WL Flag Family - Can someone who is disabled participate?

We'll be traveling with my parents and staying at the WL. I have my heart set on being the flag family one day with them as a surprise. The kicker is that my dad is disabled. He can walk and could definitely do a few stairs, but can't stand for long. He'll be using a scooter at the hotel and within the parks. Is there any way he can do this? How much climbing is necessary?

Thanks so much, in advance!

Unfortunately, there are a LOT of stairs to climb. The elevators only go so high, and then you have to go up stairs inside the Lodge as well as the final stairway that's outside (but enclosed) on the way to the roof. :(

Aw bummer. Thank you so much for the information. I may still try to do it with just our family of four before my parents arrive, but I really wanted to surprise them with this special opportunity. Oh well. Thank you again.

1) They tell you when you sign up, no handicaps that prevent stairs.
2) No excuses.
3) The roof is not handicapped accessible.
4) You get to roof
. . . elevator to 7th floor
. . . walk to roof stairs
. . . double-flight of stairs to roof
. . . single-flight of steep stairs to upper roof where flags are located
5) It may sound cruel, but you are about 95 feet up and down.
6) On the good side, you get views of four parks from there.
7) bring your cameras and camcorders.

NOTE: Having climbed the steps too many times, sometimes handicapped folks show up expecting to do flags, and we tell them no. They might get upset, but that is the way it is. The simple rules are:
. . . must respect the flags
. . . must be able to climb steps unassisted
. . . must not have more than six in your party

You will also might get asked about
. . . controlling young kids, so they don't wander or panic at the height
. . . controlling mentally challenged, so they climb or don't panic
. . . controlling those fears of heights, since you look straight down
