 2 night stay it is not a lot of money. I always have trouble justifying the extra $$ though when I feel that any of the moderates are just as nice!!

I think that it would be worth it for two nights. Splurge. Its such a beautiful hotel! Go and just sit in the lobby. You will have a wonderful time. Its only $240! And you can take the boat over to MK. That's fun. Go to the beach and watch the fireworks.

Its just so pretty there. I have never stayed there and never will be able to with 3 kids , but dearly wish that I could. (rooms for only 4 people) I just love the look and feel there.

Do it! Have fun! It'll be great.

Absolutely! We split a stay last July between POR and the Villas at Wilderness Lodge. We LOVED the lodge! The lobby is as amazing in person as everyone says, and I can just imagine how beautiful it would be with Christmas decorations. Being a ferry ride away from Magic Kingdom is awesome and it is nice to go out on the beach at night and watch the water parade. I truly think you will be happy you made the choice to stay there.

Glad to hear positive things about WL-we will stay there in Jan & usually stay at the Poly...I am hoping not to be let down. It looks like a beautiful place. I am almost wondering if I should upgrade to woods view though. I don't want a view of the parking lot or garbage dumpsters!!!!

Absolutely! We did a split stay starting at WL and ending at POR this past April - I really wish we had the option to do it the other way around - actually, I wish we didn't have to leave WL - but they were booked!

Anyway - AWESOME resort!!

Yes -- WL is beautiful and you can visit the MK on those days.

Then at BWV you can visit Epcot & DHS, all without taking the busses!

WL is themed so well that it's really beautiful. (Plus they might still have those gorgeous xmas decorations up on Jan 2nd for you to enjoy).

I'm so excited! I just booked us at the WL in June using the 7 for 4 promotion. We've never stayed deluxe before, and it has always been my dream to stay at the WL. We justified the extra money (over staying at POP on the same deal) by driving instead of flying.

We've had dinner at the WL several times, and now I'm just so happy to be able to stay there!!!!

Never stayed at POR or POP, but I have stayed at CBR, CSR, and WL. I say, no not worth the expense. WL is a beautiful resort, but not that much nicer than CBR or CSR. I am sticking with mod's.

I bet you will love it. I remember the first time I stayed there...it was very special and to this day remains one of my favorites. Staff is great, property is beautiful, Whispering Canyon is fun, boat to MK is so convenient and so much more of an adventure than waiting and riding a bus.

I think you will be very happy with your decision.
