Yep - you walk through and in front of you is IOA and to the right is US.

Starbucks coffee is also available at the Hard Rock Hotel at Emack & Bolio’s in case you find yourself over there.

When I stayed at HRH this summer, we would walk to the theme parks and did not have to pass through CityWalk (unless we wanted to).

Right but most people have to walk through CityWalk if you're coming from the garage. There's really no way to avoid it and it's not a thing.

Can anyone tell me if the Starbucks in Citywalk sells pastries or is it just a walk-up stand that serves coffee? We're staying 2 nights/3 days at RPR and are looking for some cheap(er) breakfast options...

Parking is certainly something Disney has on Universal. At Disney you get out of car, onto a tram and then arrive at the gate. At a Universal, it's a long walk to the gate. The good thing is that park hopping is much easier.

The citywalk Starbucks does have pastries. There is also a Cinnabon in Citywalk.

I would have to say the opposite. Universal has the parking over Disney because at Disney your car becomes an oven sitting out in the sun from the time you arrive until the time you are ready to leave. At UO, your car is in a shaded parking garage. I'll take the walk and moving sidewalks over baked skin and missed/overpacked trams anyday of the week. The only "smoked" legs I enjoy at the parks are the turkey legs... not my own from overheated seats in the car.

I agree...I'll take the walk from the garage over waiting 30 + mins to get from the lot to the MK. Or waiting for the tram in the hot sun.

Ok, we will be staying at RPR will I have to walk through city walk? This will be our first onsite stay there, I have never noticed where the resorts are. Do you just walk to the parks or do you catch a bus??popcorn::

You can walk or take the water taxi. The water taxi is a free service. :goodvibes

When walking from RPR do you walk through city walk??:rolleyes1

You have choices. From the RPR you can walk on the beautiful path which brings you out to City Walk by Margaritaville. Or...you can take the water taxi which also drops you off at City Walk. Or..you can take a bus which drops you off closer to Universal Studios. We always walked to the parks and sometimes took the water taxi back to the RPR.

So...if you walk or take the water taxi, you will go through City Walk. If you take the bus, you can go to Universal Studios without encountering City Walk , but will have to walk the full length of City Walk to get to Islands of Adventure.
