Changed my dates...but keeping the thread going for everyone!!!

(OK...well even though I have changed my dates I will leave my ADR's up here...they still will be the same...MAYBE. lol)

OK, well here are the ADR's I am looking/thinking about right now. Still not 100% on what/where I want to do DH's birthday celebration so I may add either a fireworks cruise with a meal, or HDDR, but who knows...

Ok, here goes...

on DDP...

Coral Reef ~ Weve been here before and all liked it well!!! Love the steak.
Tusker House Breakfast ~ We had this on our last day there in June and loved it.
50's Prime Time ~ Family Fave
Le Cellier ~ New to us. Almost went a couple yrs ago and listened to some bad reviews and now wishing we would have went...so were going!!!
Cape May Cafe Dinner ~or~ Ohana Breakfast ~ Weve done CMC before and liked it fine...but the Ohana breakfast is something we have not done yet and I would like to and this is the one meal no one cared if we gave up.
Whispering Canyon Cafe ~ This use to be my DH's favorite place...then they changed the menu a little and we didn't go for a while and now he wants to go again.
Crystal Palace Breakfast ~ This is family tradition while at WDW and no one wants to break it.
Liberty Tree Tarven ~ This is the kids favorite meal I think. This is the one that ask for each time we go now!

OOP...

Sci Fi for a lite lunch ~ We skipped this one year and my kids about had a fit. They could care less about the food...they just want to eat in the cars. Esp my DS8
Tex Rex ~ This is new in DTD and we seen it being put up while we were there in June and I promised my DS we would eat there when we went back...so were going to give it a try!

We have talked about changing a few of these. I am not much of a breakfast eater, and DH has to take medication with a meal each morning and he doesn't like waiting to long or it upsets his stomach so were thinking we may eat most of our breakfasts in our room. We will take our mini micro, and we already have a fridge in the room so were pretty much set. So I may be looking for a few more dinners instead. I know we will have one breakfast for sure...the last day were in the park before heading for home.

OOOooo, lucky you...the Poly! That is one place I want to stay at. One day!!!
Looks like were the only ones planning so far though...lol.

I am soooo excited about staying at the Poly! I've only stayed at Port Orleans Riverside in the past and I absolutley love that resort.
BTW whats a pirate room?

CBR has some rooms that they are in the process of redoing. It will have a Pirates of the Caribbean theme to them. According to the picture we will be sleeping in Pirate ship bed. The curtain will have a skull and cross bones on it. It just really looks neat. If you go on the Diseny world website and look at the CBR there is a link to click to view what the rooms will look like. It is costing me a lil bit more BUT my DS8 (will be 9 when we go) will just LOVE it. The rooms are supposed to be ready in January 2009. I can't wait to see real pictures of them.

Lol 8 months is not that far away! Where are all the Juliers?

So far this is my list of ADR's
San Angel Inn
California Grill
Kona Cafe
Le Cellier
Coral Reef
Mama Melroses
The Wave
Narcoossee's

We're still deciding though. There are so many other places I want to try but won't be able to since we are only going for 5 nights.

You have some nice places on there. I am looking forward to this trip as much for the eating as the vacation part of it. I am and have been dieting for what seems like forever now...and while I don't go CRAZY on vacation I do allow myself a few extra treats every now and then while we are there. LOL.
I keep debating with myself if I should add the WAVE onto my list. I think were going to drop a couple of breakfasts and replace them with dinners...and the Wave makes my short list. lol

My whole trip is going to revolve around eating! We got the deluxe dining plan so we can have 3 sit down meals a day if we wanted but that is way too much food for me! We will probably skip breakfast or lunch somedays and have a nice dinner at the signature restaurants. I usually eat a lot on disney vacations because I figure all the walking and running around balances it out lol.
As for the Wave, I've only heard good things about it and the menu seems really good. I figured we can take a break from magic kingdom one afternoon and have a relaxing lunch.

Any possibity I can join the party? We have Ressies for All Star Music on 7/8/09 til 7/17/09. My Grand daughter will be having her 13th birthday at WDW. She will turn 13 on 7/10/09 and her brother will be 15 at the trip. We are all very exited about our trip but kinda sad that we are not going to visit the magic this trip.

As far as dining we enjoy Liberty Tree, Cystal Palace, Yet & Yeti, Garden Grill, Mama Melrose, Hollywood and Vine and others. It is very hard to make those final decisions. I do not believe that we will take part in the dining plan this trip as I want to eat eariler in the day. We can share meals as there is way too much food. On the other hand the DDP makes it so easy. Thank God I have several week left before I have to make those ressies.

Welcome! Its so great knowing that there are others planning for July as well. My birthday happens to be the same as your granddaughters'! Unfortunatley, I won't be in disney for my birthday but will be there the week after.
How is Mama Melrose's? I'm kind of on the fence with that restaurant being that I'm Italian and can be picky when eating Italian food other than my grandmas lol.

Are you going to use the park hopper option or stick to one park per day? I just can't decide. In the past we have paid for the hopper and did not use it much. I think if we do not get DDP and eat our sit down meal for lunch we might use the hopper more. I just can't decide.

Have you all decided which park you are going to visit on which day of your stay. Any idea on how busy the parks will be? I have never visited during the summer but have always gone in the fall. I am no longer allowed to take the kids out of school. That is why we are going in July. Lois

I've only gone to Disney during the summer so I really can't compare it to other times of the year. Its usually more crowded on the weekends, especially saturday. If you get to the parks early and hit the more popular rides first, then take a break for lunch when the crowds are at their highest, you'll be fine. Waiting in lines is part of the disney experience, and I really don't mind escaping from the heat for a while and waiting in an air conditioned line. Fast Passes also helps a lot!!! :cool2:

Beth seems to need more sleep so we thought we would let her sleep in in the mornings and plan to stay till close. We plan to eat lunch during the peak for the crowds. I figure having her rested and happy will keep me happy. We we don't get to bed till midnight or later she will need to sleep till at least 9AM. That means we miss the first slow time but can manage the late nights. There is no way we can handle both.

During the fall the waits are only 5 to 30 min. However, the parks close earilier. So I think it will all work out.

Mama Melrose, I really enjoyed the food but I guess if you have had the real stuff I would stay away. Just for the record Liberty Tree is not going to be a character experience any longer. I am kinda sad about that.

Well I need to shower and get ready for a long day at work. Lois

We use park hoppers ALOT! We almost always spend the morning in one park and the afternoon in another. Since your not use to going in summer months you may want to consider this as well. AM EMH's make the world of difference...but by lunch time the park is packed and switching parks is usually the best option...at least for us. PM EMH's are nice to, but alot more crowded. Not to mention this year it seems that they are talking about or already have done away wiith the wristbands...which is going to make it more crowded imo. If you opt not to use the hopper options I would suggest going to a park that DOES NOT have a EMH that day.
I haven't decided which park on which day yet. I will hold off til right before I make my final ADR's. I will double check on the website the EMH's and try to avoid those parks for dinners, etc. Yes...the parks will be BUSY!!!! Not only will they be busy, they will be hot. Plan breaks in the day and plan for lots of drinks too.

WHAT? OK, where did you hear this...who am I going to hafta beat up? I know it is not a character meal during lunch but I didn't know they were doing away with it at dinner....that stinks!
