that almost every ride at Universal Studios is somehow connected with Steven Spielberg? Think about it, he produced men in black, directed E.T., directed Jaws, executive producer of Back to the Future (when it was still there), executive producer of Shrek, executive producer of Twister. I think the only ride that is not connected with him is the Mummy!

I'm not saying this is a bad thing - I worship the ground he walks on, I just thought it was kind of funny

...I love Steven Spielberg more than any of you people... :rotfl:

Anyways, has anyone ever noticed this?

Sure and don't forget about Jurassic Park at IOA.

Personally I could go for a Tim Burton-based park.

He's been partners with Universal/Dreamworks for a long time....probably the only production company who pays him the chunkiest. The second being Paramount (Transformers; War of the Worlds)

Spielberg was one of the creative leads for Universal in building the parks, so it's no coincidence. He also had a role in designing the Spiderman ride.

Attractions that are/were Spielberg related:

Jaws
MIB
BTTF
Feivel's Playland
E.T.
Jurassic Park
Spiderman
Beetlejuice (I think)

Personally I could go for a Tim Burton-based park.

That would be awesome! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the reply's everyone; I was starting to feel crazy XD
You know you're pretty accomplished when you pretty much have a theme park based on your work

He's still in the E.T. pre-show video, too, isn't he? It's been a while since I've been on E.T., but I've always liked it. It's a simple ride, but cute!

Yeah he is! I always get way too excited and scare everyone in line :rotfl:

I was so sad when they replaced it in Hollywood with the Mummy ride. The ride's okay but E.T. is a classic! I like him saying my name

Steven Spielberg serves as the creative consultant for Universal (I'm not sure if he still does, because the new attractions like Simpsons, Mummy, Harry Potter, and other relatively new additions to the parks have nothing to do with Spielberg.) Anyway, if I was creative consultant for a park, I'd want my ideas and projects in it!!! That's why his movies are featured through the park...he pretty much designed some of it:rotfl:

If I'm not mistaken, Spielberg's deal with Universal for helping to create the attractions included 1/2% or 1% of all future ticket sales. I read that somewhere, but not sure where.
