PTR for the planning obsessed....Updated 11/5 We're home now.

Thanks everyone for dancing with me!

I tried every, EVERY door on that street and the Florist Shop is the only one that opened.

LL that was too funny about Marc....didn't you write someone about the shops on your TR? I can't remember now.
Yes, we pretended to open them. We had a lot of fun.

I am SO going to make my teen and tween run up and down the street looking for an open door!

I can't believe how quickly your trip is coming up!

Here's some dancing for your 7 days away.....

:dance3: :dance3:  :cool1: :cheer2: pixiedust: :jumping1: :tigger: :mickeyjum :dogdance:

and that is very cool about the Florist door....have to remember that for next time

as well your DHS day is looking good...don't forget to spend some time at HISTK playset, I bet Liam would like exploring around there.

Vacation Day Five Thursday October 30

This is our very relaxing day....

Breakfast: I WILL have Tonga Toast today.....either at Kona Cafe or at Captain Cooks in the Poly.

After breakfast the boys will drop me off at Downtown Disney so I can shop...in peace....all by myself. Ahhhhhhh like heaven in a shopping bag. I have my list of Mr Potato parts that I need. I'll also be on the look out for a poster to replace one that I had framed and matted that I don't care for know. The boys will be relaxing and playing and "swimming" at the resort today.

The boys will join me at DtD for lunch....McDonalds for Liam and Earl of Sandwich for DH and I. We'll finish up shopping, then it's back to CBR for more relaxing.

Dinner is at 'Ohana's tonight.....DH's only request of the trip. I want to explore the Poly after dinner and if timing is right I'd love to catch the Electric Water Parade.

I'm thin on pictures today.....

Mmmm, Tonga Toast and shopping. What a delicious combination! I hope you get to catch the Electric Water Parade and have a great dinner at Ohana's.

I love your old trip photos! It must get you so excited to know you'll be there so soon! :goodvibes

Your getting so close now!! I'm so excited for you. I've put tonga toast on my to-do list for my solo trip too. I've been wanting to try it since I was a kid staying at the Poly, and they just called it stuffed french toast. No one in my family would go back over to the Poly with me to have it. Alone I can do whatever I like...so tonga toast it is!

WOAH! I wish I had known you could open some of the doors!

I will have you know I just told Marc that some of the doors could open and this is what happenend....

Marc "We should go back"

Me "This year?"

Marc "No."

Me "That's mean"

Marc - looks at me & smiles.

Me - thinks Marc is a jerk.

Me "Next year?" Hoping that he wasn't thinking this year meant 2009.

Marc "Yes"

Me "2009!??!"

Marc "Yes, if we can get moved & have money to go in December 2009 then Yes."

Me - yelps, screams, does a jig. :goodvibes

So thanks, Heidi! I now have the leverage to get a 2009 trip. :yay: :thumbsup2 :yay: :thumbsup2 :yay:

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! I would love to get a chance to see you while I'm down there. :)

Vacation Day Six Friday October 31 2008 Halloween

Let me just say that I love Love LOVE Animal Kingdom.

Today starts out with an 8am ADR at the Tusker House for breakfast. I really hope we make it there in time for it. The plan for today calls for no afternoon break because we plan to leave AK by 3:45pm. I did their parade once...and that was enough. Lunch will be Restaurantosaurs or the Yak & Yeti Local Cafes (CS). I've never done the character trails in Camp Minnie-Mickey so I'm looking forward to seeing that area this trip.

After AK we will return to the hotel for a rest. Tonight we are going to DtD to go trick or treating at the stores in the Marketplace. Dinner plans tonight will be Wolfgang Puck Express....and Dessert plans are for Ghiradeilli's (I have the whole menu printed out!)

I see a lot of people take a picture of this shrine in Asia....

What I don't see is a lot of pictures with it lined up to match the mountains in the Expedition Everest attraction mountain-scape.

I never noticed that with the shrine before - pretty cool.

I used to love Tarzan Rocks. It may be a bit of sacrilidge but I actually loved it more than Nemo. I loved the energy of that show.

I've got to start a picture taking list- place I have to get pics of when I go!

That picture of EE with the shrine in front of it is great - I never really noticed the shrine before - let alone that EE is the same shape!

What she said, except that I've never seen either in person! But you better believe I'm going to take that same picture! Too cool Heidi! :thumbsup2

I'm going to stick a post it note on there that says "Lara was here" for Trixie to take a picture of when she gets there. :lmao:

Wow, Heidi, again I love the photos! And much like everyone else, I never even noticed you could line up EE with that shrine. That's so cool! :goodvibes

I got to see it once before it closed. I like Nemo better.

It will be a long list!

It was really busy near it because people like to stand in front of it to get EE in the background.

Thanks, you can wow your children with the info!

Thanks! Those imagineers really think of every detail.

You know I am loving the AK pictures!!!

I do have a similar picture of the shrine lined up to match EE -- one of my favorite pictures ever is Chelsea and Connor in front of it clutching their little stuffed yetis!
