Thanks. But what do you do if you want to eat lunch or dinner and use your mugs at the same time?

Good question. Since drinks come with the dining plan (assuming you are on it), I would assume you could still fill them. And if not on dining plan, just fill them as you normally would.

Hey gang.. I was wondering if someone could clear this up for me.
When we first ate here this week we were told by our server that the 10% gratuity was not covered if we were on the dining plan. I was sure I had read otherwise so about half way through the meal I went and asked the manager on duty and they too said that the 10% was not covered if you were on the DDP.:confused3
So we have been paying the 10 percent all week (which we were also told could not be charged to our card and had to be cash:confused3 )
Was I mistaken or was it included at one time?
Either way... not a huge deal... only amounts to abut 20 or 30 dollars for our whole stay.
I'm just curious.

I'm almost wondering if it wasn't a mistake the first night...and I have just been tipping all week based on misinformation.
Oh well..
Not an issue in the grand scheme of things.:)

hi all...we just booked CSR for an extra night of our trip. We decided to arrive one day early and couldn't get into GF so I decided to try CSR. We are booked in business club level as that was the only thing available aside from a junior suite. I know club level is new for 2009 but why is it referred to as business club level :confused3 :confused3 Anyway...what building will we be in for business club level? I'm excited to stay at CSR for one night. We are driving straight through from Indiana and wanted a resort with a nice food court and quiet atmosphere as we'll be tired and need to relax. Thanks in advance for the help!

Club level will be in Cabanas 9B.
Be careful. We were deluxe only people until we stayed at CSR!!!:)

I liked the food at the pepper market but have never come across such unhappy looking staff and I am from the uk. No Disney magic. Yes you can get cheap steak (on the dining plan) but I would rather eat average food say at the Sci fi or 50's primetime (costs could be similar if paying out of pocket) with people who at least seem to enjoy their work.

No one says you have to eat at the Pepper Market. They also have the new Cafe Rix with some great food options. Staying at CSR doesn't limit you to only the Pepper Market. WDW has loads of choices.

We are almost packed and ready to leave for CSR tomorrow! I wanted to thank everyone, especially KatMark and Buzz2001, on this thread for the vast amount of information. It has been a few years since we've stayed at CSR and this thread was truly helpful! I'll be sure to take lots of pics and let you all know about our stay!

Already planning for our first CSR stay in April. Question: Are there water spigots near the sandy beach area around the cabanas? My DDs love to make sandcastles but from the pictures, you obviously cannot access the lake water. And....you can't make sandcastles without water;) Anyone know if there are spigots to fill up a bucket with water???

Hello my CSR fan friends, we returned home from another trip to the World and our first (of many for sure) stay at CSR. I will write more later but just wanted to say that the CSR is beautiful! We stayed in Cabana 9A room 9625. We did not have queen beds. Like I said Ill wite more later.

I'm still considering changing our weekend trip in Nov from ASMO to CSR. However, my TA told me on Friday that the 'casitas' are now all suites, so if I change our resort we will have to be in Cabanas or Ranchos. Is this information my TA gave me accurate? Also, are there refrigerators and coffee makers standard in the rooms?

The casitas are not all suites. I think what she meant to say was that all the suites are in the casitas. Even that is not entirely true. 1 jr suite is located in cabana 9b and 1 is located in cabana 8b.

We just returned last night from a week at CSR and could not be happier. We stayed in Ranchos and found the distance minimal if we cut across the lake bridge to El Centro. Bus Stop 3 was within 1 minutes walk and we rarely needed El Centro anyway. The pool was beautiful but we did not use it. Bus service was consistently great. Our only issue was with using the resort check in for the airline and it was a mess from start to finish. ME was lovely, we will just check in at the airport next time. Bell Services was happy to keep our lugage after check out for a trip to DTD.

We had 2 queen beds (I think, DH and I each took one!), no towel animals, fridge and coffeepot are standard. I tried tipping mousekeeping but the envies (clearly marked) remained each day  and I never saw our mousekeeper to thank him or her in person. In any account the room was clean the whole time. :thumbsup2 DSAs were hard to find at the resort but plentiful (but sunny) at each park.

Thanks to everyone for all the information we used in planning our first trip to Disney!

I hope someone can answer a few of my questions here!

1. I never stayed here but my sister did and when we visited her room, the room was very dark. Are they all like this?

2. What is the difference between casitas and cabanas?

That's it for now, but I'm sure I will have many more!!!;)
